Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:They lie about available storage. This is a 238GB drive, not a 256GB drive. This lie is the continuation of what disk-based hard drive manufacturers have used to overinflate their stated capacity, and I am frustrated and saddened that Crucial has made the same choice.

Pros:Affordable price, fast. Comes with free download of drive cloning software which can be run by DVD or USB.
Comment:
Prior to getting my SSD, I partitioned my disk drive and moved all my large, bulk data to the secondary partition in order to keep the OS partition within the 256GB limit. Then, when I got the SSD and arranged to clone the first partition to it, the partition wouldn't fit, because the SSD was actually 238GB. I had to go back into Windows and mess around with symlinks to move even more data to the secondary partition, in order to get within the limit. If I had known this before, I would have purchased from a manufacturer that accurately lists their hard drive capacity. Don't be fooled, a 256GB-rated drive is probably exactly the same size as a 240GB-rated drive.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:Obviously there are faster drives out there if you want to pay tons of money. Or slightly cheaper drives if you really don't care about quality.

Pros:Really good balance between size, cost, and performance.
Comment:
So far so good. It's been working great, and having switched from a regular HDD, load times on games are now non-existent.If you're looking for the best performing drive on the cheaper end of things, this is definitely the way to go.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:Not best size/price ratio.

Pros:Latest model. Good performance/price.
Comment:
There are cheaper SSD's that use older controller and inferior NAND. This costs more but I was willing to pay for it.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:No mountNo software No manuals

Pros:FastEasy to installPlug N Play
Comment:
The drive is fast, simple, and so far reliable. Its been running nonstop for a month (I rarely turn my PC off). The only issue was I had to buy a mounting kit adapter for my case which, to me, is no big deal since most good cases came out before SSD and don't have a dedicated mount. Also it comes with nothing else buy the drive itself but what else would you expect with a hard drive?I notice a huge difference in load times! Exactly what I was looking for. For only $115 when I got it on sale, it was well worth it.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:- still a lot more expensive per GB than HDDs

Pros:+ cost per GB very good compared to other SSDs+ excellent speed for home use
Comment:
Crucial has a winner with this model. For the price it's hard to do better. Windows load time is compared to my old raid HDDs insanely prompt.

I replace my 128Gb M500 for this one. Now my primary got more space for running. It was to easy to clone my 128 to 256 with Acronis included free with this Mx100. Very easy, 15 min and im ready to go. For me, Crucial is the best for SSD.

Although write speed isn't as fast as some SSD's out there, this one is by far the highest quality and most reliable SSD a drives out there. Nothing bad to say about Crucial's product, I have 2 and they're amazing.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:This is not the best performing SSD out there, but for the price it's excellent value in my opinion. It didn't come with mounting screws, which was a minor annoyance. I don't have a problem with this (had plenty of suitable screws that came with mobo) if it keeps the cost down, but it should probably be advertised up front.

Pros:- roughly $0.50/GB- enough room for an OS and many applications- solid SSD brand- good performance
Comment:
IMO the best consumer-grade bang-for-the-buck SSD model (and capacity) on the market today. I was considering the better-performing Samsung Pro line, but for my needs I couldn't justify the extra cost.Mine came with a key for disk cloning software, but I chose to do a fresh OS install instead.

Crucial MX100 256GB SATA 6Gbps 150/550MB/S 2.5” 7MM SSD
Cons:didn't come with a 3.5 hard drive case so I had to Linus Ghetto Mount the SSD to the back of the case with Velcro.

Pros:Best capacity per dollar SSD at the moment.
Comment:
Decent SSD for the money unfortunately it doesn't come with a 3.5 drive sled so mounting this in a desktop case may be difficult. It would probably be a good SSD for a notebook however.

Comment:
My second drive from Crucial. I have an old M4 64GB that just wasn't big enough. No more constantly fighting for space. Never had an issue with the old drive and I suspect the same from this one.Came packaged as before with nothing more than the 9.5mm adapter and a small piece of paper with the code for the Acronis software.Acronis installed no problems and features some nice backup utilities although 2/3 of the software is disabled unless you purchase the product. Still a pleasant surprise and adds value to an already great deal. Free shipping sold it for me.A good drive at a fantastic price. You can't go wrong.

Cons:I may need another 256gb if the SSD goes on sale again.

Pros:Price, performance, and capacity in a no compromise package. Designed to save energy and protect your files too.
Comment:
The choice between speed and capacity is over. Choose both. Traditionally, SSDs have offered powerful speeds and extra features, but at a high cost per gigabyte. Enter the Crucial MX100 SSD. Leveraging years of R&D and the latest NAND technology, the Crucial MX100 offers a low cost per GB, combined with unrelenting performance and one of the most complete feature sets available.
