Cons: Inadequate instructionsSome joints are very stiff to begin with

Pros: Very SturdyCable ManagementLarge range of possible adjustments
Comment:
This is a very well built monitor arm, you get what you pay for with this. The arm itself is primarily metal, and has a very sleek/professional look in my opinion. For the most part the instructions for assembly/use made sense. However I ran into one situation where I could not figure out how to move one part of the arm one way, and could not find what I needed to loosen to do this. It took me quite a while to figure out that the arm is very stiff at first in some areas. These arms do a great job of keeping my monitors level and positioned properly, and I would highly recommend them.

Cons: - assembly instructions...sort of- cable management

Pros: - solid construction- installation options (clamp to desk or other)- extension arm (optional) available - customer service
Comment:
I'll be brief. I would buy this unit again without hesitation. However, upon assembly, I kept trying to make sure the unit pivoted, rotated etc., right out of the box before setting it up. It does NOT work that way and functions perfectly once assembled. Customer service clearly explained how the counter balance works (and also how it is VERY stiff out of the box until assembled and until the spring is flexed and until internal lubricants get a chance to work).Cable management will be fine for most users (I have three video sources hooked up to my monitor and it's not fair to expect any arm to accommodate that many cables).

Cons: The system that hides the wires isn't as great as it seems. Odd that part of the wire is completely hidden on one part of the arm and only attached to the outside on the other. Vertical movement not quite as high as I'd hoped. A screw allows the screen to remain horizontal while moving it but in reality, doesn't really work (not a big issue).

Pros: Sturdy build and great look. Incredible amount of set-up possibilities!
Comment:
Set this up at the end of my bed with my 10lbs 27in monitor and it's simply AMAZING! The fact that the screen can now be placed closer while simply "hovering" over my legs is perfect! The attachable desk stand is very simple to attach and move around whenever I need to move my gear to another workstation or temporary set-up. It would have been nice to be able to tilt the screen a little bit more as I sometimes have it set-up "over-me" and it can't be tilted even close to flat (pointing the screen's surface towards the ceiling or ground) but only inconvenient in very specific situations I encounter. No problems for normal desk uses. Now I want a second arm for my other screen! If you have 2 screens, definitely go for the dual arm model!

Cons: Cable management could be better.

Pros: Easy to set up, lifts the monitor high enough to not be covered by a 17inch laptop. Sturdy and excellent build quality
Comment:
I use this monitor arm on my 24inch monitor and I was little worried about the weight limit that this arm can hold up, but even at 21.5lbs it has no problem keeping the monitor steady and sturdy.

Cons: The cable management bracket is a little tight if your cables are thick

Pros: Solid constructionArms long enough for 27" and possibly 30" monitorsSeveral mounting options
Comment:
I am using 3 of these to hold up 3 27 inch monitors, so long as the monitors are under 20lbs, there is no issue with 27 inch monitors, I think they even have the reach to hold 30 inch monitors if they were under 20lbs. These arms look great and also do a great job

Cons: Price

Pros: Looks good, rotates 360 degrees, strong and works well.
Comment:
I had owned the previous model of the Ergotron LX in black and while that arm was good, this newer model is definitely better as it has tweaked the performance of the LX in the redesign.I had purchased this new mount in particular because it can rotate counter-clockwise in which many other mounts available in the market does not have the ability to rotate counter-clockwise.I am currently using a Dell 2209WA monitor on the mount and it has no problems supporting the monitor, whereas the previous model seemed to droop down.

glad i bought this, after being inspired by my office LCD mount arms. it's very sturdy, sometimes too sturdy and i need two hands to move it! the cable management is a little wonky though, not much room for actual cables.

Cons: Table edge clamp should be a little sturdier

Pros: Works better than expected, very easy to adjust, through table mounting is rock solid, love it.
Comment:
I bought 2 of these and I tried to mount one of them on the edge of my table. Since my table top had a 1" wide brace underneath along the edge, I couldn't get the edge clamp to hold solidly enough so I opted to drill a hole for the through-mount. In an ideal situation, the clamp is probably strong enough, but I would have liked to have seen a little thicker steel for this part given the price. The rest of the arm is just about perfect and I still think it's worthy of 5 stars.

Cons: Hard to tell when base is tight enough to anchor when first installing.

Pros: Very Sturdy, easy to set up.
Comment:
Very sturdy and easy to set up. Very easy to overly tighten the base when first installing. It frees up desk space and allows for easy rearrangement of my monitors when using them for different purposes.

Cons: -Cable management was a pain to get working

Pros: -Easy to move-Looks great
Comment:
Looks great, very well-made, and can either be locked in place or move with the touch of a finger. Works beautifully with my Dell U2311. The only issue I had with it was when I was initially putting it together, the cables refused to sit properly in the arm. After wrestling with it for a few minutes, I managed to get them to route through the arm properly. My initial cable routing problems were probably just due to the sheer amount of cables I have in there (five). All in all, a great monitor stand. I'll be getting another few for my other computers.

Pros: easy to assemblevery sturdyversatile movementallows good cable management

I hooked this up to my 24 inch 18 pound LCD monitor. The arm is very sturdy and there are screws to tweak how tight you want the joints to be. Would buy again for a dual monitor setup.

Cons: Limited at a max of 20lbs and it should have came with nuts & bolts.read review

Pros: Looks, sturdy and the height adjustment at 13inches-no other stand can reach that lift.
Comment:
Overall the best purchase I ever made. Only thing that I was annoyed with was that it should have came with a nut/bolt combo in case the monitor does not have vesa mounts. In which I had a problem with I own a Samsung T260HD and had to purchase an a vesa adapter for this to work. Only problem that vesa adapter was for a wall mount so there was no way for it to work without proper nuts & bolts.

Cons: Cable management design isn't ideal if you are running the cords back to a laptop/dock on the desk.

Pros: Great alternative to monitor stands for docking stations. Easy to bring the monitor up and down, and forward and back so that it's comfortable for each person.
Comment:
So far I've bought four of these for my company. We have some workstations beside one another, and it allows one employee to quickly swivel the monitor to show the other. I plan to buy more instead of Dell & Lenovo monitor stands to work with our laptop docking stations as these arms should outlast the particular series of laptops and docks.

Cons: Nadda for me.

Pros: Creates (much needed) desk space.Quality construction. It feels solid!Easily adjustable. Good cable management.Comes with both desk clamp and bolt-through.Looks. It's just cool.
Comment:
I use a small kitchen table as a desk. With my normal monitor stand I found I was scrunching myself up to be close enough to the monitor at the expense of my posture because the KB/M would hit the stand and not allow me to fully extend my arms. It caused back/shoulder issues from a previous injury to flair up again. I got this so I could pull the monitor forward, yet push my KB/M back and it's exceeded my expectations! I'm no longer getting the pain as I was without it. (Though it does nothing for my butt during gaming marathons!! :P) My KB/M are (mostly) behind the monitor when I game now. I have no complaints as to adjustability as it's easy and covers all, and more angles than I'd need. I PM'd this for less than the current sale and I am very pleased it was accepted.(Current sale price: $128.99) If you think you need this, you NEED this. I'd happily buy this again. (Any LX series. Like the 3 arm model.) I'd even pay more if need be, but would rather not. Great product that suites my needs very well!

It's been said before, but money well spent! Very solid construction and supports my 24" monitor with ease. It's so nice to be able to regain that lost desk space. Installation is very easy too. No complaints at all.Why can't other products have cable management as good as what these sport? This review was modfied by poster @ 01-03-11 01:12 PM

Cons: One rough edge, smoothed over with a file.

Pros: Solid, good looking, easy to mount, easy to use.
Comment:
Worth every penny -- much cheaper than trying to expand the office space! Nicely built (albeit with a rough edge that required some smoothing with a file), attractive appearance, easy to adjust, and amazingly stable.I've got an ASUS VW266H 25.5" LCD (1920x1200!) mounted in it. Larger than 24", but still only about 16lbs, so no problem for the LX arm.Best purchase of the year here, and it will definitely outlive/outlast the current LCD monitor.

Cons: Doesn't tilt down as much as I would like, rotate doesn't lock at exactly level, almost non-existent cable management system.

Pros: Very adjustable, easy assembly, quality worth the price.
Comment:
My chiropractor recommended I lift my monitor up on a stack of books, so I did. About a month later I saw this in the weekly sale, and after some research I purchased it without reservation. I had looked into monitor arms before, but they were either out of my price range, or not worth the asking price. This monitor arm has an excellent range of adjustment, plenty of lift, and the swing has plenty of extension. The tilt doesn't tilt down nearly as much as I would like, but it does tilt up to almost flat. The rotate feature (to rotate portrait/landscape) does have a locking screw, but it even locked it drifts about 3 degrees - enough to noticeably skew text. I left it unlocked and move it to what looks like level whenever I adjust it.I am now constantly adjusting my monitor and don't even want to think about using a monitor without an arm like this.

Cons: 180 degree swivel/joint can't be adjustedAbsolute height can't be adjusted on the flyMight require longer cables or cable extensionsA plastic component crackedPrice

Pros: Good combination of monitor position360 rotationRelative height can be adjusted
Comment:
I bought this desk mount mainly for two reasons: it can be moved around easily (as opposed to a wall mount), and i wanted to clear my desk. This does the job perfectly. However, the absolute height can't adjusted on the fly, so if you want to move the whole arm up, you'll have to take it down. Also, the 180 degree joint not adjustable and it is tightened too hard.Another thing is that a non-crucial plastic component cracked when I installed it. Whether it was my mistake or it was the state it came in, I don't know; however I don't think it should have broke so easily.Otherwise, I'm happy with it. I might buy it again in the future.

Cons: 180 degree left/right swivel is way too tight and cant be adjusted.

Pros: Infinite combination of monitor positions
Comment:
After seeing an adjustable LCD monitor arm at work, I picked it up when it was on sale. It's a really neat product. I have a bed beside my desk, and often turn my monitor so I can watch movies on my bed. The old stand I had was heavy and hard to move around. This product makes moving ur monitor around super easy. The arms have tension springs you can loosen/tighten to control the amount of force you need to move your monitor. However, the joint that allows 180 degree from left to right movement is not adjustable and it is tighten too hard. This is not a deal breaker, but instead of swiveling your monitor, now I have to move the entire arm to do left/right movement. But other then that, it is a great product. I dont use it as much as I thought I would (because you need to have a very non-cluttered desk to move the monitor around, and mine is really messy), I still recommend it.
