Performs in an old box, added some life to a genuine dinosaur. What's with the monolithic rebate? They received it 1Ǘቧ and I'm nonetheless waiting for my ษ (which was a large purpose I purchased). Straightforward installation. Took my old card out place this a single in. I did take away the old drivers prior to installing the ones that came on the disk. Seems to be functioning fine.Newegg is great! Shipped and arrived as anticipated. Playing movies from Netflix, I did notice some jumpiness to the picture so I updated the driver from EVGA's web site. It helped alot, but, nonetheless a little choppy. I have an older method operating XP, 2gs ram, AMD Athalon XP 3200, Asus A7N8X-E mobo. My other video card (PNY 5900se) died so I purchased this a single. It doesn't have a cooling fan like the PNY did so hopefully it will final until I can make me a new method. Hey, for ฤ right after rebate, how can you go wrong? |

Replaced an ATI HD 3450 that was becoming unstable, ahead of that the ATI replaced an Nvidia 6800 GS that started artifacting and before it replaced a Radeon 9800 pro.. and ahead of it, it replaced an Nvidia Ti 4200.... (which was initially in the program) so returning back to Nvidia... i went with some thing that does not demand an extra energy connector... I can't believe this motherboard and CPU and ram have been living since 2003...Current program i have put this in is an nvidia 400 chipset motherboard with AMD Athlon 2800 barton Newegg and the actual box of this GPU advertises this GPU operating at core speed 300Mhz... but mine is operating at 350Mhz for some cause. The Ram on this videocard is showing to run at 532Mhz.Technique OS iam employing this on is Ubuntu, with readings from Nvidia X server settings, probably operating this in Windows XP or any form of Windows would probly be 300Mhz... but as lengthy as my Pc is not freezing or artifacting the screen.... iam happy with it at 350Mhz... i wish there was some way I could set it back down to 300Mhz. All my older GPU's may possibly have died due to significant overclocking (and Pc being fanless with small to no air flow inside case), and also the last ATI have had that died was running at 125 degrees C running Fold@home 24ǝ.....I am retiring this Computer of folding@home and gaming Pc usage, so I hope this videocard serves me nicely for the rest of this Computer's life.I heard only very good things of EVGA and I am excited to just see my Pc steady once again without locking up due to videocard challenges. Even although it only list 8X AGP on its spec. This card actually performs on my Compaq D510 CMT which only help 1.5V 4X AGP card. It has VGA, DVI and S-Video output, and it came with a S-Video cable and a DVI-VGA adapter. I have not try, but I think it may possibly assistance dual monitor setup as it came with the DVI-VGA adapter. No Fan. No manual inside the box. If EGVA are additional clear on their solution description, they will have far more sales.It is really hard to find a 256MB card which support 1.5V 4X AGP and Windows7.This is a good purchase to upgrade my quite old Compaq D510 CMT. Downloaded drivers and installed with minimal work. 512mb is also excellent Downloaded drivers are not any very good. As soon as I installed with dled drivers it crashed. Reverted back to windows drivers and it appears to operate ok. We will seeee.... We will see......... Have had this vid card for more than 90 days now, came back to critique it. Had zero troubles installing, updating drivers, and using. I am no longer a Pc gamer, but this older machine three.2 Ghz P3, overclocked, XP) took on new life with online multimedia, shading for property films (blacks were blacks w/o losing the brightness), and DVD video. None however. โ? This utilised to be a 踰+ card. What a steal. |

This video card was shipped quickly and properly packaged. I can\'t get this video card to properly install. When I first installed it, my Windows XP machine booted with no properly installed display drivers. As soon as I installed the drivers from the incorporated CD and told the machine to restart, the machine would not boot into Windows once again, except below secure mode or when utilizing the last excellent settings (under these settings the card is not installed). There is a two-prong connector on the bottom of the card, should this be plugged into the power provide? |

512 MB of video ram. Appears slower than my ATI All In Wonder. I bought this to replace the ATI AIW. I also have a PNY GeForce 6200 / 256mb PCI Card in my system. The ATI got along fine with it.Now with each nVidia cards, I get "no signal" on the AGP connected monitors. The PCI monitors have signal, but no video. Windows won't boot totally with both in the system. With either the AGP or the PCI card the method functions just fine.I would feel that two cards with the exact same chipset would function much better than two various make of cards. This card went into an old Dell 4550. It enables us to continue to use the computer for our youngsters 7 & 4. Lego Star Wars is the only game played on this Computer appropriate now and it runs good. None Absolutely useless, this video card is the absolute bottom of the barrel, and is not worth Ŭ.99 let alone .99 plus shipping. It scores a 58 on Passmark benchmarks, while other cards that are only double the price tag score in the 1000-2000 range. I built this for a simple DVR (just to increase the already decent motherboard graphics). The video was choppy and would freeze right after about 20 seconds of use. Had to scrap project given that this card put me more than spending budget currently. I like EVGA products. I have an 2gig SLI from them. I bought this item based on my encounter with EVGA This card is NOT a 4x 8x as advertised by Newegg. The box show it as an 8x. But the title says 4x8xAGP. Newegg's specs contact this a 4X8X board. But, if you go to EVGA's internet site, it only shows it as an 8X. Newegg had their way with me on this 1. Properly, that will be the last time. So I get in touch with newegg "chat" to get an RMA. They generally told me that they had been not accountable for facts that EVGA supplied them and they would not take it back. They don't supply "sales assistance." Attempted to call EVGA. Minimum wait time on the phone, 1ǘ hour. Had to settle with emailing them. Back in its day, this card was excellent and low cost. In my eight year old compaq. I would not purchase this card now.
