I bought this box to run a Raid 5 secure archiving system for a large quantity of image files. This box is surprisingly easy to set up and get going. It does take a long time to format itself and get synchronized but once done it appears as a drive with a drive letter on the system and connected by ethernet cable only it is both fast and quiet. I experienced a Windows crash while setting it up and thought I was in for some serious technical help issues, however, this box has enough built in firmware smarts that it just sorts itself out and keeps on ticking. It is easier to set up than formatting a new single large hard drive. There are several options as to how it can be set up for a more complex business installation than my simple home system but to get it going for me was no problem at all, just set up a password for the administrator and a name and password for the user and it does all the rest.
