Works great
Comment:
Yeah, it's not what the pictures show when you get it, but it's still awesome. Been running in my new build non-stop 24-7 for over a month now, no problems. Highly recommend it.

Not what I expected
Comment:
First off, what I received is not what is in that picture. It has far fewer connections, and fewer cables. Second, all of the system cables are far too short if you're using a case where the psu is at the bottom. The peripheral cables were all fine however. And, if it matters, the heat shrink on the cables is very shotty, and came undone before I even put it in the case

nice psu
Comment:
like others have said, the picture doesn't match the product, but it's probably some manufaturers change, not tigerdirect's. otherwise, exactly what i wanted.

Not what is shown in picture
Comment:
I bought this power supply and i did not receive the one that they show in the picture the one i got says it is a cu-500B but the connectors in the back are not what are shown mine has 4 6-pin connectors that you can plug different cords into. If you are looking for what is shown in the picture do not buy this. other than that it works fine just really wish it would have been what i ordered.

Good deal, wrong watts
Comment:
It is a great deal, but the model cu-500B that i recieved was not a 500w PS, it was a low 400W. Had to return and get a different model.

Good Power Supply
Comment:
I'm not quite sure how to review a power supply. It works find, and powers everything perfectly. What more can one want. The modular is nice.

Easy instal
Comment:
The fan blows air from outside over the motherboard rather than blowing air from inside out the back of the case like the one I replaced; my computer actually runs cooler now and it is also is quieter than the old one.

Dead on Arrival
Comment:
I was so excited when I order this not too expensive 500 watts PSU. But it was dead on arrival. The connector was a little blocking my media drives port connections in the back makes it really messy looking inside the case.

Partially Modular
Comment:
Good PS, though the modular part may be a bit exaggerated. Only the additional 4-pin plugs are modular (basically 3 cables) so if you have a small case ponying up the extra cash for a fully modular may be worth the money.

Great Product
Comment:
This power supply was the best investment to my new computer the 500 watts is more than enough to run my Geforce 9800 GT card and drives. I would buy another one for my older computer if the one in there now goes

Pretty good but did have one go bad.
Comment:
I bought the device and it fired up the first time and died just as quickly. I contacted this site and (of course) they did an excellent job handling the return and getting me another. I was slighly annoyed that the new one didn't have the same connectors (so I had to re-run the wires through my system) but it has been working fairly well. I would have expected a little more quality for the price but it's around where I expected.

Good power supply.
Comment:
I wish I would have gone for the 700 watt model, but this will do enough. Cables are just long enough for most of the longer cases, but if you have a bottom mounted case, then I would recommend wholeheartedly that you get a 4 pin extension. (Tiger doesn't have any, I don't think.) These cost about ten bucks. Hope that helps.

As a power supply its fine
Comment:
my wifes machine was in a mATX case I wanted to avoid wire clutter when her antec 500 watt modular supply went fishy As a power supply im quite happy, 6 pin PCI-e (2 connectors for 1 card if you need) 4 standard molex connectors on the supply which is nice for an additional case fan, just plug right in, 2 SATA ports, the whole 9 What I have problems with is 1)The build is craptastic, thin metal and connectors that don't line up with the plugs, one of my sata connectors is a full eighth inch off, the only way to plug it in is pull down bending the pcb. The sata connectors on the psu are also bad,you can plug them in backwards and fry your drive. PCI-e connector cant latch cause the metal is too close unless great force is exerted on the cheap case 2) the fan is worthless in a mATX case, its too slow and the unit becomes disturbingly hot even at full speed Moving everything to a mid tower the unit runs cool, but now I have room for all the wires I wish I had just bought an ULTRA

Great Deal for a Great Product!
Comment:
I have trusted Coolmax for years. This product is working to my satisfaction. The partially modular design is a nice feature. Install was a snap, and I have not experienced a DOA Coolmax product. This store is very competitive, and I will buy here again.
