Purchased due to the very low price of this USB 3.0 drive. I find it noticeably faster than any high end USB 2.0 dives that I've tried but it is a bit slow compared to many other USB 3.0 drives. That is perfectly acceptable given the price point of the drive though. The drive looks decent, it won't stick out if it's connected to a grey or black laptop/desktop and the cap seems to be high quality and the drive feels solid with it's aluminum structure. |

If speed is really important I would recommend picking up the 32gb version because it's rated to write at 50mb/s, double the speed of this one. I trust that rating because this 16gb version reads and writes at the same speed its rated for.There's only 2 gripes I have with this product. The cap just pops off and would be easy to lose as it in no way stays attached to the device. It also doesn't come with a lanyard to hang it around your neck or on a keychain. It DOES have a notch on the back to attach a lanyard to, but it just doesn't come with one. You could buy one and use it but that also presents another problem. The device is formed so you can snap the cap onto the back of it when in use. The lanyard also attaches in the same spot, so you cant put the cap on the back if its attached to a lanyard.An activity LED would have been greatly helpful.These are not deal breaking faults. Great USB drive for a really good price when on sale. Even though 25Mb/s write speed is a bit slow compared to SATA hard drives, it's a really nice upgrade from my last USB drive (10Mb/s max write, 15Mb/s max read).100Mb/s read speed is really nice for a USB drive though. Makes transfers from the drive to anywhere else much faster than with the older USB drives.Great product and build quality is nice (main body is aluminum). Would definitely recommend if you're not needing more than 16Gb and don't need absolute top end speeds from a USB drive.One thing to note: the picture is wrong for this item. Like many others said, this USB is very nice for the amount of storage you get for such a little price. Its only inconvenient is the lack of LED feedback when plugged in.
