ASUS Maximus VI Impact Mini-ITX LGA1150 Z87 DDR3 3000 OC 1XPCI-E16 1XPCI-E2 4XSATA BT Motherboard
Cons:Awkward Sata Slots

Pros:SmallLots of utilitiesDurable High Quality
Comment:
The most expensive motherboard that I have ever owned. Used my parent's money to buy it for school purposes. This motherboard packs in a lot of programs that comes with it. This is a real gaming motherboard! The only thing that bothers me is the placement for the 4 Sata slots. I would like to try out MSI's gaming mitx next.

ASUS Maximus VI Impact Mini-ITX LGA1150 Z87 DDR3 3000 OC 1XPCI-E16 1XPCI-E2 4XSATA BT Motherboard
Cons:Soundcard isn't shielded

Pros:Well built, tons of features for tweakers, good layout, all features needed for a good portable gaming setup, decent price
Comment:
Purchased this to build a Steambox. It definitely is a solid motherboard and has a ton of features. My case came in late, so I was grateful that it has a start button to allow for testing without a computer case. The BIOS is pretty easy to use and has all the necessary features. Another key feature that is handy is there are 4 fan headers. The motherboard layout is decent, with 3 of the fan headers near the CPU and 1 fan header near the PCI-E. This makes it easy to route the cables in an otherwise crowded space. The antenna that comes with it seems pretty dinky to me given the price point. Using my TP-Link antennas, I get 5 bars, but with the ASUS antennas I get only 4 bars. For reference, my office is in the basement of the home extension and the router is on the main floor of the main building about 20-30 ft away. So it does have fair performance considering it has to travel through wood and brick. The soundcard doesn't come with any shielding, so some weak noise can be heard if interference is around. It isn't noticeable, but I will test this with an amplifier to see how much of a problem it is.Anyway, these are just nit-picking points as it is a very solid product and there's not much to mark it down for.
