ASUS GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 Video Card
Comment:
Runs exceptional for the cost. I bought for a inexpensive gaming desktop I was throwing together, and so far anything runs smoothly. WoW runs on ultra, no fps concerns even in large trash groups/other laggy locations. None so far! For the price, def worth it.

None It doesn't perform on 1080p. I tried to call Asus Consumer Assistance for tech assistance and there is nobody to take phonecalls there. I've been waiting for somebody to take my phonecall for half an hour and no one was there to answer my phone. I sent Asus an e-mail explaining my situation in detail and asking them to assist me repair this and all I got as a reply was a phone number for their Customer Help. What a joke, right after waiting for 30 minutes for somebody to answer a phonecall with no success! I have in no way recieved my rebate from Asus. Every little thing was approved and they even offered me with a tracking quantity that has never been valid, that has by no means worked, and I have never gotten my rebate from them. You can't even get in touch with them for troubles about your rebate. All they have on the rebate web page is a FAQ section and a tracking number that isn't valid. That was my expertise with them. This was my initial time getting from Asus and I will never ever purchase from them again. Worst knowledge ever.

Looks cool, runs rapidly! WoW on ULTRA, 60fps no matter what. I don't even own other games that will tax it. Time to obtain some newer games! It's great The "GamerOSD" software included with the card triggered problems with WoW. Would not let me go above "Fair" settings until I removed that software. Extremely frustrating but when I figured it out every thing was fine.

ASUS GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 Video Card
Comment:
Good cost (even devoid of the rebate)! I replaced a 9800 GT with this card and it's SO much quieter. I feel like it runs substantially cooler as well, despite the fact that I haven't run any temp. tests to be positive. I play LOTRO with most of the settings maxed and this card has no difficulty handling the load. None so far. I'm running this in a Dell XPS 410, with the stock 375w PSU. I had read very a couple of posts stating that Dell under-rates the wattage on their PSU's, and that the stock XPS 410 PSU should have no difficulty powering the card. I was nonetheless a little nervous about it, so I asked a tech at Dell. He confirmed that the PSU need to have no challenge and he was suitable. :)

Card looks sweet! Card was DOA from day one particular. Tried to send it back to newegg but becoming that I perform 14 hours a day could by no means locate the time. When I lastly had time I was out of the RMA period. Fresh install of Windows 7 64 bit, latest drivers, card would crash operating WOW and several other games. Uninstalled and installed older drivers, a single off of the disc that came with the card still no adore. Power Provide was up to snuff! Tried in numerous other systems/configurations with no luck. ASUS GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 Video Card
Comment:
Already overclocked, incredibly extremely quickly. not a excellent fit in a mid tower. Fine in a full size tower I bought 2 of these. A single was to replace a GT220, which lived in a full size tower. Install was a breeze, and the driver DVD was very basic. The improvement more than the 220 was far more than I would have expected. Plays WoW with evry setting on Ultra, gets 12 - 24 fps in the AH in SW, ㅠ - 60fps out doing dailies, and a fantastic healthful 28 - 35 in raids. The 220 would only come up with these types of numbers when on "good" settings. This card went into a full size tower (Antec 300) and fit with no troubles. On the other box, it replaced and overclocked BFG 9800. The improvements there were even bigger, but considering that that macking only has a dual core, I still can only run on "good" settings if I don't want any stuttering. The case on this machine was a mid size (Antec Lanboy Extreme), and fitting the card in there was a challenge. That's the only purpose I am deducting an egg ... persons with mid size towers are going to have to be really inventive to make this issue fit.

ASUS GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 Video Card
Comment:
This video card is good for those new and mid generation Pc games. You can overclock this child up to 920mhz with no complications, but just make certain you set your fan settings to automatically go faster for cooling to assist give that additional boost on some high finish computer games. Fantastic for watching videos in HD and playing games at larger resolution with no troubles.I can get more than 200FPS in each bioshock games, but make confident you use V-Sync if you're seeing clippings. You won't lose your speed. I can play Crysis decently on high settings to up at least 20-30FPS. You can possibly get greater FPS with SLI of the exact same cards. Some could call this a spending budget card, but I think it's up to par with the newer models of its kind. It hasn't let me down however. Only con I can think of is its computer software that comes with it. I think Asus ought to have carried out much better with it. Personally, I believe they ought to of make it so that the video card could recall my settings as an alternative of getting to use the software all the time to OC. Other than that, this card functions perfectly the way I wanted & fits perfectly in my computer system case. As lengthy as you preserve it up to optimal settings, it keeps the GPU cooled & you won't run into difficulties. Asus Video card with Asus motherboard. A single of a sort.

ASUS GeForce GTS 450 (Fermi) ENGTS450 DC OC/DI/1GD5 Video Card
Comment:
Good performance in games on fairly high game settings at 1680x1050 resolution (I usually get at least 30 fps in Homefront and Rift on high settings). The card runs reasonably cool and is really quiet. The ASUS computer software/drivers seemed to be causing performance issues occassionally -- my fps would get incredibly low at times ƕ-10 fps) when operating some games. I uninstalled the whole ASUS software program suite (including video drivers) and installed the common GeForce dirvers from Nvidia. Due to the fact doing that I've had no problems and now the card functions just fine. I upgraded from a GeForce 9600GT and I'm normally pleased with the efficiency of the GTS 450, but I would most likely opt for a GeForce GTX 460 (or far better) if I had to do it all over once again. The price for a 460 GTX is a little bit higher, but the performance is most likely substantially greater than the GTS 450 (i.e. far more bang for the buck).

SCREAMS! I play WoW on a "full" server, Mal'Ganis ... household to the Elitist Jerks, top PVE and PVP server in the US. In Ogrimar, on Saturday morning in the AH, it's cranking out 60+ fps with the slider bar all the way pegged to Ultra. It genuinely is kinda big. I had to relocate my wireless card to the bottom slot due to the fact it wound up blocking the card's fan somewhat. I put this in a full size tower, but I can certainly see that putting it in a midsize would be tough. oh - my - jebus. For 财 I by no means was expecting the efficiency this thing is blasting out.

Quiet. Completes one SETI@Home workunit in about 18 minutes (one at a time) or two in about 33 minutes (two at a time) employing Lunatics' Unified Installer v0.37. Though running one task the temp is 60C, 85% GPU load, and fan speed at 35% 񢄤 RPM) according to GPU-Z .5. I couldn't afford a GTX 480. The card's a lot longer than the GT 240 it replaced. The plastic heat sink covering is keeping the power connector on my hdd firmly in location.

Fairly decent card. Runs most games on high to max settings with superior fps The only reason i'm docking an egg is for the Asus driver and computer software that comes with the card. I would recommend not installing any of the computer software and driver. Head to the Nvidia internet site and download the driver from there. Asus driver and computer software seems to be hurting the performance of the card.

Comment:
It's a beefy card that works fantastic in both Ubuntu 10.10 and Win 7. If I could do it more than once again, I would have invested the extra ฤ or whatever it was to get the GTX 460. Seriously, it's twice the card. Oh effectively. Does need some tinkering in the nvidia driver to get videos to play in full-screen with out tearing. It appears to believe that downclocking to 80mhz is sufficient to draw all the pixels on a full hd display. It is not. I manually set it to efficiency and the tearing goes away.
