I got this on a recommendation from a friend. It worked great the first time I plugged it in. But the 2nd time I tried using it (with Skype) the person on the other end couldn't hear me. Some fiddling with settings unplugging/plugging back in got it working. Then a few hours later it did the same thing. I ended up switching back to the $15 headset I used before. However, I'm not 100% sure that the above problem isn't with my computer. My _real_ complaint about these is how much they hurt my ears. I am often on Skype for several hours per day. I was tired of my $15 headset making my ear hurt, so I tried this "upgrade." They are MUCH worse. I could use my old $15 headset for an hour or two without too much discomfort. This headset only takes 20-30 minutes before my ears hurt. After a 1-2 hour phone call it is getting towards real pain.Maybe my head is just a funny shape, but I wouldn't recommend these to anybody.NOTE: I didn't buy these from NCIX, so it won't let me rate it as 2 stars.

Pros: Good sound, comfortable, USB connectivity, long cord

I bought these for my wife a while ago, and she loves them. They are very comfortable, even though they are kind of large. The sound is good, and they are very decent all-around headphones, can be used for everything from gaming to music listening, as long as you're not excessively picky. The microphone is very good too. Overall, a good product.

Works well both gaming and for radio or music. The ear pieces could be a little more comfortable and adaptable, but on the whole very satisfied. Also works well for voice or chat

I've purchased many things and I've NEVER been disappointed! This headset is perfect for online chatting or just listening to music. I like the one-touch mute for the microphone, and the sound is crystal clear.

I am very pleased with this headset. I have been using it to play LOTRO for about a week and a half. The only (minor) complaint I have is that it doesn't quite extend as far as I'd like and the earpices rest perhaps a half inch higher than I'd like, but are still fairly comfortable (also I have a large head, most people should not have this issue)

For the money that I had spent on this headset (opposed to the countless others that are much more expensive) I was very surprised at the quality of this product. The sound is great, the durability is good, its easy to install and simple to use, and the price doesn't break the bank. For how much it is I would certainly recommend this headset as being a great value for the price. The one negative criticism I have however is that the actual headphone part that rests on your ear is quite small, but this usually is not a problem unless you have had them on for over a few hours. big win, Logitech.

Bought two for my sons. Very easy installation. Good sound, good microphone. Doesn't sound as good as my stereo Sennheiser but it's easily superior to other headphones sets costing the same. Very satisfied

Cons: -does not use your sound card-cord does tend to get in the way sometimes since there is no clip i.e. falling off lap

Pros: -3 preset settings easily selected on ear; chat, game, music-volume rocker on same ear-push to mute mic button on same ear (red light indicator on mic when muted)-comfy bonded leather ear pads and on top-flexable boom-clear sound, great depth-just plug in and use-mic quality is clear-long cord
Comment:
Great plug and play headset for chatting and/or gaming and listening to music privately. Also, because the sound quality is great IMO, I would recommdend this to laptop owners who have terrible integrated soundI can play for hours without getting a headache. At first it was smushing my head, but it's fine now as it stretched out.I still prefer my stereo setup for overall music listening and gaming, but the quality on this headset is fantastic if you want to chat with friends at the sametime too.

I purchase it to chat over skype with my son that just moved out of state. The clarity is amazing, no echo, and the price was very reasonable compared to other eletronic outlets (even Overstock.com)

I've owned these for about a year now. I originally wanted them for the microphone on them for gaming (which, works great by the way and I literally have a fan right beside me on full blast and no one seems to notice), but what surprised me was the sound quality. I didn't expect the sound to be as good as it is. Sometimes when I'm playing multiple games and listening to music I'll get some fuzz, but I think that's just because I'm lacking a soundcard.

These were purchased to be used with my dragon speak software on my pc, never got a chance to try that out yet. I had to replace the ones hooked up to my mac, use them for my masters program. The mic response is great while on skype, imovie voice overs, and especially with garage band, no humming like my other brand. A great bargain, especially if you price them at office supply chains. I am still thinking of getting the wireless model next, but until that time I will appreciate these.

This is a good headset unfortantly I bought it after the savings were gone. This is a good headset and a mic, I have had 2 previous logitech headsets that broke in under a year so I took a risk with this one and love it. I only had sore ears once and I was at a 3 day LAN party. I like having the volume control and mic on the head phone to I justwish that the vloume was a rotate and not a click, The red light for the mute is nice to, I just also with I could use the mic on either ear as I like to have it on my right. The media switch I haven't really seen make a difference

This headset is comfortable (as over-the-top headsets go), sounds good on both speech and music, and seems very intelligible over Skype. I do find the ''S'' sounds a bit hissy if the microphone is too close, but it goes away if the microphone is a reasonable distance away. For the price, it is hard to beat.

I bought this headset in may 2009, and i did have a problem (My fault i think), but logitec didnt ask me for anything but an explaination and they are sending me a new one free of charge.I dont even have to cross ship. I will keep my old one for a back-up but for now this is the best customer service i have ever gotten. I strongly reccomend Logitec@ they will do right by their customers. I now have everything hooked up to my comp made by them.

The biggest problem for me is that if you go to pick something up off of the ground the headphones fall off my head. Allso the swithc to change the sound for music/ gaming/ phonecalls does not sound any differnet from each other. Finaly the sound does not get loud enough for me. other than that they have great sound quality to where you could play a game such as counterstrike with your eyes closed because of the sound clairity. that and where all the controlls are located it does not require you to search for a stupid switch on the chord, which is a beafy chord btw

I've heard some people not like Logitech headsets, but I could never figure out why. This baby took abuse for over a year, when it finally bit the bucket. This is about how long my headsets last. This thing was ran over, stepped on, sat on and even had a computer chair on it at one point. Oddly enough the abuse isn't what killed it. It suddenly developed a short while I was talking. At first I thought the speaker was loose, but I was wrong. The mute light stopped working about 6 months after buying it as well.

Excellent sound quality and mic output quality. Could use a little more freedom on headset adjustment (a little more slack on the head comfort adjustment).
