My PC is a couple years old at this point and won't take any more upgrades, so I was looking for just enough power to keep it running. This psu fit the bill perfect. Definitely not an enthusiast's product, but it did exactly what I needed it to at a good price.

As for the earlier mixed review about stability with low power systems, I've used about 5 of these already on low power systems with zero issues. I manage mostly standard business pc's, so they go into machines without any extreme load CPU's and mostly onboard video and single hard drives. Despite my modest demands, you can confirm under the referenced review that they certainly scale to their rated loads without any performance issues.

I made an intel based computer system, running at 52 watt. With E5700 computer boot OK, but after few days, he have faillure each 27 minutes. With e3400(lower consumption) the system cant boot. Asus motherboard tell something wrong with current. Tried 2 of these CX430, same problem.I will probably use these power supply on AMD systems or standard intel systems. If you look for a very stable power supply in a ultra low power consumpsion, look for the coolermaster elite 460w in the same price range.
