Cons: Mouse wheel

Pros: Comfortable and great response rate
Comment:
The response rate is great. I feel like I play better because of the higher response rate (I was using a very cheap mouse before the g400).The mouse wheel is really crappy. The wheel clicks and triggers don't match up sometimes.Examples: 1)Mouse wheel up click and nothing happens until you are almost on the next wheel up click. So the second click actually triggers 2 scrolls right away when the first click did nothing.2) Scroll up click a bunch of times, take your hand off the mouse and it will scroll down once. It's actually really annoying when scrolling through webpages.I don't use the mouse wheel in game so I can't comment on in game performance.

Cons: -Left mouse button pings (may just be mine)

Pros: -Perfect weight-Optical sensor-Perfect shape (for palm grip, possibly other grips)
Comment:
I bought this elsewhere as NCIX does not have these yet, but I used to use a G500 and I love the G400 much more as it doesn't have those useless features (in my opinion), like weight adjustment.

Cons: None as of now

Pros: Amazing palm grip style shapeComfortable texturesExtremely customizable using the Logitech Gaming SoftwareSolid FeelGood value
Comment:
For previous MX518 users, palm grip people, gamers, and average users, this mouse should be on your list of considerations. I wrote a decent amount for this review so be sure to hit the Read More button ;)My previous mouse was the predecessor to this one, the good old MX518. Unfortunately the MX518 was prone to fail after a few years of good usage, however Logitech's support is absolutely amazing when it comes to hardware issues, they will often send you a brand new device. Anyways, this mouse is straight up one of the best there is for anyone looking for a comfortable palm grip mouse. It's very solid and easy to grasp, but best of all leaves your hand relaxed because of the awesome shape. There are two different textures on this mouse. There is a soft rubber type of plastic on the left and right sides of the mouse where the thumb, pinky finger, and the ring finger touch. It is also found in between the index and middle finger where the scroll wheel and 3 of the customizable buttons are located. The other is sort of a grainy brushed plastic which actually feels almost like a thin piece of brushed aluminum, except softer to the touch. This is where the palm, index finger, and middle finger rest. Both materials are very comfortable to touch and seem to be quite sweat resistant. Looking at performance, the mouse handles smoothly, responds instantly, and has a nice balanced weight that I think most user would enjoy. From my experience it seems that the traditional Logitech mouse/keyboard software SetPoint is not compatible with this mouse. Instead, the mouse uses a program called Logitech Gaming Software, which allows you to change some basic mouse settings that you would expect, as well as specific DPI increments when switching sensitivity with the physical buttons, and a surprisingly massive selection of functions that all 8 buttons on the mouse (including left, right, and middle click) can be changed to. I mean it's huge, you should look it up. All your setting can be nicely linked with profiles that can be switched using the software or can be automatically switched to when opening a program that is linked with a profile. The software also comes with a generous list of games, each with a pre-made profile that is optimized for that specific game. It is very cool, I must say.I am beyond satisfied.

Cons: -cable doesn't seem to be as flexible as other mice

Pros: -Comfortable-Good button location (even with fairly large hand)-Scroll wheel very quiet and smooth
Comment:
Great gaming mouse. Replaced my aging MX518 because the scroll wheel was starting to wear. The G400 is basically the same as the MX518 except for the colour pattern (even the box says "The new MX518")

Cons: -The button above the mouse wheel is located fairly poorly (atleast if you have small hands)-No adjustable weights like it's cousin the G500

Pros: -Comfortable-Centered Sensor-Well placed side buttons-Nice big feet-Great rubbery material that doesn't leave dead skin/swear residue with prolonged use (like my old Logitech MX510)
Comment:
After 6 long years of great service, it was time to retire my trusty Logitech MX510 which still works perfectly (the predecessor of the infamous MX518) and get a new mouse. I've been using the G400 for over a month now and must say it is every bit as good as my old mouse and more. If you're thinking about getting this mouse, be aware, it is lighter than it's predecessors (MX510 & MX518). Also be aware that the newer batches of G400's (the one you will most likely receive) have angle snapping disabled, which for me is preferable, but it may not be for you.

Great mouse for the price, seems to replace the G5 more than the MX518 but all in all a great product.

Cons: - No "On-the-fly" DPI adjustment- Cheap cord- Cheap feeling- Loud clicks

Pros: - Price- Ergonomics- Response- Excellent Grip- High DPI- 8 Buttons
Comment:
I've used the MX518 and then switched to the Razer Deathadder. I switched back to the G400 because the ergonomics are so much better. It's by far the most comfortable mouse that I have used. Functionally, it meets the demands for most gamers. Compared to the Deathadder, it feels about the same in terms of response. The rubber grip is amazing and will work well for people with sweaty hands. The G400 has great features and sports very similar specs to the Deathadder. When I switched to the Deathadder, I did miss having an 8 button mouse. Being able to switch DPI during a game without flipping the mouse over is great. Another bonus is the ability to switch DPI up and down. The thing I missed the most from the Deathadder is the "On-the-fly" mouse sensitivity tuning. This was extremely useful in shooters. However, the G400 "Coarse Adjustment" DPI tuning is sufficient giving 5 levels of tuning. As well, I do miss the solid feeling of the Deathadder. The G400 feels a bit cheap - probably due to its lower weight.Given these two cons, I'm still sticking with the G400 because of its ergonomics. It's just so comfortable that it's worth sticking with.

Cons: could of used a longer cableNo side scrolling

Pros: Large mouse in both length/width for palm grip.easy to access side buttons and dpi buttonsGlides easy on cloth padergonomic.
Comment:
As someone who had the Mx518 for a number of years(maybe 5 years now) my mouse cord had started to lose connection to the PC from years of use and bending. When it came time to get a new mouse I really couldn't bring myself to try another mouse for the simple reason that this mouse has a great hand feel. It fits perfectly in to the palm of my hand--having big hands-- so cupping it and movement feels natural and fluid. Another things the DPI of the mouse (which can be adjusted via buttons or software) and the feet glide perfectly on my cloth mouse pad however i also used this on a wood surface and can say that both surfaces work perfectly. The only downside is the length of the USB cable a extra 2 feet to the already 6 feet would of been perfect for computer that sit on the left sides of the desk. Other then that a perfect mouse

Cons: - no side scrolling- no forward button- Right handed only- no adjustable weights like some gaming mice

Pros: - Great feel in your hand- easy to click buttons- back button is well positioned- huge DPI (although most people won't even need it)
Comment:
Logitech has been with me for around 10 years with mice and keyboards and they still make tried, tested and true products. the latest G400 mouse is actually the exact same shape and size as the mouse I used to have 10 years ago. the only difference is the internal workings. This one now boasts laser tech with better tracking and 3600DPI.I've tried some corded Razor mice and Microsoft mice but none feel so natural like Logitech's design. There are some cons to this if you're looking for certain features but for me, its all about ergonomics and this mouse takes it.

Cons: No weights (lighter than g5 w/o weights)I personally dont like the dpi locations

Pros: Extremely Responsive (using an X-Trac Ripper XL)Slightly more ergonomic than G5 for my hands (my hands are slightly bigger than normal)Natural button layout (easy to adapt to)Glides on pad and doesnt skip
Comment:
Comparison to G5Scroll wheel is quite different as well. Its less tactile and doesnt have the forward backward feature.Overall I'd say this is a better mouse just wish the '+' dpi button wasnt located where it is.

Cons: Hard to say, nothing really yet

Pros: Premier mouse and MX518 successorSweet spot for size, able to rest hand when needed but has the capability for mobility without rear palm interferenceWorked flawlessly on different coloured padsWorks well with Steelseries Qck SC2 padScroll wheel while criticized on some performance mouse forums is better than previous versions in my opinionUnable to cause skipping yet, would trust in one of the most aggressive mousing FPS games to date: TFC(rocket jumps, bunny hopping, aerial concs and movements)
Comment:
I would consider this mouse costly. Would have preferred a price more like $34.99. Logitech performance mice have been $50+ for years now but once competitors like Cooler Master with the Xornet and Spawn get kinks worked out on skipping issues with certain surfaces they're going to begin to impede on the market with much better pricing.

Love logitech always have, great products, great support. They replaced some of my peripherals over the years without many questions asked, as long as the product was registered and not misused, even my old z2300 speakers. I have the G500 as well, both are exceptional products with nice options.
