ASUS Intel G31 w/ E5300,4GB,Case & PS

ASUS P5KPL-AM SE Motherboard I bought this as part of a bare bones system from T.D. It came with an Intel dual core E5300 processor, 2Gb of memory (PC5400), case, and powersupply; all for $200. I put Windows 7 Pro 32-bit on it. This is my wife's PC which is used mainly for email, light word processing and chat utilities. I migrated the wireless g card from our old Pentium III system to this. She is now able to video chat with her family overseas perfectly with the wireless. It also handles non-BD movies from our home server via the wireless with no issues. It is the perfect replacement PC for the type of tasks that she does. Great performance for the money.

Kingston PC6400 800MHz 4GB DDR2 Desktop Memory Even though i had to warranty replace 1 of the rails after 2 weeks, it was quick and easy. Since then the memory performs well for the low price it sells for. I would reccomend this.

ASUS P5KPL-AM SE Motherboard Paired this motherboard with an Intel E7500 to resurrect my workhorse XP Pro computer - No games, just office and autocad duties. Running at factory settings - as with my other ASUS boards this one performs very well. I should probably buy a spare while the price is right.

Apex PC-319 Black Mid-Tower Case Received as part of a barebones package. Install of motherboard, hard drive, and optical drives was straightforward with no issues. As mentioned in another review, could use more USB ports, but I too had a media dashboard on hand anyway.

Power supply is ok for general computing, but you would need to upgrade for anything else. Optical drive was a little hard to install due to the way the knockouts come out. Instructions with the case are minimal.

Apex PC-319 Black Mid-Tower Case This was my first build in the post-IDE world, and it went swimmingly. Everything fit into this case easily with lots of room for extras. The case itself is just beautiful, I'm thinking about getting one for myself as the built was for a friend. Definite buy.

Fast and easy install, nice to have thermal paste already installed on the fan assembly as well. Makes installation a snap. Runs very cool, even while multitasking and game play. Will be buying more for sure....

ASUS P5KPL-AM SE Motherboard i just bought this wonderful motherboard for my new gaming system and i absolutely love it. Granted its not the best mobo out there, but its one hell of a price for a decent gaming mobo. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to build on a budget.

Kingston PC6400 800MHz 4GB DDR2 Desktop Memory I purchased these for a ITX System build. These are a low profile that barely comes over the memory slot which is perfect for the ITX build
