Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:-Cannot use front panel connectors from case

Pros:-Great Sound
Comment:
I have used X-Fi sound cards before and this one is the best. The sound amazing, playing games the quality is so much better than Onboard cards. However if you are looking to connect your existing front panel connectors think again. You need the front I/O panel. So your case connector are useless.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:none that I can think of

Pros:eax, shielded exterior
Comment:
This is a gamer's sound card, and at that it does an extremely good job at it. Installation and software works perfectly on vista. I just wished it didn't come with the FATALITY logo. :P overall, highly recommanded for gamers.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:Bloated driver and application install

Pros:Outstanding clarityPowerfull output
Comment:
Like many, I didn't think that there would be alot of difference than using onboard audio versus an addon soundcard, I was so very wrong. Movies, music and games take on a whole new life heck, even the windows startup and event sounds take on a new life.As usual, the drivers and applications are bloated but that's really not an issue as storage keeps getting bigger and cheaper, it's annoying at best and certainly more than a fair trade-off.Highly recommended.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:few bugs here and there

Pros:Nice power outputvery good sound output
Comment:
for the most part its pretty good. I don't find the modes that useful. I wouldn't use audio creation mode and i dont' see much difference in entertainment and game mode. I might not have really discovered it yet but right now seems pretty useless. I got this static sound twice now...goes away after a minute or less. Not sure why but its not happening anymore so thats good. Works perfectly in Vista and is certainly ALOT better then the onboard/integrated sound cards.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:ALchemy doesn't work perfectly to enable EAX in some games in Vista, but at least all the games will play (as opposed to with the Xonar, where many games crash).

Pros:EMF Shielded, Vista support, Optical input/output, excellent sound quality!
Comment:
This card is IMO the best option for a gaming sound card to be used on a Vista gaming machine. I had the Asus Xonar DX 7.1 before this and could not get it to work with many of my favorite games, leading to crashes and lockups galore. This creative card works quite well, all my games work properly and sound amazing. It is much, much better than onboard audio. As I said above, ALchemy doesn't work quite right in a few games (guildwars, bioshock, etc.) but all that means is you can't enable EAX. The games still play and sound very good. The EMF shield on this unit is a very nice touch. There is debate as to whether or not it affects performance at all; in my opinion it does. I found that unshielded cards had a bit of distortion or white noise when you turned up the volume on them, and that in really bad cases you could even hear electrical interference from the computer system's electrical fluctuations. My Xonar was an example of that interference. This card is quiet as a mouse, no interference to speak of.The Auzentech X-Fi is not quite as advanced as this card, but has better quality components on the board (opamp and dac's) so if you only use windows XP and don't intend on moving to vista anytime soon, then perhaps that is a better option. That said, if you're into gaming and using vista, then grab this card!p.s. - I'm using Vista x64 Home Premiump.p.s. - Make sure to uninstall OpenAL if you are having troubles.

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:***Warning buy the championship edition if you want the hdmi out pins***no hdmi, no competition.

Pros:***Warning buy the championship edition if you want the hdmi out pins***better version of sound card
Comment:
***Warning buy the championship edition if you want the hdmi out pins***See this is a great sound card but why can't they include the hdmi pins on this sound cards. Why did I buy a 3d card with hdmi if I can't use it duuuuhAlso for any of you who get this card should know your old front panel won't work with it.... Way to treat your customers you big proprietary giant, you. Awww who is the big dumb giant, you areYes you are ***Can't want for that asus xonar giant to grow a pair and take you down*** This review was modfied by poster @ 09-08-08 01:15 PM

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:None, may be the attitude of creative about there customers, hopefully that will change soon, NOT IN STOCK

Pros:Supposedly a very good card, even better at 130$
Comment:
Overall i believe this card is better then a Asus Xonar DX, but falls behind the D2X, but still i beleieve its better to buy a premium product of one company, then the budget of another, especially in this case, when both companies are huge ,one thing though, NCIX please get this in stock, i want to buy one ASAP :(

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:Stingy drivers

Pros:PCI-ExpressEasy to setupGood sound quality (using crappy headphones otherwise i'll be using Z-2300)EAX support was nice for Vista (including Alchemy)
Comment:
I recently purchased this and it seems to work very well for me. I've owned SB Live! 5.1, Audigy 2, X-Fi Xtreme Audio, X-Fi Fatal1ty Champion Series and finally this card.I think this card has worked very well for me. I've heard of other brands but so far I have been unsatisfied with what the others offer and besides I've been using CL for a long time and they've never let me down. If it were a worse situation maybe i'll switch to xonar or prelude or something like that but otherwise there isn't much that i don't like about CL cards.btw I am using Vista and I've had no problems with any of my X-Fi cards. Honestly, I don't see why people think Vista is so bad... of course not to be offensive. This review was modfied by poster @ 07-08-08 08:58 PM

Creative Labs Sound Blaster X-FI Titanium FATAL1TY PCI-E 1X 24BIT Sound Card 7.1 Optical IN/OUT
Cons:Manual drivers installation was required.If/when I move to Vista, Creative drivers don't seem fully fonctionnal from what I read.

Pros:Sound qualityPCI-E
Comment:
I switched to PCI-E at first to get rid of different crackling and popping sound in some games I had with my Audigy 2, and it worked.I'm on XP (I don't know how it fares in Vista) and was using their original PCI-E card which worked OK but the sound was not that great. This new one sounds great.Installation was relatively easy: uninstall drivers, power Down, remove old card, put new one, power up. At this point it didn't succeeded on installing the new drivers automatically from the CD, I had to run the driver setup manually from the Drivers directory.
