Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:Plastic front

Pros:Great cable managementCheapUSB3 front panel
Comment:
It's got lots of room for all my stuff. Fits a 6850 with absolute ease. Compared to my last case (Antec 300) where it just barely fit, this is a huge upgrade. Any card can fit.The fans are quiet but move air well. You can turn the front lights on or off, depending on your preference. The cable management includes 4 rubber grommets to shove your cables through, an open hole just above the PSU to route the front panel connectors through, and a hole in the upper left hand corner of the case for your 8 pin power / system fans. I barely see any cables, and it's got lots of room in the back so you don't need to touch zip ties, just cram it all in and shove the lid on.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:Big holes for ventilation with no filter, cannot remove front filter without removing entire front panel, plastic hard drive holders

Pros:Well built, nice features, hand back pannel
Comment:
Truly a very well built case!It maybe shadowed by its big brother (The 500R), but it does not give up without a fight.Alot of fan placement is a must for any high end case and this one does not lack any. Nice tool-less design is a must for any quick modifications or new additions. The back panel is a awesome feature that makes you realise how nice the case looks with minimal cable. The air filters that come with the case help it keep clean which is a must for anyone who does not want a warm blanket of dust inside the case or has alot of dust (also read animal hair). However, the one thing that bugs me is the front filter. It cannot be cleaned without removing the entire front panel. Wish it could have been like my old antec sonata III. Also, the drive bays seem a bit fragile, but must have some sort of damping properties as plastic does not behave like metal for vibrations. With all the pros and cons,I would recommend this case anytime.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:flimsy garbage 3.5 drive rails, annoying SSD installation have to remove a side rail for 3.5 drive to install the SDD (you know what I mean if you have to do it) .

Pros:black everything, included black screws for motherboard and psu, heavy duty carry handle on the top, hidden cable routing options. fully water cooling compatible.
Comment:
only reason not 5/5 because of the flimsy 3.5 drive rails which corsair should re-engineer for their next case generation. they are very annoying to use with SSDs but better with full drive size. also no 3.5 bay to install a 5 in 1 internal card reader.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:- The top fan grills have pretty big holes. If you're not careful, it's easily possible to accidentally drop  something inside your case. - The back side panel area doesn't have much space for non-modular PSU cables.

Pros:- A quality, solid case for the price.- Very roomy inside.- The rubber grommets are a nice touch.- Dust filters on the 2x front intake, bottom intake, and the drive bays.- Top handle really helps in carrying the case around (the back panel has an indent to help with carrying it as well).- Side panel thumb screws are attached to the side panels, so you can't lose them.- Tool-less hard drive bays.- An LED off switch (I actually dislike LED fans, so the off switch is a nice touch).- Comes with 3x stock fans (front 2 are LED fans).- I like the classic, basic look of the case (I dislike fancy looking cases and window side panels). - Front USB 3.0 jacks that use a USB 3.0 header, and includes a USB 3.0 to 2.0 header adapter (that's a really nice touch!!). - The bottom of the case actually has 4 decent height feet, which gives it some good elevation off the ground, especially considering it's designed for a bottom mounted PSU / fan intake.
Comment:
Overall, I really like this case. It's a solid case, a bit expensive for a budget system, but has a ton of great features. Overall, the case is really well designed, except for two things:1) The two top fan grills have pretty large holes and no dust cover. It's very possible to accidentally drop  something into the case, especially if you leave your case on the floor beside your desk, with nothing on top to cover it. 2) If you're using a non-modular PSU, the back side panel (where all your cables go) does not have much space for the actual cables, even with the side panel's bulged design. Corsair does include some adhesive hooks to help with this, but it can still be a major pain to put that back side panel on the first few times. After a while though, when the cables settle in, it's a lot easier. Other than those two issues I have with the case's design, I think the case is almost perfect. It's really spacious inside and a joy to work with when building a new desktop system, except for getting the back side panel on the first few times.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:None really, just would be better if it came with fans on the top and on the side panel.

Pros:Size and quality are just superb.
Comment:
This case has alot of room in it. It seems like it has abit more space then an average mid tower. There's a handle on the top which comes in handy, you won't ever have to worry about dropping this baby. The cable management is nice and tidy. Everything in the case is black which looks really slick and also has two white led fans in the front which can be turned on and off with a button on the front.Great case overall, would most definately buy again.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:None that I've noted so far

Pros:Small form factor but lots of room on the insideLightLooks greatLots of fan/fan spaceTool-less bits
Comment:
This case looks and feels good. It has a lot more room inside than it looks on the outside. Compared to my Antec P180, the Carbide has more room, is lighter, looks better, has more fans/space for fans, has better air flow, takes up less space... the list just goes on.Although I did not install the components myself, after opening it up I would say everything looks very neat and tidy. All the bits and bolts look great. Very good product, highly recommended.

I'm a newbie builder but this case was fantastic. Great design allowed for an easy installation. I would recommend it to everyone looking for a case in the $100 range. Easily fitted my GTX 560 Ti and tons of room to spare. This review was modfied by poster @ 10-14-11 01:45 PM

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:- 120mm exhaust fan rather than 140mm- No Side panel window

Pros:- It has USB3 ports in the front.- Rubber spacers for fans- Comes with 2 120mm intake fans- Side panels are designed for extra space to hide cables better- Built in Thumb screws on side panels- Removable bottom dust filter
Comment:
I picked this up for a computer i was building for a buddy. I have a CM 690II and this is basically the same case with improvements. The build isn't as nice as CM or Antec but its not bad.

Cons:Bulging sides might not appeal to everyone.

Pros:Great cable management, awesome airflow, very nice design, and very good build quality.

I got my Corsair 400R yesterday and absolutely love it. It was a breeze to install my components in, and cable management is just great. I haven't found any bad things about it so far, as I love the overall design (even the building sides). Overall, for $100, this is an amazing case. I would recommend it to anyone.

Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid-Tower Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS
Cons:-A little pricy.-The top and rear fan-mounts do not use the standard fan screws, the Fan Screws tops are too small and do not secure properly. Even with the rubber gromits. -The Anti-vibration rubber vibration fasteners that come with some fans are also too small for the case mounting holes.-No 3.5 inch external bay for Card readers.

Pros:-Awesome for hiding the clutter of cables.-Great Cable management. -The rubber gromits don't pull off easily. -Lots of fan mounts. -Good cooling. -Sturdy case. -Support USB 3.0 -Has a adaptor to change the front USB 3.0 plugs to USB 2.0 plugs.-Anti-vibration HDD trays.
Comment:
Nice case, with excellent cable management make for a very clean looking build with few wires to impede the airflow. USB 3.0 connector for the front ports, with a port adaptor to USB 2 if you don't have USB3.0.thumb screws for the expansion ports. While the case has many fan mounts, some of these mounts use none standard screw sizes making the mounting screws or anti-vibration mounts that come with some fans useless. I solved the problem by using washers but it looks a little tacky. Its not prefect but its pretty decent case.

A very well designed and sturdy case which should last quite a while. at this price, there aren't many cases which have similar features as the ones Corsair has provided. Very easy to build in, the design has been very well thought out, even for first timers.

Cons:drab all metallic grey and black

Pros:awesome quality for cheap
Comment:
Where this lacks in style makes up with features and space! Got this with the modular 520 PSU and what a combo with a black MOBO. front USB 3.0. Not a big fan of the bulging angular side panels but at his price point you could cut them out and put a window there.
