I'm rating this as 5 stars because I don't think you can do better for this price. There are better mousepads out there, but they are 2-5 times the price.I really love this mousepad. It makes my mouse much more accurate than other mousepads (or just using it on my desk). It is a great size. Many other mousepads I've had were too small and I was constantly lifting the mouse to get all the way across the screen.The construction is very solid. I have it hanging over the edge of my desk a bit, so I actually get a few extra inches of deskspace too!I have never had the electric shock problem other reviewers have mentioned.

Alright to put it simply, it you use this around anything electrical that might just touch it, you have the chance of being electrocuted like I was. The metal edge conducts the current from the device to something such as a metal watch and then you get shocked. DO NOT BUY THIS MOUSE PAD! I would rate lower but cant due to the fact i didn't buy it here

Metal baseMetal base interfered with the reception of one of my wireless mice so much so that I was unable to use it.After 2 months finish wore off metal where my wrist rests and now my wrist turns almost black, almost impossible to wash off entirely. Probably not very healthy. Will be replacing mousepad asap.Rubber mesh matting on bottom of mouse pad fell off within a few weeks, had to glue it back on. Did not buy this from NCIX.Had it not been for the extremely poor finish I would have loved this mouse pad.To late to return it and I don't have the receipt to try and get some sort of satisfaction from Alsop.
