A-DATA 16GB Turbo SDHC Class 6 Memory Card
Comment:
The quantity of memory, the speed, the price, newegg shipping. None so far. I replaced some other (cheaper) 16GB memory in my Nikon D90 SLR and I've observed two critical improvements. 1st, when I used to shoot numerous shots in a row, following three or four, I had to wait for the pictures to be written to memory. With this new A-Data SDHC Turbo thing, I have not managed push data to the memory card as rapidly as it can write. I've observed a 12 megapixel fine jpg write in about .25 second. RAW format took just over .5 second. That's a stark improvement more than the ɭ second for JPG and almost two seconds for RAW performance of the normal "non turbo" SD Cards, especially if you ever need to have to burst various shots. The second imrprovement was even though recording 720p videos: not only is the 16GB capacity welcome, the quickly write overall performance of the card signifies no hiccups or garbles in the videos. I initially purchased two or these and am so happy that I might get a lot more.

High capasity, economcal value. Flimsy lock switch which would get pushed into the lock position when inserting into my iPAQ 111. The switch ultimately fell off whilst in lock mode. Card is now "bricked" simply because I can't add or get rid of files from it. I can nevertheless read the files on the card however. I have a RMA request in with ADATA. They mentioned this may well not be covered under warranty and stated this type of problem is handled on a case by case basis. They requested pictures of the front and back of the card along with my recepit(luckly newegg nonetheless has it for me to download)I sent these this morning so it's a wait and see of what will occur.I've been thinking about purchasing a newer 32GB card so I have more storeage. Depending on how ADATA handles this will figure out if I purchase ADATA some other brand. I would hate to be out ๑+ must the swtich on the new card fall out.General I've been pleased with this card. I utilized it to retailer DIVX videos which I would watch on my iPAQ 111 and by no means had any problems besides the flimsy lock switch.

Is great if it functions. The price tag for a 16GB was unbelievable. I purchased this card to record HD video. What I didn't know was that this card is non-permanent storage. It can disappear at any time. This is a wonderful feature that the card dies with no indicators so you don't have time to save your work. You pay the cost for a to month+ usage. Don't expect to get a lot more out of it. Because it died past 30 days NewEgg was not responsible. Adata has a life time warrantty. This is if you can get them to respond. Only record video or photos that you will in no way require as it will die speedily. The Adata consumer service is practically non existent. Immediately after a month of calling and emailing, no response. In short, DO NOT Get this card!!! Unless you want to throw away income. Was really rapid and worked nicely under light use in a Kodak ZI8 video camera proper up till... 3 months after acquire, this card is no longer recognized by my camera. ADATA's support web site and warranty say lifetime, but currently attempting to register the item and it won't accept my serial number. Trying to submit a technical support case through their on the web support tools and obtaining no confirmation that it's been submitted. The card had hardly been applied, perhaps 4 hours worth of video recorded in total. Thankfully I had copied everything off shortly prior to it died. Genuinely disappointed that a lifetime warranty item died this fast and looks like it'll spend far more time trying to get this resolved with ADATA than the card is worth. Will see if I can uncover a far more consumer friendly manufacturer for my next invest in. Works very good, I take a lot of video for my company and I necessary the extra space. Works fantastic in my camera. None For some reason this card shows about 20 minutes less recording time than my Sandisk 16GB Class 6 card when they are both empty. Kinda weird but not actually a con.

Cheap, Good Hummingbird Slow, Unreliable, Critical Errors I bought this Adata Card thinking it would be more rapidly and nicer to store a lot of high top quality pics and HD videos on. I have a couple of Kingston 2 GB Class four cards that seem to write as rapid or faster than this card did. Here's the genuine story though: I bought this card right after reading numerous mixed reviews about its reliability. Soon after one weekend of use, it read "Memory Card Error - Card Locked" and I lost all of my pictures. It was no major deal as I was using a new camera and pretty significantly just experimenting with it anyway. I e-mailed Adata, sent in my faulty card, and soon after about 3 or four weeks, they sent me a new 1. I did not ask for data recovery, mainly because that would have taken forever. The truly disappointing factor is that the new card they sent me had similar errors following 3 weeks. I didn't think I'd have the similar difficulty twice in a row. Now it is unusable and NewEgg won't give me a refund given that I'm 11 days beyond the 30 day return period. My Tips: DON'T Get ADATA!!! Affordable. If you need a disposable SD card - pick this one :-) If you need to have to store additional than 2gb or use it much more than two weeks - appear elsewhere. I recorded a couple of brief test videos. Then I recorded a 1.5 hour sermon. It worked and I got it off the card. Good. But when I went to record a baptism later, it failed - the card would not be recognized by Canon FS200, nor three card readers, nor a notebook. In reality, even when it worked, only the notebook card reader could read it. So it seems these cards work at very first, but fail after a little use. I baby electronics - so it wasn't dirt or rough treatment. I will not acquire A-data once more any time soon. This is a real review. Cheapish when I bought it (two of them) about 8 months ago. Fails randomly leaving you fairly considerably out-of-luck. I purchased two of these about 8 months ago, and have used them lightly (one for photos, the other for ). Each have now failed so seriously they cannot even be recognized by the OS. On X-mas morning as the kiddies were opening presents, I started taking pictures with this card in my Rebel XS, and soon after a couple of shots the camera balked about a card error. The card was completely dead in the water. When using a USB-based SD card reader, the card appears completely dead--the OS says there's no media in the card reader slot. The error is so severe, whatever it is, my camera can't even recognize it to do a low-level format. Luckily, I had two. So I've been sitting on the defective card utilizing its twin thinking that I really should get the bad one replaced, and bam, exact same thing takes place to the second card this morning. I had employed this second card for much less than 500 fotos, and now it is toast with the same symptoms as above. Just can't trust this card unless you don't care about your photos. After this double failure, I decided to look at all the 1-egg reviews here just now, and nearly all are complaining about this identical issue--the card fails randomly, but spectacularly, but works totally fine up to the incident. There are 117 1-egg critiques out of 537 total even although this thing has four-eggs overall. So either you are lucky, and it works great, or you are lucky, it works fantastic initially, and then it spectacularly fails taking important fotos with it. Thankfully, I only lost a handful of non-critical fotos with this second card, but I can't replace the X-mas fotos I lost from the very first failure. I will get these cards replaced mainly because of their lifetime warranty, but I won't trust them once again. And I recommend you don't either! Manufacturer Response:Dear Customer, we are sorry that you have had difficulties with our item. We advocate running low level formatting tool from the SD association (link below), this will repair the card to factory condition. I utilized this in my Canon T1i DSLR camera. It worked terrific for a whilst and would record 1080p video with out a challenge. A couple of months ago it started giving me errors on the camera. Following several formats on the camera and on a PC didn't solve the problem, I tried to get a replacement from ADATA (it supposedly has a lifetime warranty) Their web site is in engrish and the forms just plain don't work. I tried two unique browsers for an hour and in no way got even an email from anybody. What good is a memory card if it corrupts your information? Devote a small much more and get one that WORKS from a firm with integrity. I utilised this card with my Pentax K20D DSLR. Quite quick, no memory write lag in between shots.Fast shipping. I used the card for two weeks with no issues. Then I took a 4 day photography excursion exactly where I got about 900 shots of majestic mountains, laughing babies, superior buddies, and pro musicians. On the final day of the trip this ADATA card died. All my photos are gone, and no recovery software has worked. What great is a warranty on the card? The critical thing is the 900 pictures I can by no means get back. Prevent affordable media if you're putting anything valuable on it. None Card crashed in Canon 2ti on second day of use and could not be recognized by any camera or pc notebook or desktop. The plastic over the metal connections also appears low-cost and not secure compared to other cards I have (Sandisk, PNY) Soon after taking two days of pics on Canon 2ti at as soon as in a lifetime family members event. Camera refused to recognize card as did every other device. Now faced with decision on pricey recovery service, (assuming ADATA will not attempt to recover pics for me although I will attempt) or just sending back for refund. CAN'T Recommend A Item WITH THIS POOR OF PERFORMANCE AND Complete LACK OF LONGEVITY. Due to the fact this card has not been out that long, I would feel 1% failure within the initially year seems unacceptable. How in the globe did this card win an award on NewEgg?

low cost, acceptable transfer rates. don't know what some are complaining about...perhaps they are transferring working with usb adapter which would be less than stellar speeds. I purchased two of these so far so great. none yet - only gave 4Ǜ stars since I can't rank durability at this point, but that shouldn't be an issue mainly because I think these are lifetime guaranteed. use common sense and generally back up your information. i never trust having essential data on only one media.

information transfer to/from is dependable - I've by no means had trouble with the chip electrically, and it appears rapidly sufficient (played DIVX from it) original casing style may possibly have had flaws Bought 1 of these (label graphic was a little different, but specs the exact same) from Newegg in December 2008. Had no difficulties at all even though inserted semi-permanently into a USB thumb drive. Beginning in 2010, I moved the chip back and forth between several devices, and in a few months time the tiny plastic dividers in between the card edge fingers began to break off, but it didn't appear to trigger troubles. Eventually they all came off, as properly as the corner near the write-safeguard slider, and then the slider fell out and was lost. At this point, the only reader that worked with the SDHC chip was the built-in 1 in my laptop, and without having the slider I couldn't add new files. I contacted ADATA's support, who wanted photos, then gave me an RMA quantity. Took much less than two weeks from when I mailed the original, but they shipped a replacement. I'm pleased they honored the lifetime warranty, and will purchase from ADATA (and Newegg) in the future.
