Bought this as a back-up to an older same sized laptop. No problems except for the keyboard which might be better laid out: especially for someone with limited vision - like myself. Where possible, I use a regular wireless keyboard which obviates this problem. Found this device to be fast, efficient and reliable. A very good value for money that out performs any other laptops I've seen and used. I certainly like the 3 year warranty which is far better than most and one reason I bought same. Putting it through its paces, has presented me with no problems whatsoever. Can unequivocably recommend it to anyone who is looking for a reliable laptop to cover most situations. |

You can't touch a multimedia laptop with the features this laptop has for $800 anywhere else (even at the -cough- speciality gaming laptop sites). In 32bit Win7 speed test the video card is the fastest thing on the laptop (6.5), hard drive is the slowest (5.5). The Core 2 Centrino processor is more than beefy enough to handle anything I've thrown at it. The 17 inch screen is fast and crisp. This baby has no problem with HD video and has an HDMI port. Cons for some: This machine is not a battery champ nor should you expect it to be. If you want battery performance, look for soemthing less powerful like a beefy netbook. |

Pros: Value, nothing else comes close. I got this laptop for 800$ a comparable brand name (dell, HP) would cost hundreds more. Cons: No option to get Windows 7 64 bit, which means you will only be running 3 GB of RAM. Don't pass up on this laptop, you just can't beat it. |

Got this one last week , runs wow smoothly with no lag and on full settings. The keyboard with its cramped and odd layout will get some getting used to , but that's my only gripe so far. |

This machine had all the features I was looking for much less than a comparible machine. I like the fact that it has a discrete video card. I would consider purchasing a second one for my son when his Viao dies. Good job MSI. |

This would be an early review for me as I had just received this product yesterday. So far I have found this product to be a solid piece of technology. The speakers are good, however the subwoofer isn't functional on this laptop perhaps a loose wire?. This is not a big deal to me and it doesn't warrant a return since I tend to use earphones anyways. The controls are nice fewer mechanical buttons & switches. Performance is great, it isn't the best performance but it is definitely better than any laptop I've owned - this would make 6 since 1995. The one disappointment was the lack of documentation and the installed copy of its older version of the Win7 OS. |

I bought it's earlier model with the ATI video card and was not too impressed. Once I saw there was a model with an nVidia card, I took a chance and bought it. I can run all of my games maxed out on graphics settings and it runs great! I bought another for my wife shortly after. Would recommend this product to any mobile gamer! |

Fast Shipping!! I ordered on one day (afternoon I might add) and I had it the very next day! I have literally told everyone about this computer as I LOVE it! It has everything that I wanted and more. One feature that I just had to have was the full size numeric keypad and this computer has it. Don't know what I did before! |

This laptop from MSI is exactly what I needed. I can do my programming assignments wherever on campus and when I am finished start some gaming. I play games like Battlefield 2 and Half Life 2 on full detail. I currently am playing the Battlefield Bad Company 2 Beta on it and works great. The one I have now is actually an exchanged one because my first one had a glitchy screen, but I exchanged for another one and it works fine. I recommend a 64 bit OS so your 4 gb's of RAM will be used to their full potential. |

This thing is amazing. I am not much of a gamer, but I am an engineering student. It runs all the drafting programs and such i use for school with no problem. Also, I put GTA IV on it, it runs great when its plugged in, but almost not at all on battery. Battery is crap, a 9-cell would be nice. Anyway, this thing looks awesome, and the sound, wow. The sound on this laptop is unbelievable, the poor computer gets vibrated to death by that little sub woofer. The keyboard is a little annoying, though, because it is so congested. You will not be disappointed by this computer, if you are looking, stop. This is what you want. When you buy a Dell or a Gateway or something along those lines you pay for that name. But with MSI you pay for the performance you are getting. |

I purchased this computer when it was on sale for 699 to take the place of an asus g51vx-rx05. After receiving my purchase from tigerdirect, i can honestly say that i will never purchase another asus computer because this computer is better in every way and it was 500 cheaper. Before these two computers i had a dell inspiron 1300 i got as a graduation present in 2006. Now considering the time gap from then and now this one should obviously put that computer to shame. My final point is that if your thinking about buying this computer you are taking to long to do so. This thing has something for everyone no matter what you're into |

I just bought this a day ago and I love it. The only thing holding it back is the 32-bit os it should have 64-bit. That aside to the good stuff now this laptop has performed above and beyond what I was expecting. The Winders 7 ratings are CPU: 5.5 RAM:5.7 Graphics, and Gaming Graphics: 6.5, Hard Disk: 5.5 I have already opened it up and plan to change the wireless card because it only uses 2 of the 3 antennas, also there is an extra pci-express slot that has a cable going to the right side for a tv antenna that I also plan to add the tv tuner. I might also change the Hard Drive to a 7200 rpm drive for a little more performance, and I plan to install 64-bit Windows on that drive and the cd key on the bottom will work for 64 or 32 bit so there is no need to buy another copy just need to get the disc somewhere. The turbo button is awesome it overclocks the cpu from 2ghz to 2.31ghz. This is a great laptop to use stock or to modify. The screen and HDMI are also great features. |

32bit vista w service pack 2 supports all 4gb memory.... just thought i'd let people know that. When i had service pack 1 vista said i had 3.5gb memory, now with service pack 2 its 4 gb. |

i bought the MSI for a replacement to my 17 inch gateway and i couldn't be happier the sound is amazing picture quality is excellent.i don't really play games but at that price you can't beat it.i paid 900 dollars for that gateway with half the specs of the msi so i recommend it highly. |
Excellent laptop. Very well constructed. I did not like that they only gave you Win 7 32bit and no install disks.
