COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons:Manual - I broke the fastener on the front grill trying to remove it because the manual was diffcult for me to see how it is done exactly - but the grill cover still stays on securely with my "oops"

Pros:Beautiful case, Huge interior, Aluminum, Good cable management, PSU mounts top or bottom, Easy to install a 3x120 radiator, Dust filters, Good airflow
Comment:
I love this case. I put a lot of HDD's in my case as well as water cooling so I want a big case that provides a lot of room for me to work in and still not be crowded. Some extra cutouts for cable management like the 800D would be nice but I knew what I was buying. I love the understated looks of the case. Even though the case is massive, substancially bigger than my old Armor case, it is made of aluminum so it is still lighter than my old steel Armor case.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons: Front filter cover is a pain to reattach/price

Pros: Size/removable mobo tray/build quality
Comment:
This cavernous beast has room for anything you could possibly want to put in it,the intake filters are nice, only real gripe with the case is the front filter cover is a pain to reattach. If the price doesn't scare you away then its definitely worth picking up.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons: The Black marks up easilyThe sides are too flimsy and can vibrate.optional bottom fan on bottom of case makes cleaning PSU screen a real problem.Older Case, some better options out there which are CHEAPER and don't have these problems.

Pros: Huge interior to put all your stuff including long video cardsGood cable options ( can run cables behind the trayMB tray slides out to make installing/removing easierHD trays are well designed and tool-lessComes with two large exhaust fans on the top and hardware to replace/install a good WATER cooling option there.Has 8 pin lengthening cable included to help run behind the MB tray
Comment:
Owning 3 of these cases I tend to like them, but they DO have their problems. When they came out they were light years ahead for most other cases for teh money, with a huge amount of space, some good routing for wiring to hide it, and agood HD tray model. and so on.But now there are a few more refined offering that offer these great advances and more from Coolermater such as the Coolermaster Haf X EATX Tower Case Black 6X5.25 5X3.5INT No PS Front USB3.0 SKU: 53776Part #: RC-942-KKN1Which IMHO is the product of fixing these flaws while keeping the best of the innovations.4 star because it is a good case but better is out there.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons: Not a pure black

Pros: Absolutely MassiveTons of room for cable managementVersitile cooling optionsNice drive mechanismsNot 100% tool-less (no gratuitous plastic)Clean aethetics
Comment:
I was tempted to get a case that has more than seven expansoin slots (Haf-X, Xaser IV) but after realizing that I would never run a quad GPU solution I decided to get the ATCS 840. I love this case and plan to use it for a very long time. Its just in another dimension entirely compared to the old cheap case that I was using. There is substantial room behind the motherboard tray for cable management and even a quick cabling job with a non-modular PSU leaves a clean and unobstructed build. The tiniest caveat that I have is that the colour of the aluminum isn't a pure black and, thus, optical drives, flash card readers, etc... might provide discontinuity if one wants a refined cohesion to his/ her computer.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons: Price, rear air duct

Pros: Solid design, not flashy, attention to detail
Comment:
This case is nearly perfect. The case itself is very strong, even though the aluminum used is fairly thin. This keeps the weight down, which was a plus when I was hauling it up the stairs by myself. Had it been a steel case I would have definitely required help. The case is also stiff due to a couple internal stiffening brackets. This is a really nice touch as it is quite common for some of the lighter cases to be somewhat floppy. The dust filters over the fans are quite nice, but they do require more powerful fans for the air to get through as well, so it's something to consider. Installation of hard drives and CD/DVD drives is as simple as can be made and works quite well. The top I/O panel works very well and feels very solid as it is entirely metal. I would have expected this part to be made of plastic, but clearly CoolerMaster went the whole way with this design. More space inside than most people will ever need as well. Overall a nearly perfect case. Two points make it less than perfect. The price, at 210$, is fairly steep. In my opinion it is worth it, but that's still a fairly high price of admission, particularly when considering other similar (not as well built) cases. The other point is that the included air duct seems of dubious use and quality. It's a big, unwieldy plastic duct with no fan that you can install on the back side of the case, ostensibly to redirect airflow. I left it off, and think CoolerMaster should leave it out completely as well.Other than that, this case is a pleasure to work with.

One of the Best!
Comment:
You did an absolutely excellent job packaging and shipping! The case exceeded any expectation I had for my very first build. The removable motherboard tray will prove beneficial, to say the least. If your looking for one of the best at a reasonable price - this is it! I'll choose Comp USA above the rest as well!

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons:Would look much better if the inside had been painted black.Could of used a few more holes to route cables, (like the Corsair Obsidian)

Pros:Spacious and very easy to work in.Removable motherboard tray.Access hole to the cpu backplate on the mobo (nice!)Quiet with the default fans, and cool too.E-Sata and firewire connectivity on the front panel.HD drives are easy to install.Tons of dust filters.Easy to install water cooling if ya want too.
Comment:
First off, i really like the look of this case. Brushed metal look is very nice. This case is pretty big, but is lighter then i expected because of the aluminum components. I installed an Asus Rampage Extreme 2 mobo with a FreeZone Elite cooler for the cpu, and a gpu and a sound card, powered by a Corsair 1000w and i have all kinds of room inside the case, and was able to route all cables in a mostly hidden manner and its left looking absurdly clean and spacious. Awsome case.

This case is great. It has excellent cooling with its huge quiet fans. The roll out motherboard tray is a great feature and provides great cable management. The only downfall is this thing a beast, at 33 lbs its not light weight.

Great case
Comment:
Just got this case about a week ago and love it. Roomy, keeps everything cool, it's not silent but very quiet. Also is it have a lot of features, removable mobo, filters for fans, concealable front panel, sleek design ect. The only thing is that the case does cost a bit but I feel it was really worth it. Also measure the space you are putting it before buying because it is absolutely massive.

Unbelievably Awesome Case
Comment:
I've been building my own machines for about 15 yrs now and this is by far the best case I have ever owned, once you get past the HUGENESS factor. This case is not for someone with just enough room for a full tower. This thing could be a table leg, but it's well built, QUIET, easy to install to, and it cooled my case temps by 3deg which let me squeeze another 100mhz from my OC, bringing my X4 940 Black up to 3.6ghz air cooled.

lots of room for everything!
Comment:
This case is great for users who like, or need, to change hardware on a frequent basis. Pop out the MoBo tray and do whatever... Lots of large quiet fans come standard and there is room for more. Appearance is kinda plain outside, but they seem to have paid close attention to details on the inside. Great case for a water cooling set up! Air flow is not the best, but only hardcore overclockers will notice.

Quiet Well Built Case with plenty of Room
Comment:
Big case with the best motherboard tray I have seen. Easy access, well thought out design, plenty of room for anything you throw at it. Gives you all the things you need to install (i.e. 8 pin ATX power supply extension) with a bottom mount power supply. Very quiet case with 3x 230fans and 1x 120 with plenty of expansion room to add more cooling. I am extreemly hapy with this case as its solid, though not as heavy as some cases.

Huge But A Must Have Case
Comment:
This thing is about the size of a medium suitcase! But, it has enough room put just about anything you can think of in it. The tool-less design is great. The sliding motherboard tray is a nice touch. There is plenty of room for growth with this. Comes with two top fans, a front fan, and a back fan. Power supply can be mounted on top or on the bottom. It's very flexible. The toddlers will be in college and you will probably still own this case.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons:-Power supply dust filter is a pain to take out if obstructed. In my case my pump is in the way.-Too many rivets can make modding a pain.-Case legs are not tall enough to allow enough airflow for a bottom mounted powersupply.-The front intake cover restricts a lot of airflow.-It will not support triple sli if your motherboards pci express port is right at the bottom of the board.-Case is expensive-The case is heavy enough on its own but once to you add all your components with water cooling it is a pain to move.

Pros:-Great airflow.-Lots of room to work with.-Excellent cable management.-All intake fans have dust filters.-Removeable motherboard tray.-Support for internal and external watercooling setups.-Stock fans move lots of air and are quiet.-Tool less assembly.-Ability to mount 2 power supplies or a single one in either the top or bottom position.-Aestheticaly pleasing.
Comment:
Overall I am very pleased with this purchase. This case should easily last me the next 10 years or more. There is lots of room for watercooling in this case even with 1/2" tubing with 3/4" OD. This is an awsome case for gaming, server or high end workstation applications.I did incounter some problems when trying to install my triple SLI setup. I have a Gigabyte x58 extreme board and the third PCI express slot fits right at the bottom slot. This case has only seven PCI slots, (eight would have been ideal) also the motherboard support bracket is the way. This was a easy fix, I just used a dremmel to make the pci slot a single one and added a watercooling block. Also my Cosair hx1000 died on my cause it was not getting enough air. So I ended up proping up my cause with excess styrofoam from a bathroom renovation. My only regret with this case is that I did not get the silver one instead. I upgraded from an Antec Sonata III to this case a few weeks ago, and what a difference!First off, you notice the size of the box (ncix put the default box in a bigger box and put air cushions around it) it was intimidating, I freaked out a little (thought: what did I BUY!?)It was packaged extremely well coming from NCIX - the inner box had a good 8 inches around the entire box. (I got $6.99 shipping, thankfully)Everything installed as slick as it should - the hard drive toolless brackets mount the hdd's very well (and can also screw them in if you desire, I didn't see the need) Cable management is pretty slick - however I found with the main power connector to the m/b - you cannot cross any other cables over it, or you wont be able to shut the side door.Speaking of side doors, they are heavy, but relatively thin, and flop around when you're trying to put the doors back on (they bend, and don't line up properly) protip: set the case down on it's side to put the door back on..Installing the dvd rw drive was very frustrating. They have a toolless design that you pop the drive in, then press a button and it locks it in place. However the width of the opening was smaller than my dvd rw - which meant a lot of "shoe-horning" to get the drive in there. I don't know if they meant to do that, or just a flaw.. I still had to screw the drive in - because it wouldn't stay in place (even with the side clips engaged)This case is heavy. Heavier than I thought. I guess pictures aren't very heavy. :)The case is really nice too look at from the front. The back is bland - such a shame.. same as the interior. The external brushed metal marks VERY easy, just grazing your finger across will leave a whiteish smear mark. It does clean up easily with water and a towel of some form. All in all an excellent case. I'd recommend it to anyone looking for a clean looking full tower case. Specifically in my case, I should have got something a little smaller, but am still pleased with this unit.

I went to some small mid size tower case to this beast! I got this case thinking that I won't have to get another case for a very long time. This case fits anything you throw in it, I don't have SLI or anything but this case could easily fit 3 way SLI and still have lots of room to work in. I might even buy another one of these cases for another computer eventually!

Overall very capable case
Comment:
This is a great case to buy. It may not look as nice as other cases, but it serves its purpose of having lots of room, breathes very well, and can be used for many different types of builds. Whether it's for a quiet, multi-function PC like mine, or a hardcore gaming build. The 230mm fans are very quiet and does not need a fan controller added to it, although I did. A warning however, this thing is very very large. It's bigger than my Cosmos 1000, and that is a behemoth. I'm getting red LED fans to replace the stock black 230mm. I would get this case over just about any other if you don't want to go the Antec 1200, or NZXT Khaos route.

COOLER MASTER ATCS 840 RC-840-KKN1-GP Black Computer Case
Cons:Not 100% perfect. Would have liked slightly better noise isolation for the side panels and fans.

Pros:Big, build quality, HDD placement, Big, cooling, Big. Did I say big?
Comment:
I got this case figuring it would be pretty much the only case to fit all that I wanted to put in it without it looking like junk. This case delivers. It is huge. It was not a perfect fit for one of my Radiators, but I found a way to make it fit. The case has a very negative pressure however, in terms of Fan layout. 2x230mm fans, 1x120mm, and a PSU fan are all exhaust. There is only 1 single 230mm as an inkake. Also the side panels do not really reflect the rest of the quality of the case. They are quite Thin and fit well, but not perfect. Also, with many fans and a Pump, I found the panels to vibrate sliglty.
