The SSD came with latest firmware. I've installed it easily in the case plugged it in the right port for 6.0G then put the right SATA cable written 6.0 G on it. Then I've installed my windows 7 on it and ran some test. The ATTO test gave me: 300 mb/s for both write and read. I've also ran crystal disk Mark and it also gives me 300 mb/s max. I Haven't been able to exceed this speed. I've double-checked cables and port to be sure and everything is in place. So I've gotta say I'm disappointed by this SSD. Doesn't live up to it's speed. For the price I don't think you can get a better SSD right now at this size. I don't know a whole lot about SSDs to be able to compare, this is my first one. So far it hasn't given me any problems and it boots crazy fast compared to a 7200RPM drive. |

This thing is fast, real fast, as expected of a sata3 SSD. Boot-up from the moment I turn-on the PC is < 30 seconds. Applications fire-up pretty quick, like Explorer, FireFox, games, etc. Best upgrade for your PC. Good brand. Long warranty. Kinda pricey still, like all SSDs. But hey, it comes with an aluminum bracket. Looks hot. |

Pros:Low price, mounting tray and screws included, 3 year warranty, free Acronics software download, 128GB instead of usual 120GB Comment:
I tested the drive with ATTO benchmark and the results were right on the money as stated in product specification. Seems to be well finished, time will tell if it lasts. My system is a lot snappier as I upgraded from a SATA II SSD to this one, I can tell and feel the difference. After rebate it is only $85, good value I think. |

I installed this SSD using the 3.5" mounting tray included with this product, and it was extremely easy and looks great in my case. The switch from HDD to SSD was painless and definitely worth it. Never booting from HDD again! |
I was going to get the Samsung 840 in the beginning but my friend suggested me to try this one since it is on sale. It turns out to be a great decision. It is way faster than the 840 (non pro version) and comes with free copy of Acronis True Image HD. Backed up my C drive with it and restored on this SSD. Windows 7 starts up within 25 sec. Probably will be way faster if I install Windows. Great buy, highly recommended!
