This program has enough changes to make it new but enough familiarity to make it easy to get use to. There are other office type packages but when the people and businesses you interact with daily use Office what choice do you really have. All in all, good job MS. |

I use OpenOffice at home, but when I saw these going for $64.99, I snapped some up.I know lots of people that work from home and have to keep compatible with the documents they receive from others. This certainly fits that requirement!So far everyone has been happy to save money while I make a nice profit. :)But I personally still use OpenOffice. |

Pros: Price... bought it on a Boxing Day special for $60... if I bought it locally I would have paid 3x that... Comment:
I had to buy it for school, so I have to use it. I'm a fan of the free Open Office software which does all MSOffice does and more and it's free!Anyway the software does what it says and NCIX had a great special for this item so it's best to buy it from here!Don't pay full price for it unless your school or office is paying for it. Otherwise use Open Office until NCIX has a sale on MSOffice again... ;-)The new menus they have are just annoying to use. But if you have to buy it like I did get it here! Cons: Takes time getting used to some aspects when upgrading from office 2003

I picked this up in my last year of university to install on my computer and my parents. Overall this product works quite well but takes some time getting used to. Some things in this new version are in different places from office 2003 but once you realize this your off to the races. |

This is an amazing deal, considering you get 3 copies of Office - it comes out to $50/copy, so you can't beat that. I love the product as well - I'm all for open source and whatnot, but OpenOffice is still quite inferior to MS Office. |

I have just bought this product and started to use it, (learn how to use it). I can not give a full review but every thing I have done on it so far has turned out great. It is just something that I have not trained how to fully appreciate yet. |

I'm so glad NCIX carries this. As I tried purchasing it direct from Microsoft but their website refuses to take any credit cards (tried my Amex, and MasterCard). I gave up on that, and low and behold found it ten bucks cheaper here! Thanks NCIX! |

Just a note for those complaining about .docx. Just "save as" word 2007 document...simple!Microsoft has come a long way since the early days. Office 2007 just works and makes my computing experience that more enjoyable.BTW: for those who miss outlook, the mail program that comes with Vista is pretty cool and if you go to Windows "Live", it also has the messaging, calendar and contacts. |

Bought this because I'm done with my office XP, wanna try the latest office 2007. Not to say about XP , compare to office 2003(which I use in school), I can see the great improvements from the previous version to the current version. The skin and look is a refreshing taste and make the previous versions in old fashion era. I think the huge different is the tab bars which is way better than the old ones. This version you just have to click on the option such as 'insert ' and it shows the list with clear big icons. No more hard time finding the insert symbols or equation. I picked this up during the boxing day sale at a great price. It takes a bit of time to get used to the new interface but, it's not too bad once you're familiar with it. It's also nice that it can be installed on up to 3 computers in the home. |

Office 2007 is a breath of fresh air and has the looks and feels of a "vista" software. I am running it on my XP computer and I am having no problems at all! I really like the interface and the look/feel of the software. |

After suffering through incremental upgrades in Office 2000, XP and 2003, we are introduced to the 2007 version which brings fresh ideas to the franchise. It's a good thing too, since free office suites such as Google Docs and OpenOffice were beginning to nip at MSO's giant heels.The much-touted Ribbon UI seems confusing at first, but you'll love how every feature is now organized and sorted in places that make sense. Features are typically in the first spot you intuit it to be.Good on Microsoft on letting this be installed on up to three PCs. However, it is irritating that MS decided to "punish" thrifty students and home users by tacking the "Non-commercial use" in the title bar.Stupidly, the box is ridiculously hard to open. Don't laugh. First you have to make two precise incisions on its top to slit open the license sticker. Only then will the box open by rotating 90 degrees. Clearly form triumphed over function here; you also have to wonder how much of the cost of Office went into this custom box. |

It takes a few hours to go from Office XP/2003 to this version, but the new functionalities and interface make most of the actions easy. The layout of my works is much better than before. The equation function also works very well in Word. Even though I did not use Powerpoint very often, I never had any problem. Office 2007 Home and Students, as far as I know, is a great productivity suite at a decent price. |
