Non really Not genuinely very good for dual cor solutions as the placing of the heat pies does not give it greatest contact path for Intel core layout. I identified the sotck HSF was most likely greater beneath loads. You get what you spend for. Used Artic Silve as an alternative of supplied grease and still was poor performer!

Good product, utilizing it on i5 760 LGA 1156 socket and its running pretty smooth and fairly. Installation was rapid, took a few min, thats all. NONE ! Stock clocks on VGA and CPU, CPU temp went from ㅯ idle to ㅕ, and ㆍ degrees to ㅪ on max load.

I am just now questioning why i had to use so significantly thermal compound (OCZ freeze)?price!! None. Could have supplied you with further fan.Operating 3.55 GHz i5 750 correct now with DDR3 1066 memory. Soon after about 3 hours of Prime95, i'm operating 61 degrees celsius as a high & 1.240V CPU!

One of the cheapest aftermarket CPU coolers out there.Gets the job done for sure, and better than the one that came with CPU.I overclocked my Q6600 to 3.0ghz and it's a piece of cake for this cooler.

** I replaced the stock fan with an 80mm Gelid PWM fan.** Simple style. The fan holder bracket design makes it simple to attach fan. 775 push pins seemed simpler than typical to install into motherboard. Utilized on Intel e5200. Keeps temperatures about 32c even below load. Stock fan too noisy for my tastes. It wasn't that poor but I like my systems as quiet as I can get. I bought two units and the top rated fin on 1 was bent up a small and could slide around on the heat pipes.

I bought this to replace the stock Intel cooling for a Q6600. Instantly the idle temps dropped down 10C and load temps dropped 20C. The fan stays at around 2400rpm which makes it a lot quieter than the stock cooler. It's low(er) profile, about 118mm tall which fit in my Coolermaster Elite 360 case with a couple millimeters to spare. Highly recommend as a low-profile cooler.

I bought this for its small size and I wanted something that would be better than stock cooling. I was impressed! I put it on a Q6600 an was able to OC it easily to 3.2Ghz and maintain 60C. This is in an Antec 900 case mind you, so lots of fresh air in and out. Dual core or quad with a small size that can still cool good, this is definitly recommended. I had pricematched to 13 bucks. Can't go wrong :-)
