Asus USB-BT21 Mini Bluetooth Dongle

Plugged it in and Windows 7 picked it up right away. I use it for an external Bluetooth mouse and for transferring pictures off my cell phone. Works well for what I paid for it when it was on sale. I use it on my netbook that doesn't have Bluetooth built in so having an adapter this small is a big plus.

this bluetooth dongle works with windows XP. easy installation. And it is so small that even if you hit this while attached to your USB port, it will not detach. great buy!

Like another reviewer I too had difficulty with installation requiring me to uninstall and reinstall. I had an HID failure that took multiple reboots to cure. I though installing a more up-to-date driver would help, but oddly enough I found that the drivers on the packaged miniCD were much newer than the latest available on ASUS' own website... ??? Say what? After some fiddling, I was able to get my Nokia N95 8Gb (4th gen) to connect and sync using the PC Suite Software. Also with the same software I was able to tether my phone and laptop allowing for a truly wireless internet experience! YAY!!!! (Can you tell that made me happy?)Unfortunately, despite successfully connecting my laptop with my awesome Motorola HT820 Stereo Bluetooth headset (Oooh Ahh!), and the fact that the headset's on-board remote controls worked brilliantly (Yesss!), I quite disheartened to have to experience audio dropouts and total falloffs when watching various videos. I also have a bluetooth transmitter that plugs into the headphone jacks on my laptop and have tested this against this dongle on the same videos only to find that there must be something wrong between my laptop, the ASUS bluetooth drivers and the dongle itself. I will be contacting ASUS with regard to this and will post the results.In temporary conclusion... despite the fact that I purchased this Bluetooth USB dongle for the primary purpose of Wireless Headphone listening, I am otherwise quite satisfied with the convenience of connecting with my phone for both syncing important data and the wireless internet tethering. Knowing what I know currently, I would definitely recommend the ASUS USB-BT21 Mini USB Bluetooth Dongle to people for use with cellphones. As for Headsets... the jury is still out.

Was not really looking for a BT add-on. However, when offered as a bonus for $0.01 when purchasing my Asus mobo, it was an easy sell.

I got it for my pc so I can work on my plasma (movies, streaming, etc). Win 7 detected the dongle imdiately. Works well with my PS3 keyboard.

This product got lots of reviews from a very famous site in US. It's safe/reliable to buy IMHO.I bought this dongle to connect my Motorola V9X to my PC. Just install the software and you're good to go. My little problem is when the software gave me the 6-digit passkey, i didn't see any box or underline to enter it. so i just wrote down the passkey. A few moment later, it said cannot find or pair with the device(or some message like that). I couldn't find anywhere to re-enter the passkey. So I uninstall/reinstall the software. When the passkey window showed up again, I just click around the passkey and found out blinking cursor. Then I entered the key on my PC and same key on the phone. Done! They found each other. Your PC may not have the same problem hopefully.Its Bluetooth Place is cool. It's got lots of features that I'm not sure what to do. Check Asus website to see if it's something you're looking for. I prefer the MPT (motorola phone tool). Sync the phonebook and maybe i'll install some games later.
