ASUS M5A97 Evo ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 970 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:Dimm slots are tight making it harder to install some types of memory. Not a big issue. and 2nd PCIe is only x4 on crossfire.

Pros:USB 3.0, Auto overclocking that works really well. Well priced with high end options.
Comment:
Really good Mobo, and the price is amazing. The bios uses a mouse interface and has every option to fine tune settings for OC. The Auto OC software works really well too, automaticly and safely setting the memory and CPU to the highest settings. USB 3.0 and FX ready. I had no issues with the board

ASUS M5A97 Evo ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 970 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:Angled SATA connectors are a PITAWider than previous 770/870 boards

Pros:Excellent feature set for the priceUEFI BIOSGood solid heatsinks for cooling
Comment:
An excellent board for the price with a complete feature set. Has everything you need other than crossfire: USB 3.0, SATA 6g,EFI BIOS. Good choice for futureproofing a build. If you don't need crossfire functionality, or an IGP, this is the best board for the money you can get.Using with Phenom 1090t, 2x4gb Gskill ripjaws v ddr3 1600 speeds, AMD 5850 GPU, OCZ Agility 2 SSD.

ASUS M5A97 Evo ATX AM3+ DDR3 AMD 970 2PCI-E16 2PCI-E1 2PCI USB3.0 SATA3 GBLAN Motherboard
Cons:- Only 4x PCI-E support for crossfire in second slot

Pros:- Good Value- All Passive Cooling- Clear Manual, and easy to use UEFI BIOS- No Stability Issues to date
Comment:
I have had zero problems with this board to-date - ASUS has not let me down in my last 3 builds in terms of quality. The UEFI bios is really slick - it would be hard to go back to the old blue and white BIOS screens.Decent compatible memory list - the Corsair chips I purchased work flawlessly. I cannot comment on overclocking as I have not tried it to date- although all reviews on the web give it excellent ratings on this ability. The board is capable of crossfire - but only at 4x pci-e speed for the second card. I do not plan to use this feature, so it is of no loss to me (but this may be a deal breaker for some)Overall I would recommend this board for a budget-mid range system that will not be into extreme OC'ing or very high performance computing but still want to have all the features at a very good price point. The true test of performance will be when AMD releases their FX (bulldozer) processors - but for value this cannot be beat.

Cons:sata ports on side were tight in my storm scout case but no biggy I got L shaped cables.

Pros:great build, love the graphical bios and amazing features.
Comment:
great value and features if your not willing to take the step into ASUS's sabretooth line (I count myself in this) amazing BIOS and for capability and feature I needed it was the best board I could find for the price and power I needed.
