Extended my four-pin atx on my psu to reach my motherboard connection. Uncomplicated install. None Won't be necessary for best mounted psu circumstances but with some bottom mount circumstances like mine it could save a headache or two. Really helped wit wire management and peace of mind.

Great when you have a case with bottom mount PSU. I develop ŭK+ gaming PC's and I often have 1 of these in there simply because of wire management is so vital to me. You can get 8 of them for ฟ.12 with Free shipping or 1 of them for 8.98. It doesn't make sense. NewEgg really should have 1st class shipping for Ū or some thing. Removed one egg because of this.

Cheap price. My motherboard had a 4 pin connector and my power supply had 6 pin. Generally this is ok, the additional 2 pins will over hang the socket on the motherboard. But in my situation, the added two pins of power supply feed 6 pin were hitting a hold down pin on a heat sink. I installed this "extension" as an 6-4 adapter, and all is great. No complications with blue screening caused by this adapter others talk about. None I hate rating items low, but this factor didn't perform at all for me. When every little thing was plugged in and ready to go, the computer would turn on for a split second and then turn off. I proceeded to do many tests till I decided to unplug this and use the original 1 on the power supply as a direct connection. The laptop or computer turned on and stayed on. The difficulty was that it wasn't getting sufficient power to the motherboard. Oh properly. Just beware, and if you do encounter the challenge i did check this connection initial and perhaps save oneself time!

It's a cable It Melted! The connector to the power supply side melted and was charred black... However am running a AMD Phenom with an Asus M3A board overvolted way beyond typical so the energy draw need to have been too considerably for the low-cost connector to manage.Compared to the connector on the motherboard the pins on this cable look much less solid and don't form a excellent adequate connection. Too significantly energy and it heats up to the point exactly where it melts and burns itself apart. Works fine for a regular system, but don't do any overclocking with it.

It extends my p4 energy connector that couldn't reach my motherboard since of the Antec 300's psu placement. It can't supply dependable voltage if you overclock your cpu at all. I only increased my core voltage on my E2180 .075v and this extension kept causing my laptop or computer to lock up during regular operation. If you don't program on overclocking your processor, this extension will do fine. If you are planning to overclock, steer clear!

This allowed my 4 pin power cable to connect without having being strung tightly over my video card and under my heatsink in my Antec 900 case. Shipping cost is a small odd if you order under 8 of them.
