Downloaded the newest drivers from Logitech for Win7 64 bit. Installed, no challenges. Functions wonderful, both video and sound, no challenges at all. None Logitechs Vid Phone is a small clunky on DSL picture and sound problems. On cable its great. Skype worked fantastic on DSL |

Functions out of the box on Ubuntu Linux 10.04 64-bit for most applications. Some programs will take some tweaking with settings. Image quality is fantastic and even even though some softwares report framerates as 15fps, at 800x600 or beneath it looks to be clearly recording at 30fps. Above that appears like it drops to 15fps for me. I can't confirm this with out a Windows set up, but reading some of the other reviews it seems that the the image excellent is essentially better in Windows and I guess there are software capabilities (moving the angle of the lens) that aren't accessible beneath Linux. I've only used a handful of webcams, but this is a great webcam under Linux. As long as I'm recording at 800x600 the overall performance is better than I would've expected. I'm disappointed to hear it may possibly be superior in Windows although, and although I applaud Logitech for creating this so really compatible with Linux I can only hope they continue escalating their Linux assistance even additional. That there is an OS-based performance distinction is unacceptable to sophisticated customers (the type who would take into account acquiring 4 more of the identical cam if it overall performance had been equal). |

Works wonderfully. Buddies and household members around the globe compliment on it's clarity compared to my old webcam. None with the Webcam itself. Bought the camera when it was on sale/had an providing of ฟ off with mail in rebate. Didn't get mail in rebate with package and can't appear to come across it on Newegg to print it off now. The audio and video from this webcam are excellent! The lighting is significantly better than my iMac was. Apparently the computer will even use the microphone independently of the camera such as voice chat in my games. Red ring lights up around the logitech name when camera is on which is cool.Operates excellent with the gmail video chat and steam audio chat. I haven't had any troubles. I would absolutely buy once again. Fantastic webcam for quite affordable after the MIR. |

Rightlight functions good in low light.Excellent microphone.Sits steady on display. none I bought this from a nearby electronics retailer. The Rightlight2 seriously does work, my pc desk is in a corner of the space and the lighting is in the center of the space, so lighting has been a challenge for me with most internet cams I've owned, but not with this a single. There is a red ring that lights up about the "Logitech" symbol indicating the camera is on. Lots of exciting effects to play with also. I would advocate this web cam to everyone. |

Want that webcams would catch up to digital camera technologies. the image excellent isn't even close to becoming the very same. My mother in law has a mac mini that is a couple of years old and she wanted to be capable to skype with her household. This camera worked with Mac OS X ten.5.x out of the box. Skype and other video call software program recognized the camera just fine. The only issue I had to do was to go into the settings and specify that I wanted to use the usb camera and microphone in skype. This is a good good quality net cam, particularly compared to the ancient Logitech cam that I have owned for years.Great picture excellent and performance.I figured it was worth it to devote a bit a lot more for a much better camera and I'm glad that I did. I got this back when it was initially released, which at the time it was the only webcam obtainable that could capture in 720p or greater. Back then, this was your only alternative for such. Excellent image clarity and excellent even in low lighting conditions. Carl Zeiss lens in no way fail to impress. Mail in Rebate has been submitted, however have not recieved any confirmation from the company. Had I known the business would not honor the rebate I would not have wasted my time and stamps to send in the rebate form. Good Product on the other hand I will not be acquiring any other things from this firm due to lack of honesty. |
