Two SATA Power Connectors. There is a vent on each side.Excellent Hunting.Low cost! Extremely hard to see front LED's.Side Mount HDD isn't excellent. No mount for aux fan.Shiny surface is very easily smudged. I am employing this box with the Intel 945GC motherboard. It fits very nice but there is no excellent spot for an auxiliary fan when there are two HDD's installed (one on side and one in 3.5 external). The side HDD absolutely covers a single of the vents so I mounted a fan at the other vent and my HDD's run at 38 and 34 degrees Celsius below load. The hotter a single is the 1 on the side. General it operates genuinely well and was an amazing situation for my NAS and was the proper price tag.

Mini ITX case, 250 W PSU Poor ventilation. The chassis holes are blocked by the hard drive and there is no place to mount a case fan. Not appropriate for the new Intel DG45FC mini ITX board

- Nice high quality situation components & common design.- Modest on the outdoors.- Can support two 3.5" drives & a DVD drive (with careful cable routing).- Exceptional value if you can get it on unique.- Great seeking case. - Tricky to route your cables if you've got a DVD drive & two HD.- Will practically definitely want some sort of fan.- Energy/reset buttons aren't excellent. This unit does not have a fan other than the one in the power provide. I got a PCI card fan for บ & am happy with the temperatures. Undoubtedly take out the PSU before trying to install something. Also be prepared to route & reroute cables. Finally, a full sized DVD drive will virtually touch the PSU, so take that into consideration.I would buy one particular yet again & I'm relatively picky.

Great situation, black finish simple to remove cover. I would advise this acquire. Good Price... Had a broken latch for the usb port, but im not worried about that considering that I use it for a server. I wish the case had a mount for two hdd's but not a big dilemma.

Serves the new Intel Atom architecture perfectly. Has just adequate space for mini-itx board, tough drive, optical drive, wi-fi card, and perhaps also an internal card reader. Power supply has been fine. General, no complaints. No spot for internal speaker (that I can inform). If using an IDE tricky drive, make certain your ribbon cable is lengthy adequate, mainly because the placement of the drive with respect to the motherboard can catch you by surprise when putting the personal computer with each other.

Compact; can easily mod to fit four HDD for NAS; I guess this situation has undergone a variety of modifications as mine had a lot of ventilation on both sides of the situation. Dead PSU on arrival (consider this, "Allied" is supposedly the manf. on the side of PSU, but that is actually Apex); Wires, wires, wires (from PSU and MB connector cables)...tangled mess, but cable weren't made with micro cases in mind. Finish of the day it's a really nice case with a truly bad PSU. Not worth killing the overview simply because of a slight inconvenience, but if you're considering it, be ready for the PSU to be DOA.

small, attractive (no visible ports on the front) holes punched on the sides are ideal to mount 80mm fan the usual sharp metal to cut yourself on.wish the side holes had been punched to fit standard screw for mounting fans (had to widen them with a drill) actually wish they utilized frosted plastic for the lower front cover. this would be excellent if i could mount a IR receiver with no doing nasty mods to the case.due to the fact my zotac board had integrated power I pulled the p/s and covered the back

Good finish, and excellent seeking style. Good quantity of room for a mini-itx case, anything went together effortlessly. LED's not super-bright like on my major rig, and located in a way that doesn't draw attention. Mini-itx is about quiet, lower power computing, so why is the power supply fan relatively loud? Not a big situation, but it would be nice to be able to remove front panel connectors you don't will need (my board didn't have front panel audio). Replaced the power supply fan and grill, obviously voiding the warranty, but producing it a whole lot nicer to reside with. Newegg pictures don't show the situation colors ideal, that tan-ish color is supposed to be a mirror-type finish. Noticed the old fan wires had been pinched in the power supply casing.

Lots of Space, 250W Flex PSU is enough for high power specifications. DG45FC Mobo is compatible with Low Profile HeatSink. Case Cooling could be better. I employed PCI fan Slot to reduce Mobo temp. Also 3.5 Drive Bay could be HDD compatible. You get what you spend. maybe with some extra.

price tag, size, comes with psu, shine mirror finish, layout and added space beneath fd/hd mount for second / third HD (if you block side vent holes), wrapped in protective plastic, 1. kind of cramped up about the fd/hd 2. cpu fan and psu are touching (no noise from neitherƝ. fingerprins easly observed on mirror finish (it all comes off) so right here is the scoop :I have no slightest thought what are some people complaining about: heat was not an concern with 1. ZOTAC NF610I MB two. 4gb of wintec ram three. stock cpu HSF on e7200 and 4. up to three hd's (one in the vent a single in the fdd/hdd beneath dvd slot and one particular zipped to the botom of floor behind MB) Wires tend to be a handfull but absolutely nothing one can't deal with assuming one particular knows what he's carrying outa initially i admit i believed the reviewers and got 120mm fan (by the way if you dont mind the fan noise right here is a neet thing ----- if you mount he drive beneath dvd drive and possibly second under that 1 on the case floor you can take above mentioned 120 mm case fan and stick it in the bottom suggested hd rail and the top rated rail exherts enough tension on leading of the fan that you don't even need to bother securing it otherwise it sits there solid as a rock!! the moment it snaps in that is.) so i mounted 2 hd in case and 120mm fan and loaded cpu, ram ,and hd's to one hundred% temp. cpu/chipset idle/load 31ኌ

- Newer version has vent holes on left and right side of case. The venting on each and every side can fit two 80 mm fans side by side. Venting lines up with fan screw holes- Fits a core i3 processor with stock cpu cooler barely (it touches the power provide which resides just above the motherboard).- The optical drive bay is stealthed. Front face has hidden usb and audio ports.- Nice outer finish for the cost. Gloss black case. Front panel is mirror finished. Adhesive rubber feet included in package. Front panel lights are unobtrusive.- Bundled power provide is of comparatively great good quality. The fan in it is quiet (I can only say that it is quieter than the core i3 stock cpu cooler fan which in turn is quite quiet)- Roughly the size of a shoebox.- Power button is sturdy. - Whilst the case supports a complete height pci card, it is not advised. A complete height pci card completely covers the venting on the left side of the case, making it very challenging to maintain the cpu cool. Also note that even low profile video cards will impede airflow substantially due to the low hanging power supply.- The default case configuration does not have enough room to slot a 120 mm fan. Right after employing a dremel to cut away some of the assistance strut, I was able to fit one particular in.- Does not fit a 120 mm exhaust fan out of the box (I favor bigger fans :-P). I had to dremel a piece out of a single of the internal support struts in order to fit a single in.- Case is very cramped with all components installed. Take your time. Proper angle sata connectors help a lot. Make sure when you're completed that none of your wires can get stuck in your fans.- No modular power supplies offered from newegg for this form element :-( This is the smallest case I could uncover that fits a core i3 processor and an optical drive though also supplying sufficient wattage to stated processor. When this case is combined with the core i3, it tends to make a powerful windows-based htpc. If you are interested in going the linux route and using XBMC, you will possibly also want to buy a low profile nvidia pci-e card considering that the XBMC project hasn't gotten the core i3's IGP to operate satisfactorily with the system. If you are organizing on utilizing an atom motherboard with this case along with an external power supply, I would like to point out that there are smaller situations that can fit the configuration comfortably.

I have two of these boxes each containing the Intel 945gclf2 motherboard. Compact. very good power provide. Does all i want/need As i wanted a motherboard with a bit far more power i bought a 3rd MI-100 to residence a mini-itx DG41J and a e7400 processor. There is nowhere close to enough room to fit the as supplied processor fan underneath the power supply. Short about 1cm.I am now utilizing the SILVERSTONE Sugo SG05-B which has plenty of room for CPU fan and has an additional fan on the front panel

Sturdy. Even devoid of the cover we can see that the chassis is stable. Excellent cost for what you get. 250 Watt power sup. The power provide has the suitable cables for any ITX board and now even includes one particular SATA connector (two would be the perfect for persons who want two drives in a RAID configuration). The incredibly shiny (mirror) front panel is very excellent hunting, but for folks who like issues very clean this can be a lot more of a hassle than a benefit considering that any time you touch it, will get finger prints on it. Then you have to go there with a cloth and wipe it once again, unltil it will ultimately get scratched. Just and observation, but in no way it is something to push the ratings down. Building a compact method for my syster and this box is larger than a ITX D945GCLF would need because it does not put out any heat, but I have selected this isntead of a smaller case simply because this is extremely robust. A common CD drive and a floppy goes in the front instead of the more fragile notebook like drives. The power provide has a lot of juice for two HD, primary board and CD/Floppy and even perhaps an added PCI card taht could be a much more effective graphics card that what comes in the ITX major board.

Great aesthetics, enough space for every little thing without having obtaining frustrated in the course of the create. Quite quiet Air flow is somewhat restricted major to larger temperatures than I'd choose on the CPU (Atom 330), but still nicely inside tolerance. Probably no point taking the protective plastic off till you're about to give it to the final recipient, as it doesn't truly interfere with the build.

Appears solid and was easy to mount hardware in it. Ventilation is ok. If you need to have a tiny case for ibx mobo, this is a great one. I could not get a dvd drive installed in this darn issue since the tricky drive have to mount right below it ... and that challenging drive is proper subsequent to the motherboard. It was just also cramped in there, so I removed the dvd drive due to the fact the system I built didn't need to have it. I put 2GB RAM in it and connected it to a 28" monitor and it does NOT have the juice to play hulu.com video or any 600-700MB film files. 1 pci card opening in the back of the case, so make positive you strategy about that.

A lot of persons are writting about this case not having a case fan.Well, it does. It is in the power supply. It sucks fresh air from the case cover side vent and expells it out the back of the power provide. The fan speed is fixed, it's quite very, but fairly efficient unless you have a board producing a lot of heat which is unusual on a mini-ITX. On my Intel DG45FC it functions fine. And this is the only ITX case I know of that comes with a 250 watt power provide, good for the couple of ITX boards shipping currently with socket 775. The power connector is a 24 pin. Your ITX board may not have that and you may want a 24 to 20 pin converter cable. The boards I know with socket 775 all have 24 pin plus the four pin processor power connector, so this case is ideal for that. Front panels with mirror finish gets messy, and cleanning it all the time will scratch them.I would rather see the front panel "plastic" mirrors replaced by plain black plastic, and not shinny like the cover paint, so no finger prints to clean all the time. I am running an E8400 with stock HS. I applied the original Intel HS on it but not with the push pin clips which bends the board baddly. I removed the push pins and use nylon screws with a coil spring (half inch extended) taken from a different HS and place a 5mm thick nylon washer in in between the board and the HS on every single of the attachement legs making an perfect heigh set for some pressure on the processor but not enough to bend the board. The nylon screws come from below the board, pass by means of the board, through the washer, enter the HS leg which has a coil spring inside and a nylon nut at the top rated. Don't you assume you want a lot of pressure in between heatsink and processor for it to have excellent heat tranfer. Non sense. Pressure assists nothing at all but damage your board. What you want is a great and flat HS, very good thermal paste, and just make positive the HS is absolutelly touching its complete surface with the processor's surface and all of it covered with thermal paste. Word from an engineer. Trust if you will.

Modest caseNice FinishConsists of Power Provide I read the evaluations of it getting hot but purchased anyhow... my mistake. This runs WAY also hot. The style calls for the power supply to sit directly on leading of the processor fan/heatsink (e8400). When processing my temps were hitting 85 C just before I noticed and shut down! Opening up the case and removing the power provide temps had been decreased by 25 C. I was able to mount a 120mm fan on the front left side (cut a four" hole making use of a holesaw) and covered it with a fan filter. Also the vent on the sides permits two - 80mm fans to be mounted without having any modification (existing holes function for fan screws). Even with all these fans my CPU temps had been also high for my liking ࿨ C at load). This could perform alright for a smaller CPU but I would say there is just not adequate space for airflow.

For the price tag the case is essentially not to poor. The high quality of the steel and even the general "feel" is decent. The motherboard mounts had been skewed and not evenly spaced. I could only mount 3 of the screws even immediately after drilling out element of the backplate to assist make it fit. I found this case to be FAR more frustrating than it was worth. I have built various dozen sff computers. That mentioned, I will additional than likely steer clear of Apex in the future. It is not worth my time and work to RMA the case and I learned from the experience.

The capacity to snap a 120mmx25mm fan into the location where the internal difficult drive is supposed to go. I drilled a handful of holes on the opposite side of the case for air flow.Energy provide seems adequate, I ran the machine all day beneath load with no difficulties. Somewhat flimsy.Pretty much no airflow with out the 120mm fan "mod".Noise of the 120mm amplified pulling by way of the tiny holes. I put a D945GCLF2 in this case with 2GB ram, 2400pro and 750GB sata drive.Very first time running it 1 of the atom cores locked up. Huge overheating of the whole case. I took off the cover and removed the 2400pro. Read evaluations right here about snapping in a 120mm fan in location of the internal hard drive. I utilized an old zalman five.25 challenging drive radiator and moved the sata drive to the top bay.At the moment have a 50cfm fan. If I have one handy I'll use a 30cfm rather or undervolt.
