Good all around CPU
Comment:
Have this running now for over two weeks with no issues. Swapped it with a X2 6000 125W (moved to a board that only support up to 95W) and have no problems with the apps or games that I run. Only issue, that the other 2 cores are not unlock-able, but not really an issue, since I don't need them. Over all, this CPU is great, and runs really cool compared to the X2 6000. Will definitely use these for future builds.

I have had great success with AMD chips in the past and this one so far so good. Running windows 7 and its working well considering 7 still is missing some drivers.

AMD Athlon X2 7550 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:None really that I have found. I didn't read closely and didn't see that no heatsink / fan was included. Luckily I had a stock one laying around (from a Phenom II 965). Works well :)

Pros:Running well - very nice $$$ per GHz for this dual-core proc.
Comment:
Purchased this in a bundle for a budget system - working quite well and it's a step up from the P4 2.4 GHz system that it's replacing. Haven't had any issues with it except remember to read that it's OEM aka no HS/Fan ;)

AMD Athlon X2 7550 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:Can get a little warm

Pros:Great price, fast, overclockable
Comment:
Rush build for friend, so didn't have much time to fine-tune its overclock. Took it up to 3.0GHz at first, without any voltage increase and it booted and ran Prime95 for about 10mins without a hitch. However, over the months, it started giving my friend some problems so we brought it back down to 2.8GHz and there have been no problems since.

Great little CPU that "CAN"
Comment:
I've used this CPU in several low cost builds and it does the job for your general computer uses. I love AMD processors for their easy socket. Coolers are simple to attach and remove at will without dismateling the motherboard.

Very Smooth, Very Quick
Comment:
So far, I'm loving this CPU. This is my first AMD on a fresh system rebuild. I installed it on a ZOTAC Mobo, with a ThermalTake TR2 R1 CPU fan with heatsink. Once I worked out the repair install with XP (due to the massive hardware change) this thing showed me a world of difference in performance over the legacy system. Pros: Fast, stable, generates little heat with the right fan. Runs EVE Online at the highest settings with no hiccups. Instantly responsive between applications and with several running simultaneously (Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, IRC, Firefox, EVE Online). Certainly lives up to its reputation. 2.5 Ghz, high FSB (for its generation) and silky smooth processing. Cons: None. Installed flawlessly. Bottom line: Likely not a better CPU for the money on the market.

AMD Athlon X2 7550 2.5GHz Socket AM2+ 95W Dual-Core Processor
Cons:Of course it's OEM so you need a heatsink but you should have known that if you research the specs.

Pros:Last of the AM2's as stock is getting weeded out!Good Performance, Operating Temperature.Perfect for snagging cheap AM2 mobos and ridiculously cheap DDR2 ram.
Comment:
Overclocked to 2.94Ghz and since the AMD AM2 chips are starting to thin out and give way for AM3's arrival I thought I should snap up some before it's too late. The processor is running cool at 28 degrees with a Arctic Cooling heatsink so this is all good.At Stock settings and paired with a Radeon 4850 I'm playing games like Mirrors Edge on Med/High settings very smoothly.I'm going to overclock this shortly and see if I can't get it to near 2.9GHZ then this will make me a very happy soul.UPDATE: after playing around with BIOS on my Gigabyte GA-MA74GM-S2 mobo I managed to pull off a 2.94GHZ overclock with ram just shy of 800MHZ. So a 3Ghz chip in the bag I'm happy. Bumped CPU to 1.344V, HT 12.5 FSB 235 This review was modfied by poster @ 08-05-09 11:40 PM

Yeah, there are definitely faster processors out there, but not in this price range. AMD always gives a little more bang for the buck, and this site has the greatest prices. Thanks guys!

AMD Athlon 64 X2 7550 Processor
Comment:
I bought this Processor for a computer that I built for a friend. I haven't heard any complaints and because the X2's are inexpensive it allows me to sell the computer at a lower price. They have been an excellent CPU for computer builds.
