Rapid Ship, Looks Good. Nonetheless functions great! Bought 3 items from Antec totaling over 趚 90𞲨 days ago due to the fact of good offers provided via most important-in rebates. Warning! Antec Rebate Center .... does not honor mail-in rebates! Did my portion, mailed info in over 90 days ago. Antec rebate center seems to not exist! They do not respond to your emails. They loose your paperwork. Nicely, I will not buy from Antec again. Antec - you get 1 rotten egg right here! Boo Antec :-(

good small psu, really, and plenty of connectors. Mesh wrap on the 20Ʋ connector looks very good. only 1 fan, i've constantly like one particular both front and back. But this is just for a tiny light duty construct, so this factor shouldn't get very warm anyhow.

A lot of power, plenty of connectors, really quiet fan. Extremely lengthy cables, lots to tuck away in a tiny HTPC case. I replaced an old Antec 500W fanless provide that died and was suprised that this supply had such extended cables. It's a modest complaint given the supply is really inexpensive. I was worried about noise considering that this is in an HTPC but from the front of the case the supply can't be heard.

Worked for a couple of years. One day I switched on my PC and the power provide must have shorted internally due to the fact it "fried" nearly Just about every component in the laptop or computer: motherboard, video card, 2 challenging drives, DVD writer, Firewire card, and Soundblaster Live card. I know any manufacturer can have a power provide issue. BUT a effectively designed unit need to have some kind of protection from this kind of failure. Be conscious.

Silent as can be. Plently of differnt plugs so really feel cost-free to add whatever. Cords are extra lengthy which is nice to have for whatever. Works fine for my perform laptop, but when I tried to switch it more than to my gaming comp. not every thing powered up. Wouldn't recomend for a person thats building some thing extremely power demanding Excellent buy. Quiet. Does the job I wanted it to.

I've purchased about ten of these. I think this is going to be 1 of those unheard-of merchandise that a few of us ten years from now will whisper, "That was the greatest 300-400W power provide ever built." Inevitably, they will replace this power provide in their line-up at some point. I've powered almost everything but an SLI-gaming method with this unit, and in that case, I just get the higher-wattage version of the similar thing. Also, it has a distinct odor out of the package. It fades in a few minutes, but all of these units had that odor. Just weird, actually.I've powered several entry-level, 6-HDD servers with this unit. A few years ago, Antec released a 350W unit that was among the worst ever created. This 380W unit could possibly be the greatest 300-400W unit ever sold.If I could afford to put this in every office computer, I would do it in a heartbeat. It's too poor Antec doesn't have a case/power supply combo unit with this power supply for much less than ๠-๪.

Nice lengthy cables with multiple plugs for the SATA on one cable. The major power cable is insulated in some sort of cloth.I have nothing to compare this to due to the fact this is a new technique but when making use of the"Save a Watt" meter on the newly built system (integrated video) the idle power under Windows 7 is coming in under 60 watts for DVD+, AMD 455, 4GB DDR3, ASUS M4A88TD-M/USB3 and SATA III WD black Caviar drive. All my temperatures are coming inunder 24C in a quite uncomplicated case with only the fans for the power provide and processor. Anybody who is searching in the back of their case at the color of the power provide is even a lot more OCD than me.-:) Not modular but for at this cost it's ok. Just get some cable ties.

I was going to acquire one of these, but now I won't since I've read Antec's idiotic "it makes it greener" answer as to a purchaser's question of WHY this doesn't come with a power cord. Not including a power cord means you now have to have potentially TWO deliveries....TWO complete sets of jet fuel, gasoline, paperwork, packaging, and computer system electricity - how on earth is that "GREENER"??Dumb move, and an even dumber response. I won't obtain your items anymore.

Low energy consumptionThis PSU has powered my 1 residence server day and night for 9 months: AMD Athlon II x2 245, 4GBS G.Skill ram, 2TB WD Green HDDs x2, 1TB WD Green HDDs x2, and El'Cheapo CD drive. This setup costs me no much more then Ů a month to run 24ǝ. None It would be seriously good if it was modular, but that's just becoming picky.I advocate this to anybody looking to obtain a price helpful solution.

Regular sized ATX sort power provide. Construct good quality is very good. Excellent number of connectors and plenty of clean dependable power for low end to mid PC builds. Excellent cost. Incredibly quiet. Did not come with a energy cord but that was OK since I had numerous of them from prior PCs. Had a slight issue with the power socket. The cord that I used seemed to plug in tightly but when I hit the energy switch... nothing happened. I checked all of the cords and identified no complications. I switched to a unique energy cord and when plugging it into the power supply, I pushed it a small added tough and felt it go in an additional 3Ǟ" or so. That was what was necessary. No difficulties soon after that. Just make sure that your energy cord is Fully inserted into the power supply and doesn't just feel snug. It has to BE snug to function. Looks like an fantastic PS. I like the bronze certified power rating. That need to save some bucks compared to generic energy supplies in this very same price range. Got it on sale. Thanks, NewEgg! :-)Also... NewEgg shipping is now exceptional. All of the components for my current PC rebuild were very well packed and protected from the bumps and bruises of typical shipping. It was excellent to see the challenging drive so meticulously wrapped and the RAM sticks given some added protection as well. Superb job by the whole NewEgg team! :-)

Electrically speaking, the PSU works good. You should acquire this power supply if you want to go deaf from the high pitch shriek that this PSU emits. I already RMAed the PSU once due to the fact antec support told me that a high pitch noise is not typical for the PSU. My replacement PSU makes the precise same noise so clearly, the noise is standard for the PSU. Save your self the pain and get one thing a small nicer.

Beautifully run, its quiet, efficient and on my Athlon II x4 630, with 6 GBs of 533 mhz, and (the kicker!) a 5770 GPU, it supports this decent machine just fine. cons... cons... so far absolutely nothing, my technique is balanced, works beautifully and the prospective is totally unlocked! I'm so glad i have this. Reccomended for those with low energy consuming CPU, RAM and GPU (the 32A 12+v rail is all thats necessary to run a XFX 5770!)Completely wonderful!

The construction is powerful, the unit is decently heavy, the fan is quiet, and it runs my new box with ease. I would have preferred it was a black unit, instead of essentially getting the color green. I could wish all kinds of items, but bottom line is I got a superior deal on a dependable PSU. I will possibly swap this 1 into my other case and use the OCZ unit I have.

It runs. Umm... Put your ear next to the power supply and it sounds like wheel of fortune. This inevitably does create the high pitch frequency that everyone else is complaining about. Initially Antec. Last Antec. In all probability won't return/RMA (yes I said RMA it says silent so it need to be silent...) since I don't want to deal with it and it'll function as a test power supply.

decent price Weird green casing ought to just have a sticker that it is green. Lots of hype appears ok power supply, nothing spectacular. Purchased a case that has bottom PS. Tons of wires stiff in the wrong angles/direction. I believe this PS built for leading load. Not enough Pata power plugs, no fan wires. A million IDE power plugs, guess superior if salvaging old stuff from your old program.

This 380 watt PSU would beat most 500 to 600 watt PSU's. This factor is rock stable powering my HTPC. It's powering a core i3, 4gb ram, Gigabyte mobo, 1tb hd, 1 cd/dvd drive, two 120mm fans. Extremely quiet as properly. For the money, this PSU can't be beat. None. What are you waiting for? Purchase it!!!

It's reliably powering an AMD x4 640 on an ASRock 880G motherboard with an overclocked NVIDIA GTS 450, two case fans, a DVD burner, and a SATA HDD. I was told by several individuals that it was silly to get a 380W PSU for a quad core CPU and a GTS 450, but I did my homework and believed it would be adequate. Plus I got an exceptional discount. I couldn't be happier with this buy. There are totally no cons here, except perhaps the green color that people today would see from the back of your case. It could not go so nicely with every little thing, but with my black case, it gives it a cool military look. This is certainly a trustworthy PSU compared to other lower wattage units. I had no issues running my games and music simultaneously at 1600x900 full settings for various hours.

Quiet, inexpensive and quite effective even at light loads. Wires are lengthy enough for a full tower case. five SATA power connectors on two wires. No power cable included. Standard wiring with mesh sleeve on 20Ʋ-pin wire only. I own two of these now. I've bought 3 diverse 400W 80-plus units over the last year or so at Newegg and none of them comes close to the efficiency of the EA-380D. In two unique computers the EA-380D draws three-5W less at idle and under load than then any of the 400W units.Realistically, 380W is overkill for most systems. With out a fancy video card most desktop systems won't draw over 200W. Lower wattage 80-plus PSUs exist and some could be more effective at light loads, but they by no means seem to have sufficient SATA energy connectors and the wires are too brief. There is one 400W 80-plus gold PSU readily available on Newegg but it costs three times as a great deal. There's merely nothing close to this.

Comment:
I like to run my power supplies in between 25% and 50% of capacity, even if they are great sufficient for (as one web site likes to test to) 110%. Peak efficiency for superior energy supplies tends to be at about 50%. It's tricky to get a superior low watt supply, usually you have to resort to the no-name-already-in-the-case unknown entities, and the last 1 of those I applied destroyed a motherboard when it died. This is very possibly the finest around for the value. I'd like to have much more SATA connectors readily available, but thankfully I had a couple of 4-pin to SATA cables lying around. I'd like to be able to eliminate the cables I don't want, but the plastic cable ties it came with maintain them out of the way and tucked up subsequent to supply, so once again, not really a bad thing. Excellent length on all cables for a mid tower, not modular though, but those tend tend to be on the much more pricey supplies. Liked that the unit was packed in cardboard and not polystyrene, liked not having however a different energy cord to hang on my rack. Quiet compared to my case fans and a great deal more quiet than the junk I replaced.
