Mysterious side effect
Comment:
So--theoretically, one buys a USB hub so one can avoid the process of disconnecting this peripheral in order to connect that one. So far so good. But this hub--no matter how many or how few of its inputs are being used--mutes the volume on my HP dv7 laptop. Thus I must disconnect the hub whenever I want to listen to music, or anything else, which leaves me pretty much back where I started. |

Great add-on for Mac Mini
Comment:
I recently replaced two Mac G4 MDD units -- purchased in 2003 -- with two Mac Minis. The Minis have only a sparse number of USB outlets. I added two Cables Unlimited USB-1870 USB hubs to each Mini (total of 14 USB outlets per Mini) to accommodate my many USB devices. They work like a charm! I'm very pleased with their performance. |

Has all you need
Comment:
I have three units like this, but without a doubt this one works best. I comes with all you need a power supply, a cord that is longer than the average, and it seems to get the full 2.0 speed on the USB inputs even with a number of devices connected. Worth it's price. |

Great solution for my home office
Comment:
I use my computer in so many ways through a wide variety of peripheral devices. This powered hub solved my problems by having so many ports in a small device. So far it has handled all my extra storage devices, a scanner, and printer without delays and without taking up a lot of space. |

Great
Comment:
This thing is great, works perfectly. And for those complaining about a lack of features, I am not sure what they mean - you plug it in, you plug things into it, they work. What else is there ? I have my two externals and the rest of my USB devices plugged in and there has never been a drop, ever. |

Very good hub. Worth the money.
Comment:
I have tried many different hubs and this one has performed the best. Others are unstable and drop connection or lockup the computer. This one does just what is supposed to do, no worries. |

Sound Product
Comment:
This item works well out of the box. The only thing I would add is a way to mount it on the wall or stick it to the case. |

Cables Unlimited USB-1870 7-Port USB 2.0 Powered HUB
Comment:
Great hub, little bit pricey though. One of the few Multi-TT units available (nobody advertises this, but really should!), and lets everything work at the right speeds thats hooked up to it. Great if you mix USB 1.1 and 2 devices. |

Cables Unlimited USB-1870 7-Port USB 2.0 Powered HUB
Comment:
This is just an average USB Hub. There is no big features on this hub. It is just average. |
Bought this for my perpherial problems. I had shopped in the stores and couldn't touch the 7 port that this one offers. It is a good deal and am very pleased with it. I have Windows XP media and have noticed that my computer will freeze when booting with the port plugged in. Unplugged it will boot and then I have to plug it back in. Other then that, I am very pleased.
