This is a standard keyboard and mouse made by Microsoft. No complaints about the physical layout or looks.However, there are driver issues with the Raspberry pi. It was documented on the Raspberry Pi wiki, but I didn't think to check for wireless keyboard and mouse compatibility. |

Pros: CheapWorks Comment:
It's cheap and a great deal for the price.However, I don't like how the buttons are all squished together. The function keys are all the same without any gaps, so, for example, I can't hit F5 without looking at the keyboard.Same goes for the arrow keys and ins/del keys. It's easy to miss the keys if you're not looking. |

Cons: Not light indicator for when the caps lock is on, Also no light to show battery life but it shows a light when the battery is low. This is to save battery life so really it's not a con.

This is the second one i've bought (this one is for my downstairs HTPC). I'm using from my coffee table (8 feet from the computer). It's rated for 15 feet range which realistically is more than enough range.The only difference between the business version is that this comes in a non-retail plain looking box for anyone wondering. |

With the crappy keyboards (and touchpads) that seem endemic with laptops these days, I have taken to using an external keyboard almost exclusively; at home and work and sometimes in between. This keyboard lends itself well to touch typists who like a keyboard reminiscent of quality laptops keyboards of yore. It is not full travel but today, it seems, people either hunt and peck or touch type. The mouse has been a favorite of mine for years.
