3.5IN to 5.25IN Mounting Kit Rails for FLOPPY/HARD Drives

Bought these to put a hard drive into a 5.25 inch bay and simply works fine. It could use some better quality on the screws since they are easily broken after a few use. Overall, good for the price and works as advertise.

These are pretty simple brackets that do exactly what they are supposed to do and nothing else. No rubber mountings or anything like that.. you get two pieces of metal that let you put a 3.5in drive (or a 2.5in drive in 3.5in bracket) into a 5.25 bay.

Instead of buying a 5.25 to 2.5 kit, I bought this because my SSD came with a 3.5 adapter. So now my SSD sits in two adapters. A little wobbly, maybe? Well, good thing SSD's don't spin or move or stuff. And with some screws that did NOT come with this adapter, I was able to make it work.

It may sound obvious but it took a while to figure out the best way to use these rails. I had extra 5.25 bays but needed to mount a 3.5 inch drive, these were cheap and effective but a little picture of how to use them would have been nice!

it works as advertised; it will allow one to mount 3.5" devices into a 5.25" slot. I used this to mount an extra hard drive into a case that ran out of internal 3.5" bays.

Wonderful part, it does the job perfectly. I ordered four of them, and have not used any yet, but I checked and they have the right dimensions and screw-holes (that sounds dirty). They are shiny metal and have all the features that I would like to see in a set of drive brackets.

Used this to mount one of my Samsung 500GB hard drives. When some MX-7 paste is applied to it, this can act as a passive hard drive cooler!

It's $2.43, what do you expect. It does the job. It may have vibration but it's not made for sound deadening anyways.

I bought these since the hard drive bays in some of the cases I bought scratched the hard drives. These are good, they come with a good amount of screws so that you don't have to go hunting for some on your own.

bought 3 sets of these to mount extra 3.5" HDD to 5.25" bays. it came with ample amount of screws and was very easy to put up. this product does what it's supposed to.

Very affordable brackets. Not much to say, they do what they functionally should. The package included screws so it's all you need to adapt a 3.5" drive to a 5.25" bay. Good value.

This dirt cheap gadget could do more than simply allow an extra hard drive to be fitted. I've been a believer in keeping drives as cool as possible, especially with heavy use - and so I've used various cooling solutions. Spacing drives and using a large quiet fan will work just as well though and be quieter (as checked with hddtemp during huge file transfers).

I used this in a CM 690 case as there is no solution (save cutting metal) for IDE drives. I rigged this thing up in a few minutes, and installed a WD80gig into a 5.25 bay. Very solid mounting rails. In fact, so solid that now my computer hums with the HD. Very annoying sound.... All my efforts to silence my computer have been in vain.... Aside from the noise, great product.

they are quite versatile when you include the option of mounting hdd's upside down. Using three pairs of these i mounted 3 hdd's in two 5 1/4" slots with a 120mm fan in front of them.

My case and a lot of other cases I notice has 5+ 5.25 bays I needed some extra room for hard drives. These were a great in expensive solution

This is a good way to add more hard drives to your system even in small towers. Cheap, quick to install and even comes with its own screws!What's even better is that it works fine with drive rails that many towers have.I can see this being useful even if you do have enough 3.5" drive space in the tower... lots of times CD/DVD drive bays are pretty empty and moving one of the 3.5" drives to that space could improve air flow spread the heat more evenly.

If you run out of room in your computer for HDs, this is the solution. Make sure you have enough room in your tower before buying this item.

Had to use a 5.25 bay for an extra hard drive after i ran of out of spacing apart my hard drives in my 3.5 bays, and these brackets are just what i needed. Came with 8 screws (ie plenty). Recommended.

They are just a mounting kit. Very useful.I expected to only get 4 screws, but instead these came with eight. Great thing to get more than you need of. I needed two, I got six.

Good price on an item that alot of people might need. If you run out of room in your computer for HDs, this is the solution. Also, who really uses the spare 5 1/4 slots anyways?

Cet adapteur pour montage de disque dur 3.5 pouces dans un emplacement de 5.25 pouces est fonctionnnel. Il serait bien par contre qu'un ensemble de vis soit inclus avec celui-ci.

this kit is great if you have many hard drives and don't want them too close to each other. my drives run cooler now because of the better air flow, and i won't be needing a hard drive cooler now thanks to these.
