WASTE OF MONEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Comment:
I purchased 4 of these for some budget computer rebuilds and 3 of them were dead straight out of the box. I guess you get what you pay for.

Motherboard works just fine. Easy to install. Nothing really special about it. I currently use the motherboard in a computer for guests at my place. The only problem they report to me are the odd network issues. Ethernet drivers load later after everything else. Network connection seems choppy at times. Wait times are only a little bit longer than normal. Still love all of my ASUS products, but this is the only one that gave some performance issues.

NO CASE FAN PORT
Comment:
After buying this thing and hooking it up, I realized that there is no port on the mobo to hook up a case fan, so basically, the power supply fan and cpu fan must suffice unless you get an adapter for a molex plug to cpu fan. wish I would not have bought this now, it does not even mention that in the description.

Good deal
Comment:
I bought the combo, it's worth the money. Went together without a hitch. This is my third Asus MB and I am sold on them. My previous MB was another brand that only lasted a few months and the replacement didn't last much longer that I bought from another vendor. I will stick with Asus and this company.

2 for 2 running strong
Comment:
I bought a barebones kit and liked it so I got a second one. One running XP the other running 7. Almost a year ago and both doing great. I was asked by a friend to build him a pc and I told him about my two and since I like this mobo I was considering using it to fix him up. The only thing with my boards (both of them) is the front Audio port is dead, not a deal breaker for me or my friend. The front USB ports are ok which is way more important to me. I see the neg reviews and am wondering if certain batches were flawed? I like to stick with what works but some of you all had some trouble and since I am putting this together for a friend out of state I do not need credibility issues in the near future, on me or the product.

Piece of garbage
Comment:
I bought this mobo as part of a combo and it freezes on me on average once every 3 days. So if like me you need to keep your computer on for long periods of time, it is a total useless piece of garbage. If you turn your computer on for a few hours to use it and then turn it off, then you might not notice this problem.

Pro & Cons
Comment:
i bought this mobo as a combo, installed 2 gigs ram n it works pretty well(pro).. however now n then for no apparent reason, it freezes, no matter what the work load is, even when im doing nothing(cons) i would choose another cpu to fit on this mobo..just my opinion

Not too bad
Comment:
The 1st MB would not recognize any drives and could not boot. They sent a replacement that arrived the next day. that worked just fine. There are not a lot of feature on this, but for the price, it is real good.

Worst motherboard I ever purchased
Comment:
Purchased this board in October 2009. Could not get it to do anything, however I found out later that something else had smoked the cpu. I purchased a new cpu and I was unable to get it to boot up, kept telling me it couldn't find a bootable drive. After several emails to ASUS support I finalling got it working. A week later the USB connectors went up in smoke. This will be my last ASUS product purchase.

Great board 4 a great price
Comment:
Asus all the way for me. can't beat quality at $60. My only problem... it has such an array of processors it can use including the Phenom x4 9850 I bought. unfortunately I didn't realize the phenom I got is one serial letter different than the one compatible. so beware on that. otherwise perfect board

Bought this as part of a barebones kit, had no issues with it. Everything works perfectly for me and I will continue to buy ASUS mobos for all future builds.

You get what it's worth
Comment:
Remember that SE2 doesn't stand for Special Edition and it's usually a label to watch out for since it's a rather cheaply made motherboard. At first i thought the mobo wasn't working since no video would post but later i found out it was the cpu. whew but yeah for the price i got exactly what i needed to build a comp for my lil sis. If your just looking for a decent mobo for web this is definitely worth a look

Bought this board because a friend recommended it. It was my very first build. Everything went very well. Very easy instructions, I learned a ton. I will buy only Asus boards in the future.

It's Ok
Comment:
It seems Ok, except that I am trying to put an XFX Nvidia Geforce 8600 graphics card over the integrated gpu and it will not even recognize it and I am not sure why. Otherwise, it seems Ok.
