CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 (CMPSU-650HX) 650W Power Supply
Cons: -None

Pros: -Quiet-Cable layout-7 year warranty
Comment:
This powering my new i5 rig. I especially like the GPU power connectors. I only need one cable for my GTX 285 which needs 2x 6-pins. Keeps everything neat and tidy. With a 7 year warranty, I got nothing to worry about for a while.

Good PS except!!!!
Comment:
This is the first power supply I've bought that cost more than $100 and in all regards but one it does not disappoint. It provides good clean power and plenty of it and the modular design is nice for keeping your case more organized. The one flaw and for me it is an irritating flaw since I feel like I paid more for a decent modular power supply is this. At least on the model I received, the power connectors on the cables that power my SATA devices are upside down!!!! Becuase of this I was forced to do all sorts of cable gymnastics in order to get all of my devices plugged in. It makes it so that it is impossible to use all of the SATA power connectors on a given SATA power line. So I was forced into using an extra SATA power cable line to get the job done (more unecessary case clutter!!!) For me this is almost a deal breaker and I'm tempted to look elsewhere, but we all know what a pain that can be, and othe than this one defect, the thing works great.

Excellent PSU!
Comment:
Very well designed. I really like the modular aspect. Cable routing is much neater and out of the way. Air flow has been improved. I consider this a wise purchase. Clean power at a good price.

Stable power for the masses
Comment:
I've purchased quite a few power supplies in the past, and only two companies provide me what I need. Unlike my the old expensive one, this power supply unique wire bundles that can disconnect-reconnect with ease to manage the mess within the system. I like last one for its performance, but this takes the cake for its efficient design, as well as performance. Side by side comparison, so far, this is the winner. Very stable power output, more connections per rail for your connections. No power drop what so ever maxing out at the 600W power drain level. Of course, no one is crazy enough to do a 650 Watt constant power drain for a power supply that max at 650. The price is ridiculously cheap compare to the old. But the bonus is the noise level. My old 650 created enough noise to call it small jet taking off. This power supply's fan is so quite, the only noise I'm hearing is the hard drive spinning, and the cooling fans for the dual processors.

Doesn't get much better than this
Comment:
Yes, the price is up there, but you get what you pay for. I did my homework before buying this and I am glad. i couldn't be happier. It's quiet unless you work it very hard. Not overrated (it's giving a full 650W). It's Corsair's HX pro series, this is the stuff you need. has 7 year warranty too. cables are very managable. DC output quality is superb, treats my equipment like a king.

CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 (CMPSU-650HX) 650W Power Supply
Cons:Price.

Pros:Second HX Professional series Power Supply I have owned from Corsair. I had their old 520HX PSU's and this 650HX performs no different. Amazing efficiency, and almost all of its power is delivered. The old HX520 is still working for more than 3 years and have no problem with it. DO NO SKIMP ON YOUR POWER SUPPLY. Power Supplies can go out, and take ALL of your components with it sometimes. Having a high quality PSU is a MUST. Thats why you buy products like Corsairs which have been tested like crazy and have high remarks all around. Corsair PSUs are equipped with high quality transistors and materials. I always trust their own PSUs.
Comment:
It's a power supply. Don't buy non-name brand power supplies. A quality power supply is essential as a power supply kill your entire rig if it goes out in a smokey fiery inferno. Can't go wrong with Corsair.

CORSAIR Professional Series HX650 (CMPSU-650HX) 650W Power Supply
Cons:* All the Weaknesses Associated With All ATX PSU's.

Pros:* Very Well Built* Abundance of Cables* Single 12V Rail* Corsair Guarantee
Comment:
I like Corsair products. The reason? They make nice stuff and take care of their customers. Their professional line of power supplies is extremely solid. Fully sheathed and modular cables, single 12V design. Upwards of 80% efficiency for anything I throw at it.What's not to like ?Well, it has a couple issues I suppose. I would prefer a couple of the more 'exotic' connector types. Things like a Y split SATA power cable and so forth. I'd like to see Corsair put out something like this in the CPX form that Antec is pushing. Though that's not really here or there.Overall this is an excellent PSU and is perfect for almost all mainstream, single GPU systems. The use of high temperature rated capacitors is also superb as you know you are getting an excellent unit.
