Incredibly quick video card. Flight Sim X looks amazing. Corel Studio and nVidia need to get together and function out some problems. They each say that the card supports CUDA but one of them is not telling the truth. I had to turn off the hardware encoding in Corel's X3 Pro Video editing program to maintain it from crashing. I can't actually trash nVidia given that I'm not sure who's at fault here but they need to get their act together. Hopefully the subsequent software update will make everything all far better.

Excellent CARD! Runs rapid and stable. Comes with Smart Doctor (monitoring and tweaking utility) that permits thermal and fan speed polling at five sec up to 30 sec at 5 sec incraments. Automatic Overclocking utilities built in to the software program... also has manual settings. HDMI socket is too close to the edge of the card/computer chassis, some HDMI cables will not fit (Rocketfish). GPU fan stock at 35% (auto speed control ON by default, allowed card to get to 151 degrees F) will not remain locked in at higher speeds if you close the smart doctor app. (app runs on 9,200 k of memory) I see claims of men and women operating games at max settings with this card...If you have questions feel free of charge to askCarnage0651 on yahoo IM

Running two of these in SLI, nothing will stop it. Each game or benchmark you throw at is eaten alive, and video rendering in Adobe Premier with GPU encoding enabled is so much more rapidly. Rendered 10 min of 720p video in about 6 minutes... amazing! Price is a little high compared to ATI alternatives, I got mine for 蹵.99 which isn't too poor. Cost right now is บ lower than that. So get it now! The cost to performance ratio is actually good if you are going to SLI them. So you will possibly want two, if you can afford it. They do run hot, make confident you have very good air flow and a big chassis for these beasts, or water cool them. I use MSI Afterburner to control the fans the way I want to, wonderful utility for overclocking as nicely. Temperatures get up to 105* C in furmark soon after about 10 minutes... standard gaming sessions in Crysis or other games at max settings... 75-80 C at max, so it's really not too terrible. Will make a great space heater throughout winter times ;) Runs idle at about 55-61* C This is all in an ABS Canyon 695. Superb card if you have the dollars or want the performance, very best single GPU card out there if you are willing to pay a small extra. Remarkable SLI scaling, you genuinely get the most out of this card if you are running two together. Scaling will go down with three and particularly 4... but if you have the money and the cooling, no one is stopping you, bragging rights for the win!. You can also attach a pipe from your video cards exhaust and run it to the rest of the residence and in all probability get away with shutting down your heater during the winter ;).

The card is good, it performs as it must you can throw anything at it and still rock its socks off! but.. A month or so into owning this card I got a freeze, where I would lose connection via video and have to hard power off. As I turn back on it blows hot air out the back at about 70ኬ% fan speed as if the fan stopped. This is now happening on a everyday basis and does not even deserve 1 star. I'll be dealing with asus through Canada somehow now so ya.. thx. keep away from this card. Have to be a poor chip like of those nvidia gtx 480 troubles of other brands I hear. Its truly a hit or miss. I attempted ccleaner, driver sweep to update the drivers just in case, but its been performing this for the last 3 or so drivers anyway. Not to mention full clean OS installs. You can live with it and play games but this is happening additional typically and random now so I'm going to avoid the trouble and send it back. "better get a fixed one.."

May be my ATCS840 case, but claims of heat or fan noise are significantly unfounded.

Bought a few new video games for my PC that my old 7950GT could barely run so i decided to upgrade. Because installing this card i was able to run those games and high settings. I am pleased with its performance. As of 12Ǚቦ it is 1 of the ideal cards out on the market. Only reason i did not get the new 580GTX is that most of the GPU comparison internet sites rate these cards the exact same. I would love to give this card five stars even so there was a couple of issues. Now I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed, but i have been constructing my own PC's because 2000. Anyway i had the following issues that future buyers really should know prior to buying this card.1. It requires each a 8pin and 6pin energy plug. My old energy supply only had a 6 pin plug offered. Now you could use an adapter on the other hand ASUS did not feel like which includes 1 in the box. I was forced to obtain a new power supply. Which isn't a huge deal given that this card sucks alot of power anyway. Although i could have bought them both at the similar time and not waited an entire week just before installing.two. Another factor that irked me was the instruction manual didnt even show the card in the photos, it showed some generic card with only a 6pin slot. This confused me on whether it necessary each plugs to turn on. (It does btw).three. Its a enormous sexy card, if you got a small tower you could not get this beast to fit. Acquire this card if you want, just be conscious that its enormous and you want a free of charge 8 pin and 6 pin power plug to run it.

Rapidly3D VisionTessellationPhysX Not red and black to match all my other components Every person complains these cards run hot. Not accurate by any stretch of the imagination. Put my card in, booted up, and then overclocked it. immediately after running crysis on full settings and Just Trigger 2 in the background (not minimized just behind crysis) for over 3 hours the card reached a maximum temperature of 37c! this factor runs cooler than my old (overclocked) ATI Radeon HD 5770!

Looks very good, smaller than my 295 and plays every little thing at max settings. (Except Metro 2033, I have to turn off ADOF) I don't own two. I was skeptical right after reading some of the reviews but I am glad I did not listen. This card is amazing!! It outperforms my old 295 and even competes with my 5970 in most games. As for the temps I don't see what all the fuss is about. This cards temps aren’t that considerably higher then my 295 In my program, under load and with the fan set to 85% the temps normally stay in the 70s. Sometimes if it is warm in the room it will creep up to around 80. If I turn the fan all the way up it drops down to the high 60s. If you are having temp complications your case is too smaller or does not have adequate ventilation. If you still want much more proof, just look at what these cards do in SLI. Up to an 80% boost in performance!! This is the 1st NVIDIA card that really makes SLI worth the investment.

I did a full rebuild back in August and have because then been preoccupied to write a review. This card is fantastic, two is phenomenal. Crysis is like grass to a lawnmower. Cuts it, cuts it once more and spits it out. Steady frames of 40+ while recording with fraps. Scores an average of 30-40 FPS in the Heaven 2. Benchmark with everything capped and tessellation on high. Two of these together next to every other on a mobo isn't a wise alternative. I use these in a Rampage III Extreme and the board was built to use slots 1 and three at 16x for this reason alone. With them having a slot in between, the cooling is better and there is truly a couple of FPS increase in performance.Hottest I've taken the card was 105c when running furry to check for artifacts. I had the fan speed locked at 55% and that was the only reason why. Re ran the bench and didn't go over 92c which is the norm for this card Only con is it throws out high temps and this caused me to use the redirect box with the ATCS840 so the H50 wouldn't suck it back in to kill the CPU. i7 930 @ three.5Rampage III Extreme12GB Dominator GT @ 1600 7-7-7-212x ASUS GTX480Silverstone 1000wATCS840Vertex 2 120GB SSDWD 1TB CB SATA 6.0GB/s
