I bought one of these late last year and only backed up my files on it ONCE. Went to use is today, and it is dead. All 3 of my PCs won't even acknowledge it is there. Really disappointed. |

i got this drive like two months ago. for price and size good deal. the only con is needing extrnal power. shipping good too. 98% of all my computer needs are TigerDirect. |

I had this drive for 3 months , I used it for work to keep my photos and videos on it. The drive stopped working one day and the manufacturer said it is a HDD malfunction , Lost 2 years worth of work on the drive. manufacturer transferred me to a 3-rd party HDD data recovery who want's to charge me $1800.00 for my data to be recovered. manufacturer SAID THAT I HAD TO TURN THE DRIVE OFF WHEN I DO NOT USE IT! THIS DRIVE IS RUBBISH! GET WESTERN DIGITAL! |

From having read other reviews of hard drives I thought that this equipment was what I wanted and it was. I was disappointed though with the information that came with it that said there was free backup software available with it. When you tried to get the free software they requested a fee. I worked around that by using my Windows XP disk and uploaded the backup program on it to all the computers I wanted to backup. |

I have a Green Hard Disk and this drive is far better. Quiet, slek, and fast; this drive beats them all. The Benton Computer Dr. Trust me; I'm a Doctor. |

A great buy. Nothing to install if you have used USB storage on your PC before. Internally a 3rd party 5900RPM, 16Meg Buffer, and moves data 30meg second. I would have preferred NAS features in hindsight. |
