Cons: - Uncomfortable after a while

Pros: - Good sound- Low cost
I purchased this headset with a 50% discount to replace my Razer Banshee SCII Wings of Liberty and I was pleased. Sound-wise I find this headset's pretty good for casual use in both games and music/videos. The microphone also does a great job and I haven't had any issues nor complaint while using Skype or Ventrilo. The only issue I have with this headset is that it's hard on the ears and it's getting uncomfortable after 1h30 or so since it presses the ear. At this price range I'd get another one for sure.

Cons: not 7.1

Pros: good sound for the pricegood mic
Its sound good for the price and the mic sound is ok . Maybe it look cheap but i own it since 1 year and its still work.

Cons: My Ears Hurt after a while, but to counter you can just play with very low volume.

Pros: You dont even know its there when you wear it.
This item is great for its price, this headset is amazing, great quality, nice design, and you can even take out the microphone very useful if your somebody like me that watches movies on the computer. I've had this for about 2 weeks now and its amazing. Guaranteed satisfaction.

Cons: Long Chord tangles and gets twisted easily

Pros: Very Good SoundDetachable MicLong ChordReasonable Price
Picked up this headset for a reasonable price. Great sound performance for the price, and it is comforable enough for my head/ears once I got used to it. No problem gaming for hours with it on. The long chord can come in handy but it does tangle and twist easily which could get annoying. I recommend it for anyone wanting a gaming headset for a bragain price.

Cons: No matter

Pros: Work fine cheap price
Sound fabulous on ventrilo.Cheap priceWork until 1 yearBuy this and evitate cheap headset for walmart, bestbuy and every big surface.

Review Date: 03/16/11
Cons: Doesn't feel super durable.

Pros: Comfy, super long cord, detachable mic.
Although they don't feel super durable, these are definitely a good buy. They have decent bass, good voice quality and are really comfy. After having them on for an hour you forget they're even there. I price matched these down to 31 bucks, so I have no complaints.

Review Date: 12/30/10
Cons: It's not very comfortable for your ears, it brings a lot of pain to me when I play for over an hour.

Pros: The sound is pretty good, also the microphone has great sound quality (for gaming at least)
While the sound is pretty good and the quality of the microphone is perfect for gaming, it's not comparable to other gaming headset that are a lot more comfortable and of better quality.

Review Date: 09/09/10
Cons: Wearing with glasses for a while hurts

Pros: Mic shut offClarity in gamesPlush earpieces feel nice
The sound quality in games is quite good, however for music it sounds slightly off. It's hard to describe  but there's something there. The microphone transmits my voice clearly and works well. The mic shut off is extremely handy for when you want to talk to someone but don't want the person on the other computer to hear you. Only thing is that wearing this headset with glasses eventually makes them start to hurt. Overall a great headset for the price.

Review Date: 05/31/10
Cons: Thin wires

Pros: SoundComfort
I gotta say, this headset is fantastic for $30. The plush ear cups are much better, than the leatherette type. it dosent make your ears sweat. The sound is great, very detailed. Everyone can hear me clearly with the mic.As for listening to music, they sound great. The wires are too thin, and feels like there gonna break.

Review Date: 04/17/10

Cons: none so far

Pros: fabric ear padslong cordgreat sound leather carrying bag
bought these for my gamer son , he loves them , nice mic compared to other headsets at this price.I listened to some music on them and was very impressed with the separation and bass quality . the comfort was nice too , very padded and sound blocking , which could be a bad thing at dinner time!

Cons: None.

Pros: Cheap, directional sound, comfortable, clear-sounding microphone.
These headphones work very well. I can hardly believe that they're only $40. The sound is crystal clear, both through the speakers and recordings from the microphone. The ear-pieces are very comfortable. Directional sound makes gaming a whole lot more enjoyable. I would definately buy another pair.

Review Date: 11/28/09
Cons: none

Pros: Comfort, sound, quality, cost
Wanted a pair of headphones that could handle games and music.Game sounds are top notch and music is good. I listen to all kinds of music, from country to metal and I like the sound. Good bass response and I like the comfort of the velvet instead of some cheap plastic or foam in the ear pieces.

Cons: Construction. Sturdy exterior. Brought it out a few times, but sturdiness is not exactly good. Can't bend very far, or it'll likely snap. The cord is also weak. It's 8ft, but 8ft of thin wire. After the first week, I got scared since the cord could be pulled several millimeters more out of the headset, so I glued it. Has performed admirably since, for desktop use anyways.Look. You WILL get comments about your appearance if you wear these outside. Large headband and small-ish earcups do not make a good combination.Comfort. With glasses, it's barely noticeable. Mine has loosened up quite a bit with use, so it really feels like nothing is there. The padding is really nice. Soft, but attracts dust.Microphone. I almost broke it, because to orient it correctly, you need to fit it in a certain direction. I missed. Horribly. But it didn't break thank god. So now I have to take off the headset to attach the microphone.

Pros: Noise-cancelling. Always a plus.Directional Sound. It's a gaming headset. You can clearly point out where the sounds come from. Excellent.Sensitive. Picks up very weak sounds in games.In-line Control. Volume adjustment on the fly.Detachable Mic. Great attachment.Comfortable. After a LONG break in.
This is a great gaming headset.I bought it a year ago. Played counterstrike. Next two weeks. Banned from 8 of my favourite counterstrike servers. That's just brilliant. It's just that great at gaming. For music, it doesn't fare as well. It picks up obvious 2.1 sounds well, like when one of my song does a siren and it travels left to right to left to right. But most of the time, the sound seems to be coming from everywhere.I'm not audio expert, so I can't comment on the specific details like muddiness and all that. As far as I'm concerned, it plays music well enough that I used it instead of my Plantronics.Isolation is decent. With the music on, which is what should be anyways, you can't hear any ambient sounds, like a computer starting up or fans running. You CAN hear your cousin screaming at you though. Without anything, it is like there is nothing there. The headphones are snug, and don't cause much discomfort anymore. Like most headphones, you'll have to rub your ears after having them on for 6+ hours, so can't penalize it for that.If it didn't come with any markings, or this guy's signiture, I would purchase again. This was more of an impulse buy, rather than research and study. There are plenty of other headphones to try. It would be worth it to save up to spend $100 or so on an amazing pair of headphones, than pay another $50 or so for these. If these were $20-30, I would buy them, but not for more. Cons: mic is a bit cheap

Pros: Really Pumps Bass, and also seperates sounds well
I love this headset...its awesome for gaming and pumping music...the only down fall is the mic is a bit cheap....it broke on me...but i got a replacement at no cost!!!!

Review Date: 10/16/08
Cons: The stupid volume control . its the weak link in an awesome product . why do headset manufactures insist on putting these stupid things on the cable . have mine zap strapped to full volume to keep proper balance

Pros: Very comfortable great sound via my X-fi extreme music sound card
this is a great sounding headset and the fabric ear cushions are great compared to the sweaty plastic type . the plug in mic is a great idea . but as I say the volume fob is useless and causes unbalance in the sound.

Review Date: 08/22/08
Cons: If you have a wide head, (like myself) it will push against the side of your head quite a bit, but it stops after a little bit of use

Pros: Beep bassComfortable for long usesLong cablesGood microphoneLeather case
This is my first headset purchase, and I am very pleased with these headphones. I did a long gaming session to see how well these did and how long they would stay comfortable. They are a bit hard to wear at first (look at weaknesses) but after a couple hours, they stretched out a bit to fit my head. Great sound, (And I'm using onboard, non HD audio for now) and the deep bass helps to pinpoint where your enemies are coming in Counter Strike: Source and other FPS games. I love the amount of cushioning, and would recommend this to anyone looking for a not so expensive, yet powerful, headset.

Cons: Your not going to win a fashion contest wearing these things :P

Pros: excellent dound qualityVery high quality removable micTons of cord lengthFor 2.1 headset it emulates 5.1 very well
My Girlfriend bought these for me awhile back and i absolutely love em! These things in my opinion have the sound quality and power of a z-5500 just placed in a 2.1 headset with excellent bass and treble. On a side note they also seperate different sound sources very well too, so if your blasting your music and someone talks on Ventrilo , you will have no issues hearing them. Been using these with a creave X-FI Xtremegamer soundcard

Review Date: 06/25/08
Cons: can get uncomfortable after time.the other comment on the bottem about the mic sucking?its not the mic, its your soundcard, i had a bad soundcard and the mic on my 5h was also quiet, do not use onboard sound. USE A SOUNDCARD thats over 80$

Pros: Optimized to FPS games
please, i do not own this headset, i am currently using the steelseries 5h v2, and those are great but more expensive.

Review Date: 06/16/08
Cons: cord gets tangled, but the doesn't it for most other headsets

Pros: decent headphones, good sound quality
I don't understand the other reviewer's comments, I don't have sound quality issues with my headset, seems just fine to me. This seems like a decent headset at a reasonable price point.

Review Date: 06/16/08
Cons: none

Pros: Comfortable, good quality sound for cost, deatachable mic
This headset is great, for those who are not huge into audio. The sounds from the games are great and the mic works perfectly, no static or anything. The sound from music and TV is well done as well, with lots of bass and a good mid range. I am very impressed with the relatively cheap headset.

Review Date: 05/22/08
Cons: Cheap plastic lookOnly stereoNot really good for music

Pros: ConfortableGreat soundGreat microphoneDon't weight too much
I bought this headset because my old one, which I almost never used, broke. I was looking for a low-priced headset which would be great and confortable. After reading few reviews, I choosed this one. I made a good choice. For music, the sound isn't t really good, but for gaming, man I love it! The sound is great, the microphone is great, i would buy again. Would have love some 5.1 sound though
