I got this 2x2GB set to double my method memory from 4GB to 8GB. My other 2x2GB are similar A-Information sticks, HY63I1B16KR (they're pink!), which I purchased in Nov 2009 for ๨. I've only had my new set for a couple days, but they appear to play just fine with the 2x older A-Information sticks. All are running at stock timings of 9-9-9-24.Installing the new 4GB was as effortless as it gets. Plug-n-play on my MSI P55M-GD45 board. Win7 immediately recognized all 8GB on start off-up, and anything seems stable.Oh, and this could be pure coincidence, but the full method MalwareBytes scan that I ran final night was 20% quicker than before i added this new RAM. It went from 31 mins down to 25 mins! Didn't believe RAM would effect that, but 6 mins seems like too a lot of an improvement to be coincidental. The only con for me, aside from the consumer-proof ultra-hard plastic packaging that A-Data ships their RAMs in, is that NewEgg didn't have any far more of the stunning pink HY63I1B16KR sticks I purchased final year. It's OK although, these blue sticks appear decent slotted in among the old pink ones. Was this upgrade needed? Possibly not, based on what I use my rig for, but more is pretty much usually far better... specifically when you can get it ๚.I don't do considerably video encoding or editing (and no Photoshopping at all), but I am a multi-tasker and with IE9 beta's hardware acceleration, games, videos, music, and so on, i thought ๚ seemed reasonable to make certain my RAM was by no means a bottleneck.Subsequent up, I require a new GPU! Feel I'll wait for NewEgg's x-mas sale although. My specs:Intel i5-750 cpu (@ two.66GHz w/ stock cooler)MSI P55M-GD45 moboA-Data DDR3-1333 ram Ɣx2GB)MSI 9800GT 1GB gpuWD Caviar Black 750GB hddCorsair 750TX psuAntec 300 Illusion caseWin7 Property Premium 64-bit

I purchased two sets of 4gb Ƙgb total) of this brand at separate occasions, to make positive it would function on a new system; the initially 4gb worked flawlessly and ran stable on a win7 graphics workstation I built. I work heavily with photoshop and 3dsmax, and had no complications with stability, nor would I ever need a lower latency or fancy memory spreaders and crazy efficiency to overclock the memory. So I ordered a second set... The second set of 4gb failed memtest86 in the very first 10 minutes. I tried distinct banks, then manually set the memory timing, and it nevertheless failed swiftly. For manage, I used the 1st pair of 4gb, and it ran with errors for 8 hours straight. It never occurred to me to run memtest86 if I wasn't obtaining so a great deal BSOD and losing my operate. It would also BSOD when I locked my workstation and left idling, or just casually surfing the internet in the course of lunch. Thankfully, it was failing so rapidly that I didn't get too far into my work, but it would freeze Photosop cs4 x64 considering that it was searching to reserve 4gb of ram out of 8gb, but when I removed the faulty memory pair it was only acquiring 3gb obtainable on startup Ƒgb for OS) and it was giving my scratch disk rather a operate out. I thought I'd devote far more income after reading the reviews on the less expensive RAM modules, and would get something that "just works" out of the box mainly because I'm a freelancer and I charge billable hours for particular clients. Also, given that I don't need to have anything with crazy colors or LEDs, or have any desire to overclock, I didn't want to invest funds on the top of the range memory for those attributes. I just required a thing that runs stable with various graphic applications open. Now that I have to pay for shipping, purchase a bubble envelope, and lose productivity to deal with this. I really should've just paid ฮ extra beforehand for one thing much more constant and stable, but anything appears geared to gamers around here. Excellent memory and passes memtest every time. The difficulties I have experienced, along with others, is that it will not run in a stable manner at 1333 or above. This is not the fault of A-Data!I am running at 1067 with 8 8 8 20 27 1T with no aparent loss in efficiency. See below. I built this rig Sept 2009.Phenom II 955BE. C2!The momory controller does not like the clock speeds. This has been cured on the newer Phenom IIs (C3) and it runs great. I have just finished a create and, for the heck of it, attempted this memory in the new rig with the Phenom II C3 version. Functions fine at 1333. I put it back in last years build at 1067 and it runs fine.

I will need to take back my previous poor assessment of this RAM! It turns out that this ram works perfectly properly, my ASUS motherboard failed and triggered memory errors (as nicely as other strange difficulties). I got a equivalent model Gigabyte mobo with the similar nvidia 630a chipset, and I was able to run memtest for hours with no difficulty. I would recommend! None so far.

Was affordable when I bought it.Basically plugged it in and it worked great. none I bought 4 gigs of this memory for my very first self-built computer, and just recently bought one more matching set. Unfortunately my motherboard's memory slots are too close to the cpu, so when I put in the two new sticks my cpu would rapidly overheat. This is in now way the memory's fault although, I'm just writing this to remind everyone to make certain they have at least a half inch of space among their RAM and their cpu ahead of they purchase more.

I could get my laptop or computer to start out with no difficulties by pushing the MemOK button on my ASUS mobo. Right after updating the bios I began receiving a poor pool header blue screen.
