Cons: Sparse feature set, (no e-sata, DVI, HDMI) and only 1 SATA/ 1 IDE cable

Pros: Cheap and can unlock AMD processors with hidden cores.ATX
Comment:
Excellent board for the money, just make sure you're okay wtih not getting all the bells and whistles of more expensive options. I knew i was adding a discrete graphics card to get DVI out and have no eSATA devices.

PROS: Price is great, I have owned many MSI Mobo's over the past 15yrs and have never had an issue with them, there fast and this one excepts CPU's upto and includes the AMD 965 140w. CONS: None, other than if one is picky, this board is a flex ATX which means it's a cross between a full ATX and Micro ATX board. OTHER THOUGHTS: If you are looking for a budget Mobo with lots of SATA and USB capabilities, this is the Board.

Cons: Mine was DOA !

Pros: AM3-DDR3-PCIE 2.0
Comment:
Overall the card was looking good, but since it was DOA, well, i was not able to ake it work at the beginning, but right after the RMA was back, it work very nicely.

Cons: No extra goodies, very basic package.

Pros: DDR3,AM3 socket,easy installInexpensive
Comment:
This board is a very good deal if you're on a budget and want a stable board with the usual features. Don't expect a lot of extras though, its basically a box, motherboard, manual, ATA cable and sata cable. Thats a bit expected though, otherwise I've had no problems and the motherboard runs well.

Cons: No crossfire, but I didn't bought it for that so Idc. Only 6 sata ports (I only needed 2)

Pros: very good, cheap upgrade to am3 and ddr3 wth 4 dimms, easy overclocking, cool leds on board(haha not really a plus xD)ddr3am33 pci and 1 pci-3 for this price, it can't be beat, I got it for 70 with the mir.
Comment:
I was able to unlock my amd phenom 2 x 4 with a simple bios update, just put ec firmware to special, and ACC (advanced clock calibration) to auto, it didn't work at first when I put cores to ALL cores like some sites claim, I tried auto and it worked straight away, also running very cold, even when stressed out, on stock cooler. If you're on a budget, you can't go wrong with this mobo, bios flashing is really easy and can be done straight from msi website.

Good board for the price. Features are limited, so be sure to check those items that this board does not support. Is narrower than most ATX designs, and that may cause some CPU fans and memory modules to collide, so choose components carefully.

Cons: Motherboard Manual, Sketchy BIOS, Packaging, no motherboard standoffs or separator rings,

Pros: DDR3, 6 SATA Ports, Floppy Drive support, 3 PCI Slots
Comment:
Dump the manual, it's useless with the exception that you need it for the complex pin header configuration.I'm not 100% sure but I had a 500GB not work with the board and it worked perfectly in RAID-0 paired with an exact same drive in my old rig. The other drive had no problems. I swapped cables and ports and it still wouldn't be seen by the bios. It also caused the bios to hang for a bit which went away after disconnecting the drive. I'm not going to blame it on the board as it is possible the drive was waiting to bite the dust and this was the final straw.Installed a Athlon II X2 250 and 2GB of Corsair DDR3 1333. The board fired right with no issues other then the above mentioned drive problem. If you need to go into the bios, make sure the bios has detected you drives first. If you hit the delete  key too soon it will take you into bios settings and your drives will not show up for you to configure. A plus is that you can disable the bios flash screen and even select   a quick post option.Something that has made me raise an eyebrow is that i get a two tone kind of squeek as a bios beep. Not to be confused with a normal bios error beep. I don't know if this is normal though.BIOS does have thorough setting for overclocking and setting ram timings. Havn't tried the overclocking functions as of yet. I did have to force the board to run the DDR3 at 1333 instead of 1066 which it defaulted to.Although this may sound like a somewhat negative review, i am happy with the board. But it took some patience figuring stuff out. It does what its supposed too and then some but you need to know what you're doing. You can just let it plug and play auto set everything if configuring isn't your thing. It didn't wow me which is why i give it three stars. update  for 770-C45 RAID: After getting another 500GB drive to replace the one that died during the transfer I installed RAID-0. The drivers from MSI work fine but take notes here: 2 Drivers. AHCI and Console. If you add the console driver Windows 7 will always give you a boot screen to start normally or revert back to another version. If you load just the AHCI driver you will hear your harddrives spin up and get written to the drives. Then you know the drivers installed. The proper way to do all of this for Windows 7: 1. BIOS had three raid options. IDE, AHCI, and RAID. Choose RAID. 2. Configure your RAID however you wish. Save and reboot. 3. GO BACK INTO BIOS.4. Go into Boot Options and make sure that you have your Windows 7 install media as the first boot source. 5. Make RAID ARRAY the SECOND boot device.6. Make RAID SINGLE DISK the THIRD boot device. The rest doesn't matter. 7. Save and reboot. 8. Let WIN7 get to install screen for harddrives. DO NOT FORMAT OR create  PARTITIONS ON THE RAID DRIVE. 9. Load the drivers you downloaded from MSI from whatever media you saved it to. Leave the checkbox checked for compatible drivers. You will get a notification about certified drivers. Click continue anyways. Remember my above note about the two drivers. THE FOLLOWING ARE IMPORTANT!10. After installing the drivers and you hear your drives start going, do nothing more then select  the RAID drive and click INSTALL.11. When the system reboots, go back into bios and change the boot order to RAID ARRAY first, then RAID SINGLE DRIVE second, and CD/DVD drive third. (I experienced for some unknown reason that Windows 7 started over again even though i didn't hit any key to boot from CD/DVD. Ignore this step if you don't have the problem but you may want to do it anyways to avoid the possibility) 11. Let Windows 7 continue. Hope that helps people out. I spent two days researching and doing trial and error to figure this all out so if I can help others avoid the frustration i went through I'm more then happy to. Perfect Board for an upgrade to AM3 and DDR3. I was looking for a mobo with no extra feature to keep cost down and move to AM3 and DDR3. Since I already own a Sound Card and a Graphic Card the 770-C45 was perfect choice

Supports up to 16g of RAM, 6 USB ports, cool colors, tons of over-clock options I don't have much knowledge when it comes to hardware, but without any problems I easily OC'd my 2.9ghz processor to 3.5ghz.

Cons: A little bit poor I/O, such as no SPD/IF out.

Pros: So far so good. Looks like quality materials are used. Good layout. Manual, CD etc looks good. Interesting "Easy OC Switch" on the board (but I didn't try it, maybe good).
Comment:
In a word, this is a budget ATX motherboard, if you want build a midrange gaming machine. For example, AMD AM3 250 processor, ATI HD 4850 video card, 2GB DDR3 memory, Antec EA500 or EA650 power supply.

Overall a very good budget board for folks wanting to get both an AM3 board as well as DDR3.No optical audio out, no firewire, only six usb. You get what you pay for but if your looking for a cheap good board, I highly recommended it! This review was modfied by poster @ 08-18-09 09:31 PM
