CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:- 24 pin cable isn't modular? (I'm having a hard time finding faults here...)

Pros:- silence, sweet silence- modular cable design- sexy black finish
Comment:
I bought this along with a couple of heatsinks to quiet down my stock equipment. I spent a lot of time around SilentPCReview.com, arguably the best source for quiet computing. This power supply was an easy choice- it's highly recommended as an efficient and quiet power supply for the average to high-end user. For those of you who care, this power supply is essentially a re-branded Seasonic- a company known for quiet and efficient power supplies. It's a hybrid between their S12 (which has a single 120mm fan) and M12 (which has modular cabling, but two fans). With a single fan for silence and modular cabling, it's a great little hybrid. The small details are nice- the black finish adds class to any case. The modular cables make a huge difference in keeping your cables tidy- especially if you only need to use a couple of the cables. They even include a few black screws. Classy.I've noticed that it's often on sale at NCIX; if it isn't, then wait a week. Don't overlook your power supply- it's one of the most important components for a healthy system. At this price, you can't go wrong for the silence and classy quality you'll receive.Plus, you've gotta love a power supply that comes with a black pouch to keep your cables in.

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:- Modular cables are hard to bind (like if it wasn't multi strand)

Pros:- Very quiet- Modular- Very good bargain in the weekly specials- Casing feel high quality
Comment:
I was looking for a quiet and modular PSU to replace my old one with noisy 80mm fan and this one is almost perfect for what I was looking for. I don't hear the thermally controlled 120mm at all, now I hear my CPU fan instead. The only thing I disliked are the modular cables that are hard to bind as you want like if they weren't multi strand. Suprisingly my 2400XP temps got 4°C higher with this one because the thermally controlled fan don't spin a lot but I am looking more for silence than low temps so ...

Cons:None maybe to much hype

Pros:QuietModular
Comment:
Well I bought this psu because of all the hype I'm hearing about it. Although its a great psu I just don't see any benifits over my old one, well maybe it being modular but even then its not worth it to buy a new psu. Overall it keeps everything running, but so did my old one. Unless you need modular, I don't see a point in getting this psu.

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:MIR

Pros:Very quietModularHandsome looking
Comment:
Very good PSU with a really quiet fan, an excellent choice for those wanting a near-silent set up. I thought my old OCZ was quiet under I got this one. Modular is the way to go and makes tidying of the cables a lot easier. The only thing with this PSU is it doesn't mount very well into a P182, mainly because of the PSU frame of the case being pretty small. You can probably get away with not using the frame at all, since the PSU is mounted at the bottom anyway. Otherwise, haven't had any problems with this at all.

I chose this PSU because of the great reviews and because it's black and looks great with my black case.Running it with 8800GT 512MB, q6600 a 3ghz, 2gb ram, 3 120mm fans, 1 optical drive, and 1 PCI Audigy 2 ZS soundcard. I know it seems overkill now but I'd like to leave headroom for a future GPU upgrade in a year or two. This PSU is so silent I barely hear it running, awesome PSU. Really glad I got it.

Pros:-quiet-cool temperatures-modular
Comment:
Supports basically any average computer with it. Provides a quiet an efficient way to provide power. Current it runs with 4 hdds, 1 dvd drive, a 7900gs xt and a e2180. Quite the budget build for under $500 these days can provide great performance with silence as well. I'm running 6 nexus fans in my p180 and its pretty much dead silent. Upgrading is also as plus seeing as most people wont really be needed the 620w unless your planning on running SLI/crossfire, since the 520 is usually more than enough for a high end single card.

Pros:Quiet, Cool, Modular Cable system
Comment:
This is a very nice powersupply. From the moment you open the box you know it is quality. The modular cables come in a nice pouch and are very quality cables. The modular aspect of this PSU is nice because it means I don't have stray cables improving my case airflow. This PSU is so quiet and cool that at first I wasn't sure if it was working. It works very well indeed.

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:High price, poor modular cable quality and length

Pros:Solid clean power. Will run most systems with ease.
Comment:
I picked this unit up after alot of consideration for a new build. it's currently running a q6600 on an Asus p5k-e wifi mobo, 2 gigs ram, single hdd + optical,2 pci cards and an 8800gt. i wanted extra headroom as i'll also be running a full h2o setup (Ncix ultimate 240) when i get around to installing it. I haven't had a single hicup, and it's quieter than a stock cpu fan (for reference). The looks of it could have been better, although I find the matt finish tasteful. the modular cables were quite dissapointing, as the length and quality leave something to be desired. A good choice if you perfer quality over looks, but not the best priced or best looking unit either.

This corsair power supply is very well built and very powerfull. I bought it because i tought that my old psu was not powerfull enough for my video card. It was not the problem tough, my mobo is slowly dying lol. But i'm very happy whit this psu because it will give me lots of headroom in future upgrade! Highly recommend, don't waste money on cheap psu, it's the foundation of your system. GREAT PRODUCT!

Pros:+ Extremely quiet!+ Modular cables+ Great looks+ Sleeved power cables+ Did I mention extremely quiet?
Comment:
Simply amazing. I absolutely love the quietness of the system. Although 520W may seem little to the enthuasist, it is enough for the majority, unless you are running a highly overclocked QX6700, voltage hungry RAM, 10 hard drive, 10 120mm fans, triple 8800Ultra in triple-SLI, then you have nothing to worry about. This power supply is awesome.

CORSAIR CMPSU-520HX 520W Compatible with Core i7 Power Supply
Cons:Sometimes when I start it up, there is a clicking sound like the internal fan is brushing against something, but once it gets started it's fine.

Pros:Handles my 8800 GTS, C2D and 2 GB of RAM without a problem. Looks very nice, rugged construction and has a monster fan on it that really helps with cooling. It's quiet, too!
Comment:
This is an excellent PSU with a rugged, utilitarian look that you might expect from a construction site or a pick-up truck. It has 54A on the 12V and can handle pretty much any single GPU set-up you have going, regardless of CPU or drives. It's definitely worth the money at this price and it seems that Corsair is doing a good job branching out into PSUs.

Bought this a few months after building my primary system with the 620HX. This PSU is an even better deal, and provides almost all the features that made the 620HX such an amazing PSU. Corsair underrates its PSU ratings, so this is most likely closer to a 600W peak power unit.Fantastic quality, highly recommended!

Comment:
My first impression when opening the box that the p/s came in was wow! Shinny! Dropped into to my new case as I was building a new gaming rig. As I proceed with my install of components and started to connect all the cables from the p/s everything went smooth. My only real complaint as mentioned in the weakness area is the cable length. I was trying to minimize the amount of cables in the pc and because of the length of the 4 pin molex connectors I had to drop the location of DVD drive, which is not critical. Thanks Corsair for making a solid product

I bought this psu for my non-sli system. I would have to say it's my first "real" psu as all the others I've owned came with system cases. I never dreamed a PSU could be so quiet. All aside, the modular cables and price are what sold me. Lots of web reviews on it, the ones i've seen all favorable. This is also my first Corsair Product. Very Satisfied!
