Cons:one way mount

Pros:quietgood air flow
Comment:
I like the anti-vibration and how this fan is keeping my system a lot cooler than it had been. It feels as cold as when i have it turned off now.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:Push mount only due to nature of design, finger guards are anything but.

Pros:High static pressure, reasonable volume, PWM. Price
Comment:
Excellent CFM for the DB. PWM makes it even better as a W/C Rad fan. As long as you don't mind it being a push-only design. Great price too.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:Due to power connector being 4pins (TX3 or TX4 not sure but not the molex kind) it can't fit into those 3pin TX3 connectors that have a housing or socket around it like a cup; you'll need to use a bare TX3 exactly like those on motherboards. Zalman adaptors often come with the housing socket type.Instructions are not easily understood for those who either never used PWM feature before or are not looking directly at the board it will be used on. Would be helpful if a diagram identified the 3 different connectors on the fan.

Pros:120x38mm, all black, surface mounted fan, includes case badges, screws, paper instruction manual with drawn diagrams, RoHS compliant fan, compatible with tooless 25mm deep mounting, 6yr warranty, main wiring sleeved, the rest are not.Paper packaging with a sleek glossy attractive finish. Very ecological in my opinion.Fan is mounted using soft silicone/rubber fasteners, that absorb vibrations, on an "open" frame.Excellent for cpu and rear (exhaust only) case fan but by design you cannot mount this as an intake fan.Advertised as 23DB but makes less noise than the Arctic Cooling 12025 PWM and easily pushes more air plus it's a little cheaper.Obstructing intake has no effect on noise level. Obstructing exhaust has no effect on noise level.3pin/4pin TX3 connector and multiple bypasses allow you to power all computer fans and control their speeds from 1 socket (PWM Sharing Technology); RPM splitters let you monitor all computer fan RPMs through remaining fan plugs on motherboard.ONLY $9!
Comment:
Well as all my other reviews I've only tested it out by running it on the floor in a silent home at night sometimes with the tv volume set to 10. 3rd fan I've tested from my collection and 2nd best 120mm so far but my list is still largely incomplete. Not sure why this is but the Arctic Cooling Arctic Fan 12025 PWM has the same rated RPM, same CFM, rated only 2DB higher but when I put my hand at the exhaust you can feel this 12PWM pushes harder, the exhaust can be felt twice as far away (definatley feels like a higher static pressure at least), and easily makes less noise at the same distance from my ear, strange. This is now my 2nd favourite 120mm fan.If it could be mounted in the front or if they had the exact same fan with opposite turned blades then this line would beat the 12025 PWM for both front & rear case fans. ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:- Expensive

Pros:- Quiet- Temperature Monitoring- Supports 4-pin fan connection- 6-Year Warranty
Comment:
Nearly silent during operation, including when it speeds up. I use three of them in my Thermaltake Matrix Case, 1 front, 1 rear, and one replaced the stock fan on my Thermaltake Big Typhoon CPU cooler. Now my processor runs ten Celsius cooler and my computer is much quieter.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:Not enough air being pushed. PWM is a bother.

Pros:Very very very quiet
Comment:
I bought this fan for a side air intake fan. As the name says, it's extremely quiet. However I do find the CFM to be quite low, and is recommend for people who want quiet PC.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:- PWM control doesn't seem to work

Pros:- Really Quiet - Moves a decent amount of air
Comment:
Just got this fan today, but it is extremely quiet compared to the Antec fan that came with my Sonata III case. It moves more air (than the Antec at medium) and its quieter, really nice. The fan is easy to install, although the PWM seems not work with my motherboard (ASUS M3A), meaning the fans work while the BIOS is loaded, but if I have fan speed controlled via PWM my heatsink fan, and this fan don't work once Windows finishes booting up! I don't think this is an issue with the fan as much as it is with my motherboard though.

Cons:- Can only be mounted one way

Pros:- Quiet- Looks nice- Good quality
Comment:
I'm using one of these to cool my Pentium Dual Core E2180 at 3 GHz with a Cooler Master GeminII heatsink. I'm running it at only 400 RPM but still have 31 C idle / 58 C load temps. At this speed I can't hear the fan at all. It's great to be able to adjust the fan speed in the BIOS / software. Highly recommended! This review was modfied by poster @ 03-04-08 09:54 AM

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:A bit flimsy

Pros:Low noisePMW controlled
Comment:
Fan moves a resonable amount of air given on how quiet it is. I find that that outer framing of the fan to be extremely thin and weak.I initally had the fan connected as the instructions said by piggy backing off the CPU plug, but have switched it to its own PMW plug and have found it to perform much better this way.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:none really, the way its designed only allows it to be mounted one way, but thats more of a design choice for their anti-vibration system than a flaw

Pros:Nice and quiet, still moves good amount of air
Comment:
no complaints: good fan, can be had for a reasonable price, and the pwm sharing thing is a nice feature

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:awkward to install

Pros:quietgood cfm
Comment:
Overall a nice quiet fan that has fairly high airflow for it's quiet nature. Even running at full speed this fan was not noticiable above the ambiant noise. Somewhat awkward to install as it is deeper and the mounting in my Matrix case required me to remove the case brackets and screw it in from the back.

ARCTIC COOLING ACF12PWM 120mm Case Fan - Retail
Cons:Difficult to mount on heatsinksCan only be orientated one way (blowing)

Pros:Underdog championNearly SilentPWM for 4pin CPU fan headers
Comment:
Paired this up with a TR Ultra 120-Extreme and couldn't be happier. It is so much quieter than my old Zalman CNPS9500LED (even in silent mode) but it moves much more air at the same time. I have two quiet CM 120mm case fans (22dBA rating) and they are the only things I can hear now, it's bliss. I got the AC fan originally so I could control the fan speed RPM's with PC Probe II or Speedfan but it's just not necessary because it's actually THAT quiet at full speed (1500rpm).The unfortunate thing was that I had to use zip-ties to mount it on my Ultra 120-Extreme because the only screw holes (which normally would be used for the TR brackets) are on the bottom. The design of this fan is neat but not practical in this case. There is a grill protecting your fingers and it holds the axis for the fan with the grill's feet made of rubber and attached where the screw holes normally would come through (thus helping to eliminate vibration, which it does well).Even though this is a PWM fan, AC covered the bases by including a 3pin adapter for those without PWM CPU fan headers, and the power cable has nice looking and flexible black sleeving. It looks killer on my setup and does an excellent job while also being silent. Arctic Cooling has really become a major player in the PC cooling market and they've built up a great reputation for innovative designs and reliable peformance products. Their fans even come with a 6yr warranty for peace of mind, but I've never had any problems with their products for quality issues (owned several AC case fans, CPU HS/Fans, and two GPU coolers). Two Thumbs up!
