Cons:too plastic

Pros:plenty of rooms and well cable management
Comment:
basically it's good case. It's too plastic for the price you paid for...unless you got it under $80 like myself...price match it with ME.

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:The screws to mount more case fans were missing from my box.

Pros:Great cooling, awesome looks, and excellent cable management.
Comment:
This is a great case. It has fantastic cooling. The cable management is hard to beat as well. I love the looks also. It reminds me of a star wars stormtrooper with the white and black color scheme. I have to say that I am a little disappointed in the lack of mounting screws I received though. Many people have complained on the corsair forum about this problem. Last year, several received this case without any mounting screws for the fans. Corsair uses a specific type of screw for this case. A standard fan screw will not fit. These cases have been shipped now with the additional screws in the box for months. The one I received did not have them. The corsair rep said he had not had a call since December from someone asking for the screws. As usual, my luck sucks. It is still a great case.

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:only thing i dont like is the LED fan controller for spd "switch" and the button to turn off the LED light are too close to the reset button, twice ive hit reset instead of the led off. not enough to loose and egg though but corsair should have put a little more into the front panel design.

Pros:Great case, lots of room, cable management is awesome. LED fans are bright, have to turn them off at night or it lights up my whole room! lol well not that bright but bright :)Mounting cages are easy to get too, hdd and sdd fit perfectly.
Comment:
Also would be nice if the fan controller had more then 3 connections, would like more so extra fans could be linked to the front panel.

Cons:Front panel fan controller isn't compatible with normal fans (it's only compatible with Corsair's 500R stock LED fan, basically the ones included)Front panel fan led controller is only compatible with the stock fansDifficult to remove the front panel

Pros:New builder friendlyAwesome airflowNice LEDSLots of space for cable managementAwesome lookingVery solid buildCan be pricematched for under 100$.
Comment:
Overall it's a AWESOME case for a first build, planning to keep it for my next builds. It also has a nice free shipping for entier order. If only they would have made the front panel fan controller usable with other fans, it would have been a masterpiece.

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:he rebate is shenanigans, according to them i did not put a UPC in the envelope, which i did, and consequently NO LONGER have. Never got my rebate, they responded with " im sorry, that offers expired now anyways."

Pros:Great case, good layout, lots of room for additional fans.Nice hard drive bays, easily removedWhite looks great, (not that horrible off-white from the 90's)no paint chipping problems.lots of extra fan spotsremovable bottom filter is a fantastic idea, now if ONLY they had one on the front instead of the top(which is usually used for exhaust)Initial setup was intake on all sides except the rear for high pressure, but the mesh on the side tends to leak all that pressure. second try was switching the top to for exhaust (so the nice dust filter up there became pointless), and this seemed to work fairly well. sticking with it for now.NOTE these corsair fans are a proprietary connector type, the wires are for fan power, led power, shared ground connector. using them outside this case, or using other LED fans inside the case, will require some rewiring, not a big deal since i was sleeving cables anyways.

Cons:N/A

Pros:Lots of space,Great cooling,Nice looks,Easy cable management
Comment:
I got this case a few days ago and it has been a delight to work with. Cable management was a breeze(even for a rookie like me) the 4 onboard fans work great and as others have said there is plenty of room for more fans or even a water cooling setup. Corsair has another solid product here. I would recommend it to anyone.

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:Rear exaust fan not connected to the fan controler and it's a 3 pin fan so not software controlable either and it append to be a little loud, you can hear it over the other ones.

Pros:Easy cable management.I can fit my ultra beefy scythe susanoo cpu cooler without removing the 200m side fan.
Comment:
This is a realy good case, it will fit any cpu cooler because of the extended side panel and easy instalation with the big cpu cutout, you may remove the 200m, but most likely you wont need too. Cable management is a charm with this case making it one of the best hight air flow case.

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:- (3) of the (6) installed motherboard stand-offs were sub-par quality, where the screw would only catch on the last, one, thread, with the mobo in place one of the three stand-offs would not even retain the mounting screws; no it was not a coarse thread vs. fine thread issue. A screw could easy be pushed down the tapped hole without any effort, maybe catch the last thread; had to replace 3 stand-offs. If this was $40 case I would not even bat an eye, but at this price point, it was a bit annoying- LED front and side fans (cheesy - I know it's the rage with the "I like shiny" crowd, just not my cup of tea); rather have quality over whatever this is gonna be

Pros:- Aesthethics (subjective, of course)- Quality and fit of cable feed-through gormmets- Case finish (powder coat)
Comment:
Satisfactory, but greatly disappinted. Maybe it is just my case lately, since Corsair products and me are not getting along very well, hope better luck to others. Corsair will definetly not be getting any of my money anymore.

Cons:Can't think of any

Pros:cool, compatible, quiet.
Comment:
Choosing a case was more harder then choosing the hardware I wanted to put in there. I looked & looked for a hole month, Went back & forth between cases. But, I always came back to this case, The Corsair Carbide Series 500R was just more compatible. It looks nice too with the white & black. It went on sale so, I went & bought it for $99. I was going to buy it for $130 witch is well worth it. Some people like to pay less. You can't go wrong with this case, it might have all the things you use. For me I think it is a perfect case in my case.

Cons:Big for mid tower and heavy (not a con if you want room and a solid case). Worth it to know that this is not a small case.

Pros:Solid, lots of room, nice wire management
Comment:
Love this case. Got this as a package deal with a Corsair HX520 (which I also love) and it made the build a real pleasure. I've been using cheap cases for years and its such a change to use a decent case like this. Has lots of fans built in (with white LEDs too) which are more than enough cooling for my rig. It also has a 3-speed fan switch on the front panel which is nice touch. Watch out pressing the LED on/off switch, its close to the reset!

Pros:Looks good. Has all the features you need. Very well built.Near perfect!
Comment:
I was contemplating between this and Fractal Arc Midi. Chose this one due to the sale, the colour, and the fact that the USB ports are not on the top of the case where it would collect dust.Cable routing area could have had more cable tie down points, and HDD activity light is a little too bright. At its price-point, I think it's the best deal.

Cons:non so far

Pros:Price $90 on sale, Great cooling options, cable routing, # of fans and lighted with switch, Fan switch looks, very refined!
Comment:
I think the case just looks great compared to my old Inwin Maelstrom case which served me well for last 2 years, but was not quite working where I had it! This one is a little smaller, has usb ports power light and fan switch on the front where I'll now be able to reach them. Case has superior cooling options, is very refined inside and out, better cable management and I was able to easily migrate every thing from old case to new one. I added some sound dampaning material where I could and modded the side panel so there's now a window in front of the fan on the angled portion. Nice that I can now see inside the case! Runs very quiet, cool and at the sale price feels like a steal!!!The white finish is very nice touch also. It is loaded with fans now which are all turned down for silent running. I couldn't be more happy with purchase. Definatly the easest case I've had to work with and I looked at a lot of cases befor deciding on this one. Oh and the wife likes it to!!!

Cons:Price maybe?, the hard drive LED is a little bright

Pros:Big, lots of room to work, tool-less, very sturdy, fairly quiet considering all the fans in there.
Comment:
Love it. Build went without a hitch. Most of the cables stay behind the motherboard. Components stay several degrees cooler than my old case. Loved being able to add a 120mm fan on the hard drive cage itself. Room for an H100 water cooler if needed. Recommended.

Cons:side fan wire should be longer

Pros:very nice, powder coat is better than paint
Comment:
I really like this case Previous case was a Thermaltake Element S which was very good, but this case is just a little better. The flat top with a phone charging recesse bay makes it better plus the side fan is keeping two passive cooled 6850'd at a resonaable temp. The deep internal hard drive fan location is also very nicely placed. When combine with the evercol budget radiator this thing is mostly silent but still very cool. The white led fans are pleasing. I got lucky and got this on sale. I bet it will not go on sale for a long time because it is so good.

Comment:
I LOVE this case. Corsair has a hat trick, a home run, a 100 yard rush...whatever you wanna call it, the bottom line is winner. Purchased for 89.99 on sale and worth every penny. The Case has an overall great visual appeal, comes loaded with 3 120mm fans (2 of which are LED) and 1 LED 200mm on the side panel. Generous real estate is offered behind the motherboard tray which makes cable routing a breeze. All kinds of features are offered including, front USB 3.0, firewire, a fan controller, an led on/off switch and front audio. Overall I couldn't be happier with this purchase and I would definately recommend it to anyone looking for a midsized case, and would buy it again for future builds.

Corsair's got another winner with this case, i've had builds using the 400R, the 600T in white and this case in white and i've enjoyed every single build, everything is amazingly easy to work with, lots of holes and grommets to route your cables through. the font panel cables also match the case in that they're black.i wouldn't think twice about buying this case again and highly recommend to anyone thinking of doing a new build

Corsair Carbide Series 500R Mid-Tower Gaming Case ATX 4X5.25 6X3.5INT USB 1394 No PS White
Cons:Nothing worth noting.

Pros:High quality fit and finish. Superb ventilation. Space to fit Corsair H100 cooler in push-pull configuration inside the case, with small case mod (mounting holes)to shift the H100 away from the mobo (no case mod required if not push-pull)
Comment:
Superb case with attention to detail. Flawless powder coat paint on exterior and interior. Plastic and metal finish matched, making it difficult to distinguish metal from plastic without touching. Excellent fit. Side panels slide smoothly into position. Screws align with their holes (if you take more of the case apart, which is possible because Corsair used screws in place of rivets to secure the top to the case. The 5.25" drive cage is riveted in place.).Excellent ventilation with space to add a lot more if desired. Ability to turn off LEDs on front (2) and side (1) fans, and front panel 3-position speed control for them is a nice touch. Ability to remove one of the 3.5" drive trays if not required, can enhance ventilation and provide more space for unusually long video cards.Mid-tower case with space to fit a Corsair H100 to the twin 120/140 mm fan mount on top. With a minor case mod to shift the H100 mounting holes to one side, I have fit an H100 in push-pull configuration inside the case. The pull fans are in the top, grill-covered tray designed to hold fans. The H100 radiator and push fans are inside the case. Fit is tight with my Asus P8P67 Pro mobo with the DIMMs just clearing the fans and the DIMM clips partly under the fans. (photo link below)Cabling can be well hidden for a neat installation that does not interfere with ventilation because of the numerous pass-throughs around the mobo tray. Simply route each cable to the backside of the mobo tray via the nearest pass-through. The bulge in the side of the case provides space for the cables. Although case does not have a window, the huge ventilation grill on the side makes LED fans on the interior visible. The four 5.25" drive positions on the front are covered with the same metal mesh as the fans (top, side, front, bottom) so LEDs and LED fans on the case interior are visible from the front (albeit through a screen). The front mesh (fan and drive positions) and the bottom fan positions contain a dust filter. The large grill on the side containing the 250 mm fan that blows inwards does not have a dust filter. The top fans also do not, but for most people these would be blowing outwards. Many small details make assembly pleasant. Thumb screws on the sides are captive so they can't be misplaced. The top is completely removable because it is fastened with screws. Two 3.5" drive cages are individually removable. Case comes with a good collection of mounting hardware. Although drive trays are plastic, the drives just snap into the tray. Although you probably want to avoid putting stuff on top of the case because it blocks ventilation, there is a small shallow tray at the top front so that if you do put something small on top it stays off the ventilation grill. The top ventilation is easily removable with a push-to-fasten, push-to-release clip at one end. The front grill is fastened with metal clips (not the plastic ones that break).Kudos to Corsair for a well designed, well built case at a great price.
