Cons: will keep you posted

Pros: AffordableSo far, reliable.2 Pci-e connectorsQuiet

2 Pci-e plugs.40amp total on 2 12v rails.Quiet, large fan.Worked for me on my many repairs and builds.I thought I had a bad one once, but it turned out to be that I was using an older power cord and the pc would shut down if I knocked it a bit. The old plug was worn and the terminals inside it were spread too much. After I replaced the cord with the cord that came with the power supply all was fine.I purchased almost 10 of these now over a couple of years and I havent had a bad one yet.Price and performance get this a five star from me. I wouldn't expect anything more for the price. Some people want everything for nothing it seems. This review was modfied by poster @ 09-20-12 09:40 PM

Great PSU; it's about your average out there for a custom build; can't say I'd recommend it but I wouldn't say to avoid it. It gets the job done.

Cons: DO NOT EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT!!It would burn within 30 seconds even before Windows finish loading.

Pros: DO NOT EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT!!It burns itself instead of any other parts of your computer.
Comment:
DO NOT EVER BUY THIS PRODUCT, I put 3 stars because this is the ONLY way to post a comment skipping the stupid OrderID thing of the NCIX Scamming system.I purchased this power supply to replace my 7-year old 450W PSU on my old P4, because the old PSU's fan is making noise. I installed this unit and turned it on. It was surprisingly quiet and I thought I got what I want for 30 seconds. What follows is a loud pop and smokes coming out from the back of my computer. Now I am back to my old noisy PSU, and at least it won't burn my MB or anything in the case.

Cons: non-modular. Only has 2 pci-e pins

Pros: Cheap. gets the job done.
Comment:
Bought it because it was on sale. It gets the job done but not enough pci-e calbes for crossfire. Also cables are non-modular so needed to hide all teh extra cables.

Cons: Mine was letting a charge through even when switched off. Slightly concerning, but not the end of the world.

Pros: Nice netted cables, sturdy, cheap.
Comment:
Does the job it needs to do. Powers a basic PC build. Not recommended for anything fancy that's for sure.

Cons: Not reliable.

Pros: Cheap, decent amount of connectors, black.

I've experimented with these quite a bit now... but am really not too happy overall. They would be a real nice PSU for basic builds, however, I've had about 3 dead ones in the 6 or so that I've ordered. Saving $10 is not worth the risk or hassle of having a dead unit - although NCIX's RMA department is great. I'll never buy another PSU from Visiontek...

Cons: None yet

Pros: Great value, nice warranty
Comment:
I purchased this power supply to put in a new system. It has lots of connectors for all the devices that I need to hook up. I was sold on this one by the fact that it has a two year warranty. If there was no warranty on this piece of hardware I would never have considered purchasing it and would have instead gone with something a bit more expensive.

Cons: everything

Pros: not a single one
Comment:
I bought this as a back-up PSU but decided to sell it to a friend because he needed it more than I did. He installed it in a computer he was building and it burned up on Christmas Eve. Luckily it didn't fry any of the other parts in the computer. Needless to say he was ticked off and I am going to get him a replacement from a quality brand. Stay away from this junk! I would give this a 1 star review, but I don't know where my order ID is. Caveat Emptor is all I can say about this power supply. Spend a few extra dollars on a good brand and you won't be sorry like I was.

Cons: on/off switch broke within three weeks (stuck on)

Pros: affordable, fair amount of cables/connectors, quiet
Comment:
I purchased this for a 2500k build with hd, ssd, two optical burners and 16gb of ram. It seemed to handle the load fine. The only issue I encountered was the on/off switch stopped working, switch would flip back and forth but power was stuck on. I am not sure about long term durability, so I switched to an Antec 650w, but if I was putting together a lower end system, I think I would give this psu another try.

Pros: Great power supply for the price. Quiet
Comment:
We have a computer in the bedroom that had to be shut down all the time when not in use because the old, generic power supply had a noisy 80mm fan. As well, we just purchased a new motherboard that has 2 4 pin CPU power connectors and the old power supply only had one. There are lots of connectors, including SATA power (I had to use adapters before). This is more than adequate to run the system. AMD Athlon II X4 640, 16GB DDR3, one WD Caviar Black 750GB, one WD Green 1.5TB, 1TB Radeon 4650, and one optical drive. Would purchase again with no issues.

Pros: plenty of cable for everything, worked great
Comment:
This is an excellent power supply I had no problems with it, has plenty of power cables. It had 2 6 pin pci-e power cables that powered my 6870 perfectly. One of the pci-e cables are 6+2 so you could use it for a graphics card that needs an 8 pin cable also.

Cons: Probably not enough amperage on the 12V rails for larger dual GPU graphics cards.

Pros: Adequate power supply for low-mid gaming computer.4 stars if used for what it's meant for.
