had this for a couple years now and its been good for me. use it everyday and travel alot with it. the laptop fits inside the aluminum base when the fans are out ans it comes with a big spandex band to secure it inside for added protection. keeps my temps down when im gaming for hours. and the angle is very ergonomic compared to a laptop flat on a table or desk. being able to place the fans wherever you want is great and is the main reason i picked this one out of the hundreds of other options out there.the only things i could really complain about are1) i think there is a considerable amount of material left in between the drilled holes in the base that block some of the air flow and they could be enlarged for better air flow. i am considering just grinding out one big hole where my fans already are to maximize air flow seeing as how i wont need to move my fans because they are set up under the laptops intakes. but this probably wont bother anyone else.2) i would like the option to be able to replace the fans with higher rpm ones without having to cut wires and mod the system myself. |

Cons:- You might find the fan noise annoying, but fan noise should be expected with a product like this.- My laptop does slide around sometimes.
Pros:- Even when not using the fans your laptop is elevated off your desk 2-3" increasing airflow.- Base is a solid feeling piece of aluminum.- 3 fans are movable to target the hotspots on your laptop.- Keeps my laptop cooler when gaming. Comment:
Got it on sale and with a mail in rebate. I would buy this again or recommend to a friend. (I have the silver version which doesn't seem to be offered anymore, but is otherwise identical to this model) |

Cons:Fans could be a bit stronger. Laptop slowly moves during usage but can be easily adjusted.
Pros:The slanted angle really helps with airflow. The movable fans means you can place the fans directly below the intakes to maximize air flow. It fits my Alienware m17x perfectly. Only uses one USB slot and comes with an extra slot so you don't lose any. Comment:
I've had this cooling pad for over a year now for my Alienware m17x R3(that's a large/heavy 17" laptop). It works great and has kept the temperatures much lower than if I wasn't using it. The combination of the angle of the pad and the manual placement of the fans means you really maximize the cooling potential. The aluminium material feels solid and not that cheap.It operates with only one USB slot but it also comes with an extra USB slot so in the end you don't lose out on any slots. If I had complain about it I would say that the fans' RPM are not as high as some other fans out there. However, on the plus side this means this pad is not very loud.Overall, this is a good item if you have a large laptop that heats up. A very inexpensive option for cooling. |
Just picked this up this morning on sale for just $31.99 + tax where competitors will charge a minimum of 10$ more. Great buy, in a few minutes instantly brought my core temps down to below 40 degrees and even when I'm gaming temperatures only rise to 50 tops. Get this while the sale lasts guys, definitely worth it.
