Cons: had to call oki tech support to get scanner working

Pros: Very fast, great printer, great features, great price
Comment:
Bought this for our home. Everything worked fine other than I couldn't get scanner to work. Then 3 weeks later printer stopped printing. I called Oki's help line (1800 oki-data). The first call was obviously re-routed when tech service didn't pick up right away, and whoever answered and tried to give technical advice obviously wasn't knowledgeable and said nothing could be done. I ended the call after a few minutes and when I called again the phone was picked up right away in technical support and the fellow was amazing. Got everything working. Love this product and very happy I upgraded from our old HP colored laser printer plus another HP colored MFP (not laser). This is faster, has a nice power save feature, etc. I have no technical computer background other than what I have had to figure out at home (2 desktops and 2 laptops). Cons: Warm-up time on start-up and wake-from-sleep

Pros: Duplex, network, color... all of these for under $300 on a sale!
Comment:
Second laser printer I've owned since my last inkjet (HP PSC 7210) died to water damage, and also the second printer that I could operate through LAN. Bought this during last year's Christmas sale for $260 (yep, a big $290 off! no PM though) plus taxes, no shipping fees as I picked up locally.(The box it comes in is heavy, I'd recommend getting a friend to move it with you.)Being able to do things over the LAN connection means I don't have to park the MFP next to my HTPC setup, and also lets me run it from another computer. Then there's the built-in duplex, which I've missed after replacing the inkjet with a Brother mono laser MFP. Thus far my only gripe about it is the warm-up time from inactivity or power-off.

Cons: - User interface is very good, but I wouldn't mind a few user-defined shortcut keys on the front panel.- Setting up network scanning was a bit of work. - Is there a way to enter contact/profile info via my PC rather than using arrow keys on the MC361?

Pros: - Excellent value for the money.- Not noisy as some have claimed.- VERY fast scanning and printing.- Nice quality printing.- Nice front panel user interface.- Useful features such as scan to USB, scan to network folder, scan to email address.- Banner printing and heavy card stock printing!- Comes with PaperPort and OCR software.- Well built, solid, heavy.
Comment:
I really did a lot of research on multifunction printers before purchasing this product. I spent hours on Google reading laser printer and MFP reviews from all different manufacturers. I wanted something that would serve my at-home office and my family for the next several years - and do so at a reasonable price. I do a lot of scanning and black and white printing. My wife does a lot of photocopying. My kids could benefit from color printing for school work. The MC361 is very impressive, especially at the $300 sale price. I can't even believe it is so inexpensive. Yes, I know, the printers are often cheap to get you hooked on a company's toner. But when I work the numbers, I'm very happy.I was worried, from several reviews, that the MC361 is too noisy. It isn't at all. It's very quiet. After printing/copying its fan hums quietly, waiting for the next print job. But if you press the "Power Save" button, it becomes silent.I was worried, from other reviews, that the color picture print quality is poor. Sure, a picture printed on quality of photo paper with Costco photo lab's expensive printer is far superior to the picture quality out of the MC361. But when given a choice, my kids preferred the MC361's color output when compared to my older HP inkjet's output. I conclude that color picture quality is good. One thing that really impresses me is the speed of the MC361. I was able to scan 300 pages of old photo albums in 600 dpi color in only 2.5 hours. AMAZING! Each of these scans were placed and positioned on the scanner glass by hand. Using my old scanner, that job would have taken days - and I've been putting it off for years because of that. And the quality of the scans is fantastic. I am very happy. You can set up profiles so that scans are sent directly to shared folders on network computers - and lots of parameters, such as resolution, file type, compression, etc, can be set in the profile. You can also bring up a profile on the MC361 and then adjust parameters easily for that particular job only. Scans can also be saved into a flash memory stick plugged into the front USB connector. Very convenient. There is also the ability to scan directly to an email address, but I have not set that up.Printing, copying, and scanning can all be one-sided or full duplex. The feeders work very well. The ability to print banners up to 4' in length on card stock was a big selling point for me. I won't use that much, but I can see it will be useful for printing family picture collages, kids' school projects, birthday banners, etc. Few printers can do this; Oki can because of the way that the paper feeds straight through the machine when using the secondary paper input and output trays. The user interface on the front panel is very nice. I have no problem using it. However, there are a couple small things I would change, such a not burying the "Continue Scan" selection as deep in the menus and having a few more dedicated keys (user defined keys would be even better). But not a big deal. One review I read warned, "Setting up network printing is no problem. But setting up network scanning takes a bit of work." That proved to be true.I don't like entering network and email settings on the little 4-arrow and OK button on the MC361. I think the MC561 has a qwerty keyboard. It would be even better if I could somehow enter contacts and other data via my PC then upload them to the MC361.Finally, the MC361 seems very well built. It's solid and heavy and reminds me of a full sized office printer in terms of quality.Highly recommended... But of course I've only been using it for a week now so I'll report any problems I discover in the future.

This is the third one I got with at least two more inquiries about it. I can not believe how much you get for $300 lol. This is simply great for a small business/office. Some say that it's noisy but I found it to be about the same as other business printer of the same level. The good thing about this is that you can press the Power Save button after you’re done whatever and it quiets down fast rather than have to wait two hours like some other models.I like that NCIX carries all the ink but you have to make sure to price match to get the best deal.

Cons: Makes some squeaking noises...

Pros: Nice printer, good features, decent quality
Comment:
This printer is nice, it prints quickly and has some awesome features, like scanning to a windows share. If you can grab this on sale, its worth it for sure! The one down fall of this one (which isn't really one...) is you cannot upgrade the firmware. So you better like it for what it offers now and hope if you have issues, its a driver problem and not a printer problem.

Pros: nice quality prints (colour and B&W)

Love my Oki...BUT it says that it has a REVERSING AUTOMATIC document feeder (RADF). I am scanning double-sided documents and I'm told by the included software, Paperport, that I must flip the stack of documents after the first side has been scanned. I can't find anything in the User Guides either that say "RADF"...everything says "ADF" only. I bought this machine for this reason. Would appreciate anyone who knows how to get the reverse automatic feeding.Five stars if I can actually get this feature working.Otherwise, a solid machine.

Cons: color grpahics printing not as good

Pros: fast, lots of office features, duplex, networkable and cheap
Comment:
I love this printer. I use it for the office and have it networked with Active Directory. It's fast, cost effective and works great in a small office. The software is simple and easy to use and drivers work seamlessly with Windows 7 64bit. I was looking for a decent color laser for a while and at $299 there is no other better deal.

This printer is amazing for the price at $299, it not only use standard print language, but it is able to print very fine Chinese characters same quality as a high end Xerox which cost 10x it's cost.I went thru so many 3x of it's cost and can not get the quality, from Samsung to Xerox to HP to Brothers.

Cons: None so far

Pros: Easy Setup Great featuresDuplexer
Comment:
This is one the lowest priced laser color multifunctions that has built in duplexer that I could find. Like all printers in this class, you pay a small fortune for replacement toner. Does copies and print jobs very well for internal use in a small business setting. I wouldn't recommend it if you're planning on handing out full-page color brochures to clients and community. You'll need something better for that. Overall, great for the price.

Cons: Terrible in almost every way.

Pros: Good customer support line.
Comment:
Very disappointed with this unit. Heavy, noisy, slow fist page, difficult setup for scanning profiles, wrinkles envelopes. Expect only a bit over 1000 pages with the toner cartridges that come with it. Then you'll pay almost twice the price of the printer to get new cartridges. Because of this, I'll be scrapping mine — what a waste! But the Oki telephone tech support is excellent; I found out by having to call them so many times.

Cons: - Loud when idling (need to hit the power save button)- USB printing only supports pdf no word documents- Starting cartridges are only rated for 1000 pages

Pros: - Good build quality- Good packaging- Good price/performance- Good print quality
Comment:
Bought this for home/light administrative work and it works like a charm compared to my old inkjet. From clicking print on the document to the paper coming out of the printer seems to take no time at all and the high print rate allows for quick and easy work of office chores. Great build quality and easy to set up. Downsides are: the printer is quiet loud when idling, you must press the power save button to shut it up and usb printing only supports pdf format.Would give 4.5 starts but it doesn't deserve 4 stars.
