Cons:-3.0 USB doesn't have a header to mobo

Pros:+Great airflow+Solid build+Great cable management+Two huge 200m fans+Grommets for watercooling+Fairly strong feeling side window+Huge potential for expandability for a mid-tower+Hotswap 3.5" or 2.5" HD bay+Intake fan filters+Quiet stock fans, with 3 speed fan controller included+Tool-less entry doors, both sides+Painted interior
Comment:
The appearance of a case is personal preference. If you are going for a clean cut, no LED, mid-tower case, then this is the case for you. This case is well thought out, sturdy, and everything you could ask from a case and more. My only gripe about this case is the 3.0 USB connection to the front doesn't have a header end to the mobo, only another USB end, which resulted in being wired out of the back of the case. Very very minor inconvenience in comparison to the rest of the case. There are less expensive cases out there, but you get what you pay for. I got this case on a deal for $149.99, and it is worth every penny. If you will ever build another computer again, buy this case and re-use it. You may have to replace the fans, but that is very minor. Love this case!

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:-too many separate internal cables to manage!-Not enough room between the rear panel and the back of hdd slot (causes cable stress and you'll need L-shaped sata cables)

Pros:-Clean, professional look-Excellent cable management-Tool-less drive bays-Great cooling.-Superb build quality
Comment:
This case is beautiful inside and out. Makes building or upgrading a system almost effortless. I always liked the 800d but that case is just too ginormous. The 650D is still pretty big for a mid tower case, but the size is a lot more sensible for most consumers.

Cons:-fans are pretty loud even at the lowest speed with the fan controller

Pros:-very good looking design-room for cable management-very spacious-black interior looks nice
Comment:
I bought this case in person at a clearance sale that I learned about on one of Linus's videos back in May for $100. I knew about this case beforehand and it looked really nice. It's very spacious for a mid-tower case, comes with two large 200mm fans. I have no trouble with overheating when it comes to ventilation. The fans could do with being a bit quieter though.Overall still an excellent case which will last me a few builds.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:- Too much flimsy plastic- Too much flimsy steal- Cheap quality fans that make annoying clicks- Expensive for the value of the product, should be sold for around $99- Much better cases can be purchased for a few dollars more

Pros:- Compatible with the h100- HD dock on top- Usb door on front- Corsair name. LOL
Comment:
I don't know where to start. I was looking for a new case and scoured the web looking at reviews. I saw this case and was taken in by the looks, great reviews, and the Corsair name. I decided to buy it.I'll admit when I bought I didnt read the description closely enough. I though it was all aluminum. For $150 I figured it wouldnt be the cheap plastic and thin metal piece of junk that it was. This thing should not be more that $99. Even slapping Corsair on it should not comman a $50 premium.Anyway, I started to put my build together. Side panels are so flimsy it rediculous. The Sata connectors push them out so easily and it looks so bad. There are a few posts on this forum with people complaining about that, but with the Corsair reps refuting those claims, I wrote it off. Well it's true. It happened to mine. The fans click. Sounds awful. From the word go, I didnt not like this case in the least. I am a huge Corsair fan though. I will still buy product from them.I returned it and bought a real case for $80 more. The Silverstone FT02 is a thousand times better. If I could without and order ID, I would rate it a solid 2.Stay away.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:Came with 2 side windows instead of one window and one plain but I got it fixed

Pros:Best cable managment I've yet to see
Comment:
I'm loving every second of this case, the 200mm fans are very quite when at idle but tend to get loud at a higher load which is normal. I love how everything is black makes it look very casual and not all ricy. THe cable managment is probably my most favorite part of this case! The dust filters are very easy to maintain and the front cover snaps off with no wiring hassle so you can install your optical drives with no tools what so ever and the side panel clips are very handy opposed to screws. Very nice air flow through this case also and the USB 3 plus hot swappable and fan control are just some of the great features this case has.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:Very Loud. 200mm fans are worthless. Can't match DVD faceplates with front aluminum.

Pros:Good loocking until you put Optical drives in it. Lots of room inside. Mostly Tool'less.
Comment:
This case is a disappointment. Coming from a Antec 182 I can appreciate the extra room for sure, and some of the tool less idea's are neat but that is where the good things stop. The case is just LOUD. Fans are quite loud and push little air. I do not have the buzzing or squeaking noises yet that others are reporting but they are still quite loud and I'll be replacing them. The aluminum looks good, but unlike my Antec, its really REALLY bad for fingerprints. Also since it's pitch black in color, and DVDR drives are flat black, they don't match, and the front looks unprofessional as a result.Corsiar cheaped out on the little things that make a great case great. Insulation and rubber around screws and mount points, well, there is NONE. Well, except the fans I guess, but hard drives, power supply, the doors, etc do not have anything to protect from vibrations and mechanical noises. Unacceptable in a $180 case. With that price tag, seeing any plastic inside is just pathetic, and all the tool less parts for the optical drives are plastic. The door for the one and only hot swap drive on top is fussy as hell and getting a drive out takes a lot of force which could jerk and damage the drive as you remove it. As for the tool less part, unless you call dealing with thumbscrews in everything tool less.... this one leaves a lot to be desired. The power supply will still need screws unless it fits perfectly in their little clamp thing which my Enermax did not. The PC Card slots have all thumbscrews as well. All the fans have screws. The problem with this case is that it was not made my a company that cares about little details like Lian Li or Even Antec. And with Lian li making cases in this price range now - do not bother getting this. I'd give it two stars out of 5 if I could. Too bad really, with some little effort, this could be a great case.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:-Front panel USB 3.0 require you to plug usb cables in the back of your motherboard, really stupid in my opinion I just ziptied them out of view.-Airflow could be better, but I don't think it was designed to have the best airflow possible, and I'm fine with that. My temps are still great.-Kind of expensive for a mid tower case, but it's one of the best mid tower cases out there.

Pros:-Looks very clean and professional, love it.-Great build quality-Lots of space for a mid tower case.-Removable hardrive cages, which lets the front fan blow air to your GPU.-Amazing cable management grommets, I thought my CM 690 II was great in cable management until I saw this. I can fit every plug of a non modular PSU behind it without trouble. Build looks very clean.-Lots of modding capability, just look at some of the builds with this case on the overclockers website.-Built in fan controller.-Easy remove of the side panel.-Window on the side panel.-Easy access dust filters. -Will fit any CPU cooler on the market.-EVERYTHING is black. All the cables are black even the front panel ones. This makes my build looks so much nice than my previous builds in my CM 690 II.

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:-Top 200mm fan is a little squeeky, but just started an RMA for it so who knows what will happen :P-If you want to use SSD's with the current drive bay in this tower, you MUST use a 90 degree SATA cable since they will have to point into the rear cable management area and not forward facing (otherwise the sata power cables will not fit)

Pros:-Amazing airflow compared to all the other cheap stuff I've been using. The difference is night and day-Nice company support-Great cable management (and you don't need any extentions for the corsair HX1000W)-Great build quality-Includes fans that make this case flow well off the get go

Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons:- Fans are noisier than expected even when set on "low"- Cable management could be a little deeper to allow for more of the power cables.

Pros:- Price is very reasonable for build quality- Have never had a build look this clear thanks to the hidden cable management- Easy access side panels- Quick-release filters for the fans (including a bottom exhaust filter for the power supply)- Looks sharp in a room
Comment:
With this build, I noticed the large top fan and front fan were noisier than I wanted them to be at any speed. Do yourself a favour and replace the top fan with two 140mm Fractal Design 600 RPM fans. There are extra noise dampeners and fasteners in the case to allow you two put two on the top without any modding. These supply more than enough airflow for the top in my build, and I was even able to unplug the front fan altogether. Combine this with replacing the rear fan with a Noctua P12 and it's virtually silent from any distance away. I would give this 5 stars if not for the fans that come with it.Cable management will also be adequate for most builds, but would have been nice for just a little deeper space.

best case i owned to-date!Good looking case.My only complaint is the cheap 200mm fans that it comes with ..they make an annoying pitch sound when they run (even at the minimum) setting... of the built in speed controlI solved this problem by using resisters from my H70 to slow then down even more ... then the sound goes away, but does slow the air flow.

Cons:- Front USB 3.0 is connected through rear cables- Fans aren't the best, not very quiet on default speeds- Cable Management Space on the side is a little tight but still pretty good

Pros:- Excellent Cable Management- Sleek Design- Perfect Sized Window- Tool less HD brackets- Easy to Remove Dust Filters- High Quality LED Power Button and HD activity light- Plenty of Space for a mid Tower Case- Excellent Finish- Hidden Hot Swap Bay at Top- Tool less Doors
Comment:
This is the best case I've ever owned. I upgraded from the Antec Nine hundred which was a great case, it was just a little small and was missing cable management. I know this case is a little bit pricier than most mid towers but you definitely get what you pay for. The aluminum finish is very nice and doesn't show fingerprints or smudges too badly, after all how often are you touching the case.It looks damn sexy and very clean. If you're looking for a nice sleek case that doesn't look like some kind of glowing alien, this is your case. The Front USB 3.0 cables connect to the Motherboards USB ports at the back, which sucks. Fortunately if you get the Asus P8P67 Deluxe motherboard like I did, it comes with a small 2.5" box with 2 USB 3.0 ports and plugs into the motherboard. I actually broke open this box and it exposed just a simple wire. I connected the front USB3.0 cables to this wire and then connected it onto my motherboard . This saved me 2 USB 3.0 ports and having to buy a 3.5" drive adapter so I could mount the USB3.0 box into one of the drive bays on the front of the case. The fan controller is pretty lacking and forces the fans to make noise on anything below High (even after installing the Fan Kit Corsair supplied), so I am using Asus fan controller software (came with motherboard) to control the fan speeds automatically based off of the CPU temp. Works like a charm. I keep the fans at 40% speed at stock temps and they become VERY quiet. So quiet in fact all I hear from my case now is the HD thrashing.System:CASE: Corsair Obsidian 650MOBO: Asus P8P67 Deluxe (REV 3.0)CPU: i5-2500k u 4.8Ghz (1.36V)COOLER: Corsair H50 Water CoolerRAM: 8GB DDR3 1600 Corsair VengeanceSSD: OCZ Vertex 3 - 120GBHDD: 1TB WD SATA3 6Gb/s

Comment:
So I bought this case for a build for my uncle, and was pretty pleased with it. There were a few issues, hence the 4 stars, but overall it was quite good. The thing looks beautiful, absolutely love the style of it. Also, as someone else mentioned, it's giant. I was really caught of guard by the sheer size of it, so make sure to check the dimensions before you buy. That size meant installation was a breeze, and there was plenty of room for everything. Cable routing was also great, as you can cram absolutely everything behind the motherboard. The two things I didn't like were the 3.5" bay caddys, and the fans. I think in all honesty I would've preferred plain old screw em in drive bays, and I wasn't a big fan of the drive bays. They're flimsy, and don't work great for ssd's, and feel like they'll shake around a lot. The other thing was a known issue with the fans making a lot of noise at 2 speeds. I've sent away for the repair kit from corsair, so assuming that arrives and does the trick, that shouldn't be a big issue.

Comment:
So far i've found the 650D a real pleasure to build with, and I think its a great case. Overall, the build quality is quite good, it looks very sleek like all the obsidian cases, and its got lots of wonderful little touches all around. First off, the case is almost completely tool-less, and the only thing you will need a screwdriver for is mounting the motherboard and power supply. Also, unlike some cases, the 650D does not use flimsy plastic brackets to hold graphics cards but rather opts for good old thumbscrews, making me feel a lot more sure of the graphics card mounting support. All the drives are completely tool-less, as are the included dust filters on the front and bottom of the case. The case has a huge interior, and a top-mounted 240mm radiator can be installed for liquid cooling. Its worth noting that although a regular 240mm radiator should fit fine, the combined radiator/pump/reservoir that came with my Swiftech Edge kit had a hard time fitting, and I had to improvise a little with the mounting. That said, you should have no problems with regular sized 240mm radiators. There is an astonishing ammount of grommets for cable management inside the case, allowing you to hide every single cable for every single mounting point on every single component in your computer in the back panel. Its that good. I was able to hide all my cables in the back panel and have them come out right where i need them, and mind you I have a non-modular power supply. The case includes USB3 on the front panel, though the cables themselves go through the inside of the case and come out the back to plug into the back of your motherboard, and do not use the USB3 motherboard header. The side panels are totally tool less as well with nice litte clamps, though i found that due to those clamps, even the slightest bulge in a side panel shows on the front of the case, as the front of the side panels is not secured, only the top and bottom. Thats pretty much my only real complaint about this case, however. I did have an issue with the 200mm fans buzzing, but corsair sent me a repair kit for free within 3 days, and I've had no problems since. There are also a few little things corsair has done to make building a breeze. When mounting a motherboard, the middle standoff has been converted to have a little nipple at the top, so it does not accept a screw, but it ingeniously snaps and holds the motherboard in place while you go and screw it in. Also, the cpu backplate cutout on the back of the motherboard tray is huge, and you will have no problem accessing even the largest backplates on any cpu socket, whether its intel or amd. By default, the fans are a little loud, but the included fan controller gets them to a very acceptable level, and thermal performance is quite good. Also, beside the afore-mentioned fan controller (which can control up to 4 fans, btw) sits a very handy hot-swap 2.5"/3.5" bay that works very well with both hard drives and ssds. It, along with the fan controller, is covered by a sliding door at the top of the case. Finally, while i would not go as far as calling the 650D a full tower case, its very, VERY large for a mid-tower, and its a bit of a stretch even calling it that with its full array of 8 expansion slots at the back. Overall, its a great case, I love it, and I think it really is worth every penny. It will last you a long time, and you will not regret purchasing it.

And I am glad I did, this case shines with great cable managment and the viewing window. The tooless design for drives and cd drives is perfect. Corsair Obsidian Series 650D Black Computer Case w/Side Panel Window
Cons: Fan vibration issues on first few shipments with med and low fan speeds.200mm fan at top of case makes too much noise. ( I assume due to fan controller issue.IMHO not worth $184.99. There are cases just as nice for 100-150, however most aren't big enough for water cooling.

Pros: Decent build quality for price.Very clean and good looking case.SATA dock at top of case is fantastic.Wiring grommets and ample space behind motherboard tray.
Comment:
I was actually somewhat disappointed with this case for the price. If the Fractal R3 would have fit my planned water cooling I would rather have had the quieter and smaller R3.Corsair really needs to implement sound deadening on the interior of a case in this price range to get the noise level down and the value up.Cable tie locations and the ability to hide wiring was a huge plus.I used to have a thermaltake SATA dock and if I can figure out safe removing sata devices using drivers I will be much happier with the built in Sata dock in the 650D.
