Used two of these fans in my server case. Used a two way power spliter to run bouth conected to the mother board that controls fan speed. The nice blue leds show the faceless server is running! They are the right price, have the power pins to fit my mother board, quiet, and a cool glow.

I came across this cable while I was searching on here for another kind of cable. Due to this neat device ( I ordered two originally because I needed them. Just ordered five more because I wanted too) I am able to use a 120mm Masscool fan that the molex connector loosened off of. That was nearly happening to another one as well. (In both cases it was my fault) The pass thru feature is a nice touch but I am not using it though. As was said by another it does its job.

I needed this adapter to run a 3 pin fan. This got the job done in short order.

I assumed I could use this to convert between a 4 pin power source and a 3 pin one to connect to my fan controller, not enough information was given to determine that this is NOT what I needed.

Dont waste your time. The pins connecting the 4 pin male plug detatch and are a pain in the butt to get back in. Ordered two of them and one has been thrown out. Dont use the other one currently.
