Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Installation is a little tricky.

Pros: Quality Brand.92mm Fan Silent even at full speed.Price.
Comment:
Got this for 6.99$ on boxing. Installation is tough in a tight computer case, during the installation, you can't really see the 2 clips for AM3 socket, so you have to pretty much so blindly and clip them on. The fan is nearly silent even at 2000 rpm. The reviews on the net, don't recommend it with a 125W+ processor but I am using it on a AMD X6 1055T stock, The Fan sniping on full speed, it is idling at 38 degrees and 51 - 52 at full load. The temperatures would reach near 60 degrees on the stock AMD HSF. Highly recommend for the price.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: None at this price.

Pros: Inexpensive, works great.
Comment:
I had a couple systems that were approching 60 degrees C while running at 100% load with the stock fan. I'm talking about an Athlon X2 250 and Phenom II 550. Both systems still run 100% CPU load, and the highest temp reached in a 24 hour period on the Athlon is 51 degrees, and the Phenom 53 degrees. The room temp is about 23 degrees, and both systems are built with the same generic, not well ventilated case. I recently purchased an AM2+ Phenom II X4 3GHz and temporarily used one of these on it. That CPU is 125W, and this cooler was never intended for it, yet it still did a decent job. I could not run 100% CPU load as it would approach 60 degrees after a while, but was impressed that the cooler did as good a job as it did.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: color (but thats just being picky)

Pros: smallquiet nice for HTPC
Comment:
I love this little cooler as it works great for my HTPC, I really bought this mainly cause it was on sale for $6 and I plan to hopefully unlock my AMD 550 to a triple or quad core and I thought it may benefit from a better cooler then the stock. Just for the price alone this was a great and amazing deal, would buy for another HTPC build if I ever did one again.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Can't think of any.

Pros: Cools better than stock fan, very quiet.
Comment:
I got this cooler to use on an OEM AMD CPU, and it works great and it's very quiet and cools down the CPU nicely. I could be a little hard to install when your motherboard is already installed inside the case with not too much of space left.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Pain to install in a small case with mATX motherboard.

Pros: Better than stock cooler, Great value.
Comment:
This heatsink is good for replacing your old stock one or for OEM processors. The heatsink is pretty big, so be careful when installing it into a small system. It works well and keeps the system cool.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Can be difficult to install.

Pros: Cheap, simple. Good bearing on the fan and has vibration dampening rubber system.
Comment:
It was a bit harder to install that I expected. I first tried taking the clips entirely off but it was near impossible to thread the screws back in after that so I put them on again and got it in by putting it in place and then using a screwdriver to help pull back the clips. I had to remove my powersupply to get good access at one side of it. Doesn't seem to be quite as quiet as I was expecting, though it is quieter than my stock fan which had gotten quite noisy (on an old 939 system). For the price though, I can't complain too much.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Not always in stock.

Pros: Easy installation, great for home system.
Comment:
Great cpu cooler for when you pick up a OEM processor. Clips on easy (so long as you loosen the screws first!) securly, and does better than stock cooling. Tried to pick it up in the past but it's not always in stock. Great to have around for putting together that "system for a family/buddy" that just surfs and watches movies.

To whom want to build their PC as HTPC with AM2/AM2+ board. This is the fan you looking for. It is just enough to fit in the case with sufficient cooling and very quiet.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons: Max speed is 2000rpms

Pros: 4 pin PWM fan which is great for connecting to newer motherboardsCheap
Comment:
Got this to replace 3 pin fan heatsink. Had recently purchased a new motherboard and 3 pin fan stayed on constantly which was noisy. This is running smooth and quiet for AMD dual core. Even though it runs at 2000rpm the fan is bigger (92mm) than my last one (80mm) which makes up for it. Good cheap Heatsink although I will upgrade to a higher rpm fan when I switch to AMD x 6 core.

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons:For this price, nothing.

Pros:Very inexpensive, much better than the stock heatsink/fan that came with my Phenom II 550
Comment:
I actually purchased this to put on an old AM2 CPU I own that had a fan that was making noise. I purchased this at the same time as my new MB and CPU. The heatsink on the Phenom II 550 wasn't nearly as big as this one, and this one has a bigger, but slower fan that will keep the noise down. I haven't measure actual temps, but have run Prime95 for hours and touched the heatsink with my fingers while the CPU was under full load for an extended time, and the heatsink was barely warm.Highly recommended

Arctic Cooling Alpine 64 AM2 AM3 S939 500-2000RPM 36CFM Heatsink Fan
Cons:-None

Pros:-Smallish-Simple-Quiet (4pin PWM fan)
Comment:
This product builds from the previous version of the Alpine, they simply changed the form of the heatsink a bit and swapped the fan for a 92mm PWM one. It's a great little heatsink to replace a faulty stock one or for someone who finds the stock version to be too noisy. It's not for overclocking tho.
