Cons: gets real hot when pushed. seems to "chug" a bit on the "bigger" games. fan speeds are either idle or high, all-or-nothing.
Pros: Nice small size, great for mid size cases. The fan is quiet compared to other video cards I've had. great budget price for its performance. |

Cons: -this is NOT the reference model, even though NCIX has a picture of the ref model up, which I think is quite misleading (there is also a review further down where someone claims that it has a dual bios etc, it does not have any of that so dont attempt to unlock it!)-feels cheap-runs hot
Pros: -2GB of memory-still a 6950 which is a pretty good high end card Comment:
I am only giving it two stars based on the description for it: "it works but would NOT purchase again" - I would def go with a different version of the 6950, this one doesn't even come with dual fans, it only comes with one fan in the middle to cool the entire card. It idles at 50 C, at full load it's at 80 C. I was thinking of crossfiring down the road, but this is just ridiculous, it's way too hot. |
Al tho the price and size is great for the average PC gamer I don't suggest this card for the "hard core" one. if you do plan on getting this card and running the more demanding games with it I suggest getting some 3rd party software that can give you more control over the fan speed, or if you know what you are doing, flashing the bios and setting the speeds manually.
