I bought this case for a friend. Now I have a Antec Nine Hundred. While the 900 got 9 5 1/4 spaces, this one got 10. Plenty of place for CrossFire or SLI setup. HD cage exactly the same as Antec (not a bad thing, WD black g 33 degrees). Nice blue (or red) color. Side panel fan needed to be cut a bit to place after market heatsink Coller Master Hyper 212+ (150mm clearence only). Completle interior / exterior black painted. PSU can be mounted both ways (the right way being fan down). About one inch thick feets for better PSU cooling as well as a place for a bottom fan. Top fan has 3 speed switch. 2 fronts fans have 3 pins fan headers (RPM monitoring) with molex adapters. |

This case is probably the best case you can get for under $150. I got mine for $65 after my mail in rebate. I used this case for a friends build and liked it so much that I used it for my own. I love that this case comes with all of its fan slots filled but one, which is really not optional because even without it this case is a fridge. This case is big enough for all your hardware but not absolutely massive. The case looks amazing with its side window and big fan. It looks great, without looking like an over the top, purple, pink, yellow monstrosity. The case has a lot of features that you would find in a high end case but is incredibly cheap. One of my favorite features is that the inside is painted matte black. The only bad thing about this case is that it isn't tool less, but on the plus side, comes with over 9000 thumb screws. Another downside is that the area behind the motherboard tray is relatively shallow so if you want to route your cables behind it, you'll need to actually organize them on the backside instead of just throwing them back and closing he case.Overall, this is by far my favorite case on the market in the under $150 price range. |

Bought this for a friend's build. He picked it himself. I wasn't expecting to like the Solano as it doesn't suit my taste. I'm more of a Silverstone/Lian-Li type case myself. When I started to build his rig, however, I found the cable management to be very simple and hassle free, I noticed the case provided lots of large quiet fans (can't say that I like blue LEDs anymore though), the 3x4 HDD racks were a nice touch and I always love having the entire front panel covered in 5.25 bays. My only real complaint is the density of the material used. I would have preferred something a little more rigid and I can't say that I like plastic front bezels. Overall though, it was a pretty good case. |

Cons:Top mounted ports listed above is top facing with no dust cover. Be sure to spray some air in there from time to time to keep dust from building up.Case is large but not overly wide restricting CPU HSF to 140mm I think it is. So for those who have tall HSF's, be sure to check your clearance first.Bottom has room for 2 more 120mm fans but there is no dust covers on the grills, get covers or clean regularly if you have pets.
Pros:Amazing Airflow. 5 Massive fans and a bottom mount PSU works amazingly well. Lowered my temps across the boards. I was able to OC my 5000+ BE from 2.6 Ghz to 3.1Ghz and my temps under load were 1C LOWER than my under load temps in my cheapo mid tower from Power Up.A lot of cases do flashy LED fans but not many seem to do it tastefully. This is lit up but not gawdy and flashy, looks great.Front mesh keeps out dust and hairs very well. I have 2 cats and I wipe down the front daily and it catches all the hairs, which was something I was worried about when buying this case.Very big, you'll have plenty of room for all your components and drives.Top mounted eSata, 3 USB 2.0 and audio/mic jacks. (see weaknesses as well)Very small amber HDD activity light isn't bright but easy to spot (My old case had a super bright red LED that drove me nuts)5 massive fans create massive air flow and theres room at the bottom to mount 2 more 120mm fans but one is covered by the PSU so I'm not sure if you can fit another fan there, maybe.Large feet make it ideal for putting on the floow while allowing great air flow through the bottom. Given the fact that I got this for around $100 smackers after MIR I am extremely pleased with this case. You can easily tell from the pic that it looks very similar to the Antec 900. And your right. Azza took a good concept and made it better. It beats the 900 in just about every way and its cheaper almost all the time.Even though there were a few minor things it could have done better, for the price this thing deserves 10 stars, but since this site max's at 5, that'll have to do. |

There's a terrible design flaw for installing drives. Please note that the 10x5.25" drive slots mentioned in the spec means it's the number 5.25" drives you can have if you don't install any hard drives. 7 of the slots are used your hard drives (3.25) with two 4-drive frames that's screwed in. Problem: Basically, when you install a hard drive, you take apart the whole case. Both side panels, unscrew the 4-drive 3.25 frame, install the HD, screw the frame back. When I first purchased this case, I had the impression that the 9 hard drive slots was the advantage... But this seems like a lot of work just to install one hard drive. |

I love this case overall, but i'd say its a large mid tower vs a full tower. I have the haf 932 and that is a true full tower and is a lot deeper. Be careful with the setup cause the hdd bays will probably interfere with sata port clearance and vid card pci express plugs that face rearward. don't use the middle bay for HDD in this case. Overall great buy for the $50 i spent and would recommend this if you can get a sale price on it. $90 actually isn't that bad too. |

Cons:Not sure where the case sound speaker connector fits onto the motherboard. Also, any heatsink above 92mm will probably NOT fit into this case. I fit in my 92 mm OCZ Vandetta just great and lowered the fan speed on silent mode.

This case was a steal for 58.99 after rebate. The only other competitor to this I was looking into was the Coolermaster Storm Sniper Edition but it was just too expensive. This is the best bang for the buck imo and pretty much the best case out there after the Storm Sniper. The Case has a nice half glass and half fan side panel, has excellent (I repeat, excellent airflow and cooling), quiet, the xenon like blue lights look dope as ever! Tall case, 5970 should just about fit I think, it will be tight but it will definitely fit. Cable management is decent, you get some extra cable ties with this bundle. Handle the paint with care as it looks scratch-able. The overall quality is amazing, I upgraded from a Sonata 2 case and the E8400 temps on idle are 28-32C, load are about 45, thats just with the OCZ vandetta fan speed set to silent mode, and also the core has been overclocked to 3.9ghz. The Case has 3 fan speed settings and Low is what I have it set at. Harddrives are cool at 30-32 C.Get this case but a word of caution: A HEATSINK OVER 92mm IS NOT RECOMMENDED AS IT WON'T LET YOU CLOSE THE SIDE DOOR WITHOUT TAKING APART THE SIDE FAN. I USED A 92 MM OCZ VANDETTA AND IT WORKED LIKE A CHARM. IF YOUR 92 MM FANS ARE LOUD, TUrn them to Silent mode and the temps should still be amazing.Don't like this? get the Coolermaster Storm Sniper if you want even more room!Overall an excellent case, i got it for 59 buxks after rebate which is just a steal!! Full Sized Tower for 100 bucks is great! It's also very well put-together and worth every dollar. Love the details such as padded drive bays, and the amount to (thumb)screws that come with the case. Note, only the 2 front fans have 3-pin connectors. Side and back fans are just 2-pin. There's a back switch with 3-speed fan setting that only seems to be attached to the top fan. Kind of lame if you ask me. Side fan sinks into case about 3cm and may interfere with large CPU coolers. IMO, the case fans are QUIET. I've read otherwise, but I'm very pleased with case sound levels. This case is quality. For it's features and the price, well worth it. If you're looking for a full-sized case on a budget, It comes with majority of things you can ask for at a fraction of the cost of other full-sized cases. |

This is really one of the best cases you can get for under $100 (if the rebate comes through), it has enough of everything without being too heavy, too bulky or too expensive. I really like the number of fans, with some control over their speed, though it would be nice if they had headers for the mobo fan monitors. The front panel works well enough, though it is really annoying to add optical drives, and the hard drive cages make me reconsider any sort of changes to the drive setup, as each of the two cages has 8 thumbscrews and requires disconnecting the power and data for all drives in the cage and the power for the cage's fan. It's not quiet wide enough to use the side fan with a large cpu heat sink, but it the fan is easily enough removed. |
