Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:kinda huge , had to modify mount to fit on Asus M3A, othersise northbridge heatsink would hit lockarm of this HSF

Pros:very quiet operation , rubber mounted fan to heatsink reversible clip
Comment:
keeps everything nice and cool , running x2 5000 black k 3.2ghz , heatpipes have yet to get warm to the touch , runs extremely cool , never had it exceed 50c under load

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:no fan control on 3 pin mobos

Pros:Easy install, light, small compared to other some of the other towers, can be quiet
Comment:
I bought this to get rid of more hot air out of my case since it would blow the air out the back instead of to the side like a traditional style cooler. It works very nicely, was easy to install, however the 4pin connector didn't control any fan speed on my 3 pin mobo. So at ~2300rpm it was pretty loud (subjective)so I bought a zalman fanmate 2 (had to break the side off the connector on the zalman so it would fit) and turned the fan down to 1300rpm so it is dead silent now... and no real effects on cpu temps at all so I'm happy. Good cheap heatsink.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:None that I can see.

Pros:Well designed. manufacturing process is very good. Price
Comment:
One of the best am2 in its price range.I purchased this as an upgrade from my stock am2 cooler for an Amd Xp 3800. It is a nice little cooler that dropped the temp at about 10 deg. So well worth the price. Its very quiet and efficient. I would like to see a fan control knob in future releases, other then that , its flawless.

Cons:Did not cool quite as well as I had hoped. fairly flimsy

Pros:Quiet, effecient, was aneasy install for me.? Looks awsome.
Comment:
This is a pretty good cooler for the money. I think it was easy to install, and is quiet, and cools fine.using generic heatsink paste I dropped about 2 deg overall.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:A little difficult to installAudible when at full speed

Pros:Cools wellComes with own thermal paste
Comment:
Installed this in my Sonata II case over an X2 4800+ which is mildly overclocked from 2.4Ghz to 2.6Ghz. It keeps my CPU temp at around 38C idle and around 52C at full load (my case doesn't have the best air flow).Had a heck of time installing it because of the size of it and also because there's no room on one side of the locking mechanism and my PSU. But once it was installed, no problem.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:Big, bulky, hard to get onto socket clips.

Pros:Solid construction, awesome cooling, quiet.
Comment:
Although installation was a bit of a pain, it is well worth it.Replaced the stock cooler on my 4600 AM2 X2, and made a huge difference.Coupled that with a Antec 900 case, and chip temps will NOT go abave 20C at room temps under a full load. When Idle, and all fans on max, the CPU temp sits about 10C. Very impressed. You could even run this heatsink without any fans at all if you have good case ventilation. Not that you would hear much of a difference as the fan itself is super quiet.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:-rough surface-audible at full speed

Pros:-6yr warranty-inexpensive-tool-less design-doesnt wiegh a ton-quiet at idle
Comment:
Bought for my X2 5600, since stock cooler was a chunk of aluminum. Temps in BIOS are 33C, and through Gigabyte utility running orthos 100% both cores for 1 hr, max temp 47C. There are better performing heat sinks, but for the price and nice tool-less design this cant be beat.

Cons:large - ahve to remove to get my my DIMM4.

Pros:quiet.effetive.fast install.
Comment:
Replaced stock X2 3800+ cooler, adn lowered load temps about 10c.Super easy to install,(moreso than the stock cooler, at that) and can be oriented in four directions to help airflow. But it DOES block access my DIMM4, though i never use it. Oh, on my old DFI Lanparty Ultra-D NF4.Also it's AM2 compatible.

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:Retention mechanism seems to exert too much torque - worried about the plastic bracket on my motherboard (s939). It's quite hard to initially install.

Pros:Cools proportionally for the price. Dropped 11 C over the stock aluminum HSF on a X2 3800+
Comment:
For the price, what an improvement. Cools better than the stock aluminum block by about 11~ or so degrees. It can be loud but if you dial the fan down even the slightest bit with a fan controller it becomes inaudible over the case noise. On the s939 (and I guess AM2) mounting the clips seem to exert excessive amounts of force and are quite hard to clip over initially.Side note: The cooler CAN be rotated 90 degrees by simply removing some screws and repositioning the bracket over the other set of nipples on the plastic cap. This cooler cools well but if you want to overclock even a bit the load temperatures start to get high. At around 2.6 ghz (up 600 mhz) the load temperatures are hitting 60, which worries me, so I will be switching to a TRUE.

Cons:It's BIG ! PWN plug

Pros:Silent operation when using controls
Comment:
he PWM plug can fit in a standard 3 pin plug, but I'd rather would have bought the 3pin version (had it been available at that time) !This thing is big, so check before you buy that there is ample space around the CPU.

Comment:
The warranty is outstanding and I can actually see myself using this for a long time. It is huge, but gets the job done very well. Was able to OC my AMD64 3000+ higher than ever. Would highly recommend this product!

Cons:Fan fell off the heatsink, its ok..just thought that was a bit cheap

Pros:Quiet,cheap,4 pin, holds the "load temps" better than the Thermaltake "Silent Boost"..idle temps are high..but I'll see after the 'ArcticSilver " has had a chance to seat in, 6 year warranty
Comment:
This is a good product, I will test it to the max, since I have the X2 6400, which is notorious for running hot.Installation is somewhat tricky., so don't force it..it does go on snug.

Pros:-Dropped almost 15C off of my load temps-Easy installation-Cheap!
Comment:
I bought this to replace the stock heatsink that came with my s939 X2 3800+. I have it overclocked to 2.5GHz and the load temps rarely reach 50C. While using the stock heatsink they would climb as high as 64C while overclocked to 2.4GHz. Idle temps were about the same with both heatsinks.Highly recommended for the price! Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:The fan breaks down within 6-8months of constant use I have found. I've had to pull it off a number of times and give it a shot of grease to extend its life.

Pros:Great Cooling and can be kept nice and quiet. The anti-vibration mounts have not broken down over the past year unlike the rubber mounts on my Antec case fan.
Comment:
Other then the problem with the fan drying out and seizing up, it is a great cooler. Personally, the next cooler I get will have an easy to change/replace fan as I'm getting tired of the constant breakdowns of fans.

Cons:-don't really have one, size might be a problem but i have a p180 so it's all good

Pros:-cheap-cool-not that noisy if you turn down the rpm
Comment:
Got it along with my AMD X2 5000 black edition. The cpu is OC to 3.2G and the temp is idle at 25-26C but then my room is pretty cold too. It's really good for the price, i would recommend it if you want something that's not expensive. The flow of air is pretty good i think since it is blowing outwards toward the exhaust fan.

A nice cooler given the price. I like the design that it is exhausting the hot air to the rear, directly at most cases rear exhaust fan. Didn't see a much difference in temps but may when I eventually start overclocking.

Cons:none that I can see so far.. possibly the weight some say it is heavyier and larger than stock but I have no problem and it isn't that big

Pros:PRICE!!Also it does a far better job than stock and I didn't have to remove my ram nor my Graphics card, nor did I have to take out the motherboard.. It is also as quiet if not more quiet than stock AMD
Comment:
I had this thing out of the box and on my pc in less than 10 minutes and that includes taking off the old one, cleaning the CPU and dropping this new one on... I looked at it first and saw how it went on the board, made sure the mounting clips were in the right position and it was easier to get on than my stock AMD heatsink... just follow the instructions and you're good to goI have a AMD Athlon 64 X2 5200+ Dual Core Processor AM2 On my ASUS M2N-SLI Deluxe ATX motherboard and with the stock AMD cpu cooler I was spiking in the high 50's/low 60's when I ran a Heavy load stress test on the system even with basic web surfing I was in the high 30's and idle at about 31 Now with the Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 on my cpu in place of the stock AMD I haven't hit higher than 47 degrees under the same Heavy load Stress test and I am at 31 with basic web surfing and it is about 27-28 when idle Finally my system is running at temperatures where I expected them to be and I have heard that it takes up to 200 hours for the termal paste to reach full cooling capacity... so it should get even better still This review was modfied by poster @ 10-15-07 10:33 PM

Arctic Cooling Freezer 64 PWM Pro AM2 S754 S939 S940 900-2200RPM 40CFM 4PIN Heatsink Fan
Cons:It's tall. Looks like it might fall prey to gravity and snap the motherboard.

Pros:Keeps your CPU cool. No sign of overheating since installation. Just the right size for a snug fit in a standard case with a side window fan.
Comment:
It's big. I was surprised at the size, but it gets the job done. The fan-guard is nice for keeping my unorganized and loosely strewn cords from being slapped about. The fan isn't too big, as the fan does not compete for space with my cases side window fan. Great fan, indeed. Contrary to "first appearances" the fan is holding up to gravity and has not snapped my motherboard.

Cons:InstallationFront/Back airflow direction onlyAC really has no warranty

Pros:PriceRelatively quiet
Comment:
I replaced my AC Freezer 64 after the fan began making noise in under a year. The warranty is essentially null and void because of the relationship between AC and NCIX.It took me about half an hour to install this. I had to take the clamp off (as directed in the instructions) so it could it could really take hold. It was quite tricky and frustrating. The instructions also say that if you have an AC Silentium case the fan should be directed forward. This isn't an ideal setup as the Freezer 64 could direct the heat upwards towards the top exhaust fans. Oh well. More research on this next time.It has worked fine so far with similar temps and noise to the freezer 64.

Pros:Quiet, relatively cheap
Comment:
Just got this yesterday and spent over an hour trying to install it. It's in now and is working quietly. I'm going to have to open up my PC tonight because I don't have a noticeable "as advertised" drop in temperature. Would be a great, inexpensive, and good looking heatsink/fan if it was easier to install and I saw a big drop in temperature. For now, it's just a quiet replacement over stock.

Pros:PriceEasy installationQuietCase sticker :)
Comment:
After installing this heatsink/fan I noticed the fan would frequently kind of sputter whenever the system powered on. Sometimes it would make it to spinning on its own but often a little assistance from my finger was required to get it spinning and once that occured the fan worked fine for the duration the system was on. Not wanting to worry whether the fan was working or not each time I turned the system on, I returned it. I'm sure I just got a dud but I decided to stick with the stock AMD unit... it's got 4 heatpipes instead of 6, a lot less heat sync, and a smaller fan but I think it's doing just fine.

Pros:QuietCheapNo need to remove motherboardPWMNice 6 year warranty (if you don't overclock)

I have had this heatsink for about 2 days now. My temps have only gone down by 1 degree for idle(44, now 43) and 3 degrees for load. (52, now 49). For 22 dollars, it's not a bad price, but all i can say is you get what you pay for. Also, i couldn't get the latch that secures the cpu all the way down, but luckly, it was still quite secure. I bought this sunday night and wednesday it went on sale for $5 cheaper oh well $25 is still really good price, does a nice job, combined with my case this is wonderful.I was getting upwards to 55 degrees when playing wow or any other newer game and no i go just over 40 also as soon as I stop playing the temperature drops to about 35 within a few seconds and then continues to cool down to idle around 30.If your not looking to spend $60+ for a cooling fan this does a nice job. I don't know how this would do if you were to OC your system but to replace your stock cooler this is great!
